The wood for the construction was going to be the first of the two materials that they try to gather. The material in question was from a cypress tree that grew almost exclusively in a grove deep in the jungle of Merridia. The residents were what made it an isolated grove that was not welcoming to visitors. It’s already isolated nature made it a rather peaceful location. When there is times of peace there tends to be a rise in unrest and mischief. The current nuisance of this grove was a group of monkeys that were the inhabitants and protected their home with their mischief.
These prime apes were not exactly malignant in their nature or actions. They were simply impish creatures that liked to create pranks and harass any unlucky souls that find themselves in their territory. This was more so for their own amusement than anything else. But even amusement can kill. Thankfully no one has actually perished from their antics but dozens of visitors have been injured in the recent years. This would prove to be difficult for the sculptor and the architect but they would not let this prevent their path to pure art.
The duo would begin to make the trip through the dense forest of Merrida to get to their location. Ustad was not something that was the best with directions so Josser was the one that was leading the small group. They were taking a wagon that was pulled by a pair of oxen because this would be the easiest way to transport the wood that they manage to harvest. Because of the density of the forest and the winding nature of the path, it would end up taking them the whole day to get to the grove. The sun had just begun to set and they were still a few kilometers away, so they would end up making up a camp for the night. Things up to this point had seemed to be peaceful enough and would appear to continue so throughout the night whilst they sleep. The next day they would break camp and continue to make their way to the grove of cypress trees.
It was a scene that one would see in a painting or on the page of a book. Light pierced through the canopy more here than elsewhere, creating a rather scenic image of trees and animals in a sort of symbiotic harmony of nature. But soon that harmony would be intruded by those whose focus was one that surpassed the laws of nature.
Ustad had remembered to brings his saw with him but even with the right tools this would be a job that would most likely take a couple of days in order to get the wood that they needed. Home Sweet Home would activate as Ustad feeds Gaia’s Hospitality with his magoi, creating a 15m in all dimensions house made from trees and vines. It would begin to take root into the ground. Part of this was because they needed to replace what they take from nature with nature. But at was also due to rock that would slam into the wooden exterior of the home. This was something that was flung at them from one of the monkeys. The trouble had come to them rather quickly.
A group of 4 juvenile monkeys were ganging up on the two artists, who had to react quickly to these hostile actions taken against them. Josser the sculptor would pull out his wand casting second place creating a 4 by 4 meter, fist of solid earth that would slam into two of the monkeys, with the other two leaping out of the way.
Ustad the architect would move in to try to handle the other two but would find that they were focusing on him anyways. One in the front would attempt to punch the man but he would meat the punch with his own Hammer work that would be given more of a build up than usual The extra strength and momentum that was added into the hammer swing would overpower the animal, a cracking of bone was clear, followed by a scream from the monkey. The final beast would move to attack but find himself being hit by a amateurly thrown punch by Josser that would knock the beast out temporarily.
With this the short battle would be concluded and they would begin to work on gathering the wood that they have come here for in the first place. This would take them a couple of days to cut down a couple of trees and to make the logs ready for transport. But once they were done they would head back to the construction site to offload the wood.

- Joss the Sculptor:
Name: Josser ‘Joss’ Tabaaq
Tier: C Tier [Plot NPC]
Damage Required to Defeat: C Tier + Borg
Description: A former student at the Magnostadt academy, Joss dropped out because he had learnt everything he wanted. Proficient at Water magic and teaching himself Strength and Life magics, he went back home to Balbadd and set up a sculpting workshop in the capital’s outskirts. After years of sculpting, however, Joss decided to travel across the world - because why not! - and met Ustad and Dasom. He now wants to create and display a sculpture at the highest point of every country to showcase his work to everyone in the entire world!
Joss is quite the eccentric - surprise, surprise - and loves his sculptures more than anything else. If he sees some inspiration, he will often stop whatever he is doing and start sculpting at a moment’s notice! It might have been this trait that made his Magnostadt professors so frustrated. Joss has such a charming personality, however, that nobody can resist laughing at his jokes. This has been useful in his line of work, as he can easily talk a potential model into working for him without much hassle. Joss has a high opinion of himself as well, both in terms of skill and looks. While it is true that he is rather handsome, with well-kempt hair and a wicked smile, his taste in fashion is often outdated or bizarre. He has a love for the fez in particular, but will go hunting for new hats whenever he travels to another place for the first time.
