Age + Birth date: 18 years. Born April 21st

- Personalities:
- Personality:
Minerva has always tried to hold a calm and composed air, her upbringing teaching her that displaying her emotions was garish in anything other than a private situation. Even so, she has become far more relaxed about restraining her emotions, allowing herself to become more animated in conversation, especially in conversations concerning magic. She prefers to keep to herself socially, remaining a little more reserved than others. However, she believes it is rude to deny someone interaction if they approach sincerely, and will at least converse with someone if they ask her to.
Analytical and contentious, Minerva strives to ascertain the reasons behind why interactions just take place and the motives of the participants, not simply interact. Her time interacting with members of the upper class left her with the idea that every action has a secondary motive. She feels more relaxed around the lower class, where the motives are easier to read, and sometimes not even concealed. She prefers an honest and truthful conversation to one riddled with innuendo and vague statements. Minerva is well acquainted with a basic understanding of the majority of subjects, and it is therefore fairly easy for the girl to hold a conversation with anyone.
Minerva is very critical of herself as well. She detests making mistakes with a passion, and always seeks to improve herself until she has minimized her chances of making a mistake. She immediately seeks to fix any mistake she makes, taking it very hard when she makes a problem she cannot fix, or that cannot be fixed completely. As such, she tends to be more cautious than others when it comes to most social events.
Gaining Minerva's trust is not an instantaneous process. She stays friendly with her acquaintances, even if she can seem a little cold at times, and aids them in their times of need. She holds her few friends close, leaning on them for support when she comes across something she cannot surmount. She believes that actions to speak louder than their words to her. In the words of the young woman, "A tongue can lie but the way in which someone acts will ultimately reveal their heart."
She does not respond well to excessive displays of affection and gifts, getting extremely embarrassed that someone felt strongly enough about her to purchase something for her while at the same time getting mildly annoyed that someone would have the gall to embarrass her. Under the pressure of enough affection, the girls shell of annoyance will rupture and her pent up emotions will spill out into the interaction she is currently in.
Minerva's anger is unnerving, and even mildly frightening. While others may explode in a fit of yelling, or into a berserk rage, Minerva gets unsettlingly calm, while her gaze becomes more frigid than Imuchakk. Every statement she delivers when angered stings like a frozen dagger, ripping into the emotions of whomever she targets.
Minerva's despair, is quite a different story. When the young girl becomes sad, she usually goes silent, refusing to let her emotions spill out. Rarely, her emotions will reach a breaking point, but when it happens, Minerva slowly crumbles into a sloppy mess, sometimes sobbing hard enough to prevent her from speaking for several minutes.
- Likes & Dislikes:
- Likes:
Magic: Despite her childhood difficulties with the subject, the intricacies of magic have slowly grown on the young woman. Magic is now one of her favorite subjects to read on and study
Learning: Minerva adores learning, oftentimes locking herself away on days off and simply reading for the entire day. At other times, she will set out to explore a location she is unfamiliar with.
Traveling: Although Minerva has never set foot outside of the entire Western Front in her existence, her hunger for knowledge causes the idea of traveling to new places and seeing as many things as she can to appeal greatly to her.
Romance: As much as Minerva is embarrassed by the advances of another person, she truly loves the idea of a romance, often fantasizing about the day she meets a man who has his heart set on her.
Dislikes:
Harming A Relationship: Minerva detests the idea of hurting one of her friends, or being hurt by one of them. She actively goes out of her way to make sure that the people that she cares about and spends time with are not hurt by her actions, apologizing profusely if she does and insisting that she compensate them or work to repair the damage done in any way she can.
Poverty: As a woman from an economically stable background, Minerva thinks it deplorable that people with such an excess of money allow others to live in their own poverty, and even exploit them for their own gain.
Extortion: Minerva absolutely abhors extortion, believing it to be the filthiest of actions reserved for only the lowest of creatures.
- Aspiration & Phobias:
- Aspirations: Minerva's background of wealth displayed to her the gap between the rich and the poor. Minerva was impacted greatly by this experience, now seeking to achieve her own independence and support not only herself, but also others that cannot support themselves. She firmly believes that in order to do that, she must become stronger both mentally and physically. She holds firm to the idea of charity and gives what little excess she has to those in need. One day, perhaps she will be able to provide for all those in need, but as it stands now, she will take it one step at a time.
Phobias/fears:Minerva's greatest fear is being to weak and failing someone in their hour of need. She was supported heavily at a young age when no support was needed, and at the age of 15, was shown what people who truly needed support had to resort to when no one would afford them that support. The fear of seeing someone fall into a place she could have kept them from drives her to constantly improve herself and become a better supporter for her friends.
Face-Claim: Emelia Evaine LeBlanc - League of Legends
Hair Color: Silver / Prismatic
Eye Color: Amethyst
Height: 167 cm
Weight: 62.5 Kg
- Appearance:
- Appearance: Minerva's face is a bit more slender than most Reiman's faces, a trait she inherited with her mother along with her amethyst eyes. Born with prismatic silver hair from birth, her appearance can be a marvel when the light catches her hair in just the right spot, steaks of rainbows erupting across her strands from the prismatic structure within. She has a small button nose, and very emotive eyes that seem to shine and shimmer in the light. Her lips are soft and small and a little rosier than most.
Her neck is often covered by a ruffled collar with a sapphire brooch in the middle, her only true piece of jewelry. Her shoulders are often shrouded by a black cloak that falls about to her waist. She wears a billowy blouse beneath her black vest, both pieces sporting a very daring cut-out in the back. Maybe a part of her couldn't let go of the foreign fashion of the upper classes.
