Joining The Elite[Closed][Aulus/Octavius]

Aulus made his way from his home walking the great and beautiful streets of the Reim empire, go to the meeting place he asked the leader of the Fanalis corps to meet him at. It didn't take him long to where he needed to be, since he lived not that far from there.

After making it there it didn't take Aulus any time to get comfortable. Aulus sat laughing with the many women that flocked over to him, they all were having a good time. The great place that Aulus was in and had invited the leader of the Fanalis corps was a brothel.The reason for Aulus inviting the man her was because well to have a good time and relax, and to him whats a better way for two men to relax then with women. And if the leader of the Fanalis corps couldn't do that what was the point of joining. Because what is the point of following someone who can't enjoy life.Aulus waits as he enjoys his time drinking and conversing with the women, he was in a spot where he could be seen by anyone who would enter the brothel.

Octavius was not a big fan of Brothels. The fact of the matter was the last women whom he was committed to was his dead wife, and ever since then he couldn't really remove her from his mind.He also had a daughter who would most likely scold him if he even mentioned going to a place like this, so he decided it would be best to keep this a secret from her.

"Sir.. We have arrived.... Isn't this a strange place to meet." Said one of the Fanalis who was escorting him.


"Yes it is. Just wait here, and make sure you don't break anything."

Octavius said as he walked into the Brothel. as he walked into it he scanned the room looking around before seeing a man with red hair. That had to be the Fanalis. He walked over and stood  upright. He was quite strong, and sat down. in a chair not too far from the man. Women began to circle around him but he didn't quite pay attention to them, not really looking at them  or letting them touch him.

"Midora, I assume?"

Octavius said. His biceps were quite large, and most of his body was pure muscle mass. Simply by the look of it one would be intimidated. His look seemed plain. Maybe one would be scared by the straight face he had. If the man responded with a yes, Octavius would quickly crack a smile and speak to the man.

"Octavius Flavius." He said holding out his hand to be shaken by the man.

"Yes, I am Aulus! Nice to finally meet you!" Aulus says as he leans forward and shakes the impressive man's hand. Aulus had a grin on his face as he leaned back on the couch, he also then took a drink he was served.

"Okay, lets get to business." Aulu's happy expression quickly turned into a serious one."I wish to join the Fanalis corps. But I first want to know what type of man you are." The women that were around them left seeing that the two fanali's conversation was serious and they should have their privacy. Aulus honestly didn't know anything about the Fanalis corps or even Fanalis at that; since he wasn't raised by fanalis or for that matter been around any. It was obvious he wanted to join but wouldn't if the answer he was given was one he couldn't except.

The man verified his identity and Octavius was glad to see that he had a smile on his face also. Drinks were served to both men. Octavius took his drank and put it toward his mouth as Aulus chained his expression into a serious one. As Octavius brought the cup to his mouth he smelt it making sure there was no weird smell on it. Ever since one incident when he had gotten drugged up by someone, and had been saved by his subordinate he had been careful on what he put in his mouth. He took a sip of the drink before putting it down. "Very well."

He responded waiting to here what the mans question was. The women around left, and this man seemed to be clueless about the Fanalis Corps. "Were an elite part of the Reim army. We are Reim's fire power basically. We are made of all Fanalis making us one of the most feared parts for many nations that go to war with Reim. You can expect to be called for duty if anything urgent happens, and you may have to take a few lives. That is all the information I can disclose without having to kill you. " Octavius said with a laugh. His chuckle seemed quite genuine but Octavius was quite serious. The things they did could not be discussed. If the King thought that something or someone needed to be killed the Fanalis Corps would wipe out an entire Regiment if needed. They were one of the most deadliest groups.
"So what will your decision be? Will you join your brothers and sisters? or will you continue your life the way it is. I will respect your decision no matter what. "

The words brothers and sisters made Aulus smile, if he joined he would be around those that would look at him with love and would be his comrades, but he returned to his serious expression because this was a serious conversation

Aulu took a minute to answer and after taking a drink after being served he would begin to speak."Yes, I want to join." He took a sip from his drink again and would resume talking."But lets not end this meeting. I want to still know more about you and also more about the fanalis in general." Aulus then finishes his drink. He truly wanted to know about the man he was going to be following and giving all his trust to. And he also wanted to know more about his race, thinking that this man had many answers. Because as a kid didn't grow up around other fanalis he grew up around regular humans,who knew nothing about his races other then many of them where slaves and some members of the fanalis corps.

