Vodarara had recently encountered a few more issues with his combat style against larger and larger creatures as well as humanoids, if he tumbled on the wrong ground he would normally end up on his knees which would mean if the shot afterwards didn’t kill the creature he would be left rather open and vulnerable to an attack.

Many larger creatures got stronger and stronger armoured hides or armoured frontal sections, the more mobility that was used during combat the more that fighting solo and without surprise wouldn’t lead to more cases of injury or maybe even death if you got unlucky enough for that to occur.

Though Vodarara didn’t really have a practice partner that could be there to cause a proper threat for him to actively have to dodge without ending up getting hurt so he had to resort to a tree stump with a log placed up on top as he worked his way around it.

This training would end up taking days, if not weeks, though time didn’t really matter this was acting as entertainment during his spare time to keep him from going stur crazy or getting cabin fever from having little social contact.

Vodarara would start every movement by imaging an incoming strike from something direct or slashing.

One would have to predict its angle and timing, lean in the best direction to avoid what could be an incoming stab, swipe and leaning with your body use its momentum and a kick off to angle yourself to the side slightly closing the enemy, few enemies would expect someone to close them as they attempted to dodge it carried risks but if it went correctly you could then move at a tighter angle.

The main aim was to be able to put one’s self behind the enemy at their back.

This would allow one to use momentum and a secondary push off.

The momentum would allow you to bring your body around, to be facing in the direction of their back as you slid backwards, this tactic was optimal on ice or compacted snow as long as you took light steps and applied low levels of pressure keeping as much of an even spread of body weight as possible.

Before you would finally anchor yourself into the ground, this would be followed up by allowing it to lead you into an attack, if the enemy has overextended themselves they may need to take time to Reengage with you this would grant a large opening if they weren’t quick enough to recover or ditch there weapon allowing you to put an arrow into an opening or to knock them over.

If they ditched there weapon there could even be the opportunity to destroy or clear the weapon far enough away from them to cause them to resort to only using fists which could well be another massive advantage.

This tactic was at least a great option for single target fighting or when you have support from comrades in battle, though fighting multiple enemies or enemies capable enough to react in time one may have to retreat even more.