She isn't particularly curvy, her breasts smaller than most and her waist and shoulders slim. Her only curves can really be found at her hips, where her shorts and sapphire leggings contain her rather appealing rump, although her curves there would easily be outdone by a more mature individual. Her feet are clad in black boots with steel caps on the toe and heel, just in case she needs to kick something.
Rukh Alignment: White
Special Traits: She has prismatic quality about her hair, causing the highlights in it to appear as a rainbow, rather than as a lighter shade of her hair color.
- history:
- History: Minerva was born the only child of Anax Gladius and Diana Theonese, both members of Reim's guard forces. Anax was captain of his small squad, while Diana worked as a magician for the forces. Her mother had traveled when she was younger, intent on seeing the world, and as such, Minerva grew up with the stories of heroes from other nations bravely defeating entire armies on their own, returning to jeweled cities and throngs of overjoyed people. But of course, as all children who grow up hearing of grand adventure, she herself grew up sheltered in the inner areas of the city of Reim.
Minerva's family held status, which afforded the girl not only an education, but a quality one from one of the more reputable tutors within Reim. It was there that she discovered a remarkable aptitude towards learning and reading, able to comprehend the majority of her early lessons with ease, a feat that would hopefully prove to be useful later. She was quickly schooled in the arts of music, writing, and reading, rivaling children two years her senior. She understood every logical system that was presented to her, quickly deciphering each pattern and applying them to various other facets of her life.
Often, after her lessons had concluded for the day, she would go to the garden to enjoy her free time playing out scenes her mother's stories had told her while she lay in bed. She adored magic, swinging around a stick as though it were the staff her mother used and pretending that she was the greatest spell caster in all the land. She fell in love with the idea of magic and all the things that a singular being could accomplish with the help of the unseen rukh. She would often watch her mother practice with the guard, trying desperately to see the small, white, bird-like flecks of rukh that swarmed about everything.
Minerva attended balls from the age of 9, the dignified and regulated air allowing her to thrive in a social environment run by procedures. She was well behaved, and even moderately acceptable at dancing. She was even knowledgeable enough to understand what the adults around her would converse about. The social gatherings served as less of a ground for interaction, and more of a ground for the adults to discuss business. Minerva would often simply mind her own business, and attempt to figure what the other adults were saying before she made her way out to the garden.
At twelve years of age, Minerva discovered her talent with magic while sitting in the garden one day. Her mother was gently watering the garden with her own magic when slowly, Minerva would begin to see a few ethereally white birds. She was absolutely sure she was just imagining the things, and resolved that a few nights with extra sleep should fix her tired eyes. That had to have been the root of her problem, just tired eyes. Yet lo and behold, when she had awoken the next morning, she was greeted by more of the white birds. Within the week, they were everywhere. She felt overwhelmed at the sight, and partly afraid.
She pulled her mother aside after dinner, confessing to her the recent events that had begun to unfold in her life, and she immediately embraced the girl, telling her how immensely proud she was of the young woman. Within three days, her family had afforded her a private tutor to help her get a grasp on the basic aspects of magic. She ran through countless exercises with the rukh, learning how to channel it with an old staff her teacher had used in his youth. Each lesson reinforced within her the idea that the rukh was something that a magician used to alter the laws of nature to produce desired effects.
She came to view magic as a tool, not as communication or an interaction. It was months before she could make progress beyond creating a simple spark, and when she did, she only managed to shock herself with a small bolt of electricity. From there, it was years until she could channel the electricity into even the most simplistic spell. It took the young woman three years to create a total of three spells that could even satisfy her teacher.
Minerva had nearly given up on learning magic. She'd never encountered something she couldn't overcome with logic before, and magic seemed to frustrate her beyond compare. It was at this time, at 15 years of age, that Minerva learned what life outside of the inner wealth of Reim was like. She had taken a journey by herself down into the outskirts of reim in what she would now call a gaudy outfit. She was appalled. These were the people that the attendees at those expensive gatherings were speaking of using. But some of them weren't even afforded an education.
Minerva was outraged. She was incapable of sleep for three days, slowly accruing resentment for the excessive life her family had given her. It was understandable to her that they wanted her to have an education, but there were people on the outskirts that had to resort to thievery to feed themselves. Surely they were more important than her obtaining an education she could now give herself.
She spoke to her parents on the matter, decisively stating that she wished to live apart from them now, in the outskirts. She left none of her feelings to the imagination, even going so far to indicate that she wished to leave in the morning. Contrary to what she expected, her parents agreed, simply saying that if she ever changed her mind, she could return to them, no questions asked.
Two years later, a young woman at the age of seventeen was living in her own, small abode, working at a bookstore in the bazaar while supplementing her income with the occasional job put forth on the community job board, her love for magic recently rekindled. She was utterly determined to stand alone and provide for herself and eventually have enough to provide for those that cannot do the same.

- Role-Play Sample:“It’s beautiful,” Minerva muttered.
This was it, the seat of the knowledge she had been searching for. The palatial columns that held the regal awning aloft only fueled her unquenchable thirst for knowledge. The spark in her eyes seemed to crackle with a fire that had only been seen once before in her life. This was her time, her moment, and her dream. She was finally able to study one up close, a feat she had longed for.
Minerva sat against a column, laying out her supplies and counting her inventory one last time. It had been years since she had last seen any of the merchants, but old habits died hard, and she’d always had a soft spot for double checking everything.
“...and a week of field rations.” She smiled to herself, sliding the few materials into her bag. She hefted her staff, the glistening amethyst jewel at the top refracting the golden glow of the sun across her face, radiating the same, pure hue that her eager eyes shone. She took a few cautious steps before breaking into a full blown sprint.
“Down the rabbit hole!!”
Her body collided with the thick, mucous-like light barrier that ripped her body into something, throwing the young magician straight into the deep end.
Into her first dungeon.