Aulus waited for the man to answer his question he would be brought another drink,drinking all of it quickly. Aulus never broke eye contact as he spoke and drank,giving his full attention to the mighty fanalis that sat before him.

The man said he would like to join and therefore Octavius liked him. However the man craved to hear more. Octavius looked at the male and wondered what exactly he wanted to know about him. Octvaius would give the basic informations that he gave most people not really wanting to go into detail about his personal life. "I am 48 and I have led this corps for the last twenty years or so. I have a daughter, she is about 20. I care about her more than anything in the world. Regarding our race we seem to lack the capabilities to use magic or be magicians. Our scientist has also proven our Magoi is significantly lower than most." Octavius said. He knew basic things about the race but even some of the information he had was top secret, therefore it would stay with him and only him. He lifted his cup now drinking from it wondering what else he could tell this man.

" As a species right now it is rumored that we came from the dark continent." Octavius said. This would be where he would drop the dark continent topic. He would act obvious to it, not wanting to add anything more or less regarding it. "Yet that is just a rumor. I haven't really investigated in it." Octavius said. He looked at the man now curious on what kind of a man he was and Octavius decided to turn the tables. "What type of a man you are? This will help me decide what your role will be in the corps since I give you most of your assignments."  As he spoke a Fanalis walked in walking toward the two. He came to Octavius and whispered something in his ear. "Oh.. We shall continue this conversation sometime later. It seems like I have to deal with some bandits causing a ruckus in the outskirts of Reim."

Octavius got up and began to walk to the door but before he did that he turned around. "If I failed to answer any of your questions feel free to find my daughter. She is usually hanging around the Fanalis Corps. Tell her Octavius sent you to train Fanalis techniques. Welcome to the Corps." With that Octavius turned around letting his cape follow him as he exited the door and mounted a horse. He smiled, the kid he had been with seem intresting. He was curious and that curiosity would prove to help him unlock his potential. Octavius like the kid he had spunk. He even reminded Octavius of himself when he was young and scrawny like the young man he had just met.

"Okay, I will sure to do that." Aulus says as he leans back on the couch he was on, somewhat satisfied with the answers he was given.Aulus has a strong feeling that Octavius knew more their races then he was telling, but this didn't really bother Aulus at the moment. Because he still told Aulus some interesting things about their race, the Fanalis.

Aulus really didn't care about them not being able to use magic or become magicians, never really caring about that. Or even that the fanalis have less Magoi then most. The thing that most interested Aulus was the rumor that they where from the Dark continent. Mainly due to Octavius dropping the subject about it as soon as quickly he spoke it. What was the Dark continent? Was their race still there? Were the two questions he was going to either ask Octavius next time they had a friendly chat.

Soon Aulus would not worry about anything that was said in the meeting that just took place; today was his day to relax before receiving assignments as a member of the Fanalis corps. The women from earlier came back, bringing drinks with them. Aulus was going t finish his business in the brothel and then head home. "So where were we ladies!" Aulus would say in a cheerful manner as the all got closer together, a lewd smile creeping across his face.

Aulus stood up and left the brothel, the sun was now gone and the moon was high in the sky. The city was beautiful at night to Aulus especially when the moon was so high up in the sky like it was. Aulus didn't really pay any mind to anything else a he finally made it home and quickly fell asleep n the floor next to his bed.
