New Deposits Part 2 [Lagi/Solo]

It’s been a few days since Lagi checked out the new mines that managed to surface due to an earthquake.  Lagi has been getting progress supports every day; he was somewhat satisfied that the miners were managing on their own pretty well. “The only way that his could turn south is if they get attacked by some bandits while they are working or something. “ Lagi would say as he mulled over a bunch of his other thoughts. The death of shylock has put Lagi into a financial situation, he needed to turn this around somehow, and that means putting in an a extra set of miners into the mines in order to find the progress that wants.  However, his train of thought was broken when a messenger entered the audience room while Lagi was going over through a few things with his secretary. “Sire! I bring you news from  mine in the north!“ Lagi’s eyes widened, wondering if the miners had stuck gold or something. “ Yes? YEs! What is it?! Did they strike gold or oil or something?” The messenger shook his head; Lagi could tell from his expression that it was something bad.

“No sir, nothing like that. Another earthquake opened up a second section of the mine. Another miner went to look inside, but he never came back after a series of screams could be heard. The miners are too afraid to continue their operations .” Lagi would suck his teeth as he stood up and from his throne and started to put on his cape. “Sire? You aren’t thinking about going there are you?” Lagi merely grunted in response to that as he began walking towards the entrance so Zygus can fly him there. “I’ll take care of it, I’ll be sure that those miners are working by the time in done with whatever problem that they are having. “ Lagi would say, rather pissed off that even more problems are piling up. Today was going to be a long day for lagi, and he wasn’t even starting the day on a decent breakfast. “Well, the only thing that could cheer me up right now is  if the perpetrator was an animal. I’ll give it a good whipping  for causing me all this trouble.

It took a while, but lagi finally arrived to the mines after an few minutes from flight. There was a group of miners outside the cave that was awaiting the Kings arrival, the look in their eyes exclaimed that they had a lot of hope. As soon as Lagi dismounted from Zygus, he walked over to the miners with a stern look on his face. “so I’m guessing that the problem that’s stopping you guys from mining is in there?” The miners looked at each other with a confused look on their face. “My king, where is the reinforcements? Surely you aren’t going to handle this by yourself are you?” Lagi sucked his teeth as he patted the man on the shoulder.

“I’ll be sure to take care of this, you don’t need an army. You have a warrior king that fights for his people. Just have some faith, you’ll be back to work in no time. “Lagi would say, as he got himself mentally ready for whatever that’s going to happen next. “Alright, here we go…” Lagi entered the mines and walked through, there were some lanterns that were placed by the miners, along with the fact that the rare metals of the cave had somewhat of a shine to it. After a little bit of waling, LAgi came across the section that was unearthed due to the earthquake. “This must be the area that the miner was last seen. “There was blood all around the entrance and a dismembered body, but Lagi didn’t let that bother him too much. After entering that section, Lagi took a gander at the amazing beast that’s stood in his path. A wicked smile formed on his face as the beast growled at him. It ran over at lagi with the intention of smashing him with C rank strength

Lagi simply snapped his fingers at the beast, using his ruler gem to create a powerful sound attack that took the form of a 15 meter cone, travelling at 20 m/s with 30 meters being its max travel. Since it was sound magic, the cone was slightly visible and unexpected in general, hitting the golem head on. “ Done and done….” Lagi would say as he walked over to the injured and unconscious golem. “I’ll raise you well, and you’re going to tell me where the rest of your friends are. Look forward to it….”
