Julius sat across from Yurameshie, that had finished setting up their caping equipment. Like always the two of them would be ready to train their bodies as Julius climbed the ladder of his warrior ranks. He had come accustomed to using his blades, the one he got from Kina, the magical one he had come across, and now the magoi blade he had.  They all had the same fashion of use, they all had designs that were similar to each other besides his Magoi Blade.  The point was it did not matter which of the three blades he would use in combat, all three would serve him the same.

For these next few weeks, Yurameshie would have Julius practicing parries nonstop, much like when he was learning to swing a sword he had to do 1,000 parry strikes against Yurameshie.   After the Parry strikes, he had Julius practice his swings and drawing much like when he was new to the art. He would say things like the basics are the most important things a swordsman could learn and those who forgot them would be struck down.   After lunch and tea and planning of the future, they would then spar with wooden training swords to improve the instincts and pass on the knowledge from Yurameshie to Julius. After the two weeks of sword training, Julius had felt he had learned and mastered the two new strikes shown to him by Yurameshie. He was positive they would serve him well in the future.

The sparring season was brutal and painful even for the Lich like creature. There were many of lessons to be learned with each season of sword sparring. Often times Yurameshi had an answer for each strike Julius would attempt, or when he finally would parry a blow he would find the sword trainer would step and twirl out the way opening up the dark king to a side blow. This did not discourage the Dungeon beast in the least, however. In fact, it showed Julius Plageruis that while he was indeed a teacher of magic he was still a student of the blade. There would not be anything that would not be taught that he could not master and improve upon.

The Skeletal Lord would already have the gears of his mind working overtime, he knew if he relied on his magic he could easily best Yurameshi in a spar however, this would defeat the purpose of the training and cause his skills with the sword to falter and eventually be worthless and fail him when he needed them most. No instead Julius would bare the burden and put in the hard work so that his sword skills would become just as good as the skills of his magic. He could summon a Plague, a typhoon, huge and brutal spells that could level cities and change the ecosystem for months to years. His sword skills needed to be equal to that on the battlefield where a single sword swing could cut down a general or elite soldier and end the battle.

After all, that time of his sword skills improving Julius dawned on his sword, and he hovered from the ground. It was time to learn some new types of magic. There were two, in particular, he cared to learn next. Using his Flight Spell Julius hurled himself from the ground into the air, flying as fast as he could in this form he moved himself away from the camp and settled down on the ground about 40 meters later. Once he touched down Julius sat the sword in a sheath on the ground as he took a seat near it. His bones began to separate and shifted around. As they did so he focused his magoi throughout each and every bone of his body. A faint glow from his magoi began to cover them as he began to meditate. The purpose of this meditation was to grow his over all mana pool as he had done before in the past, but also it was to connect his magic seals through the rest of his bones much like he would have with a wand or staff from before. Not only did he intend for this training to extend the level of magic he could perform and increase his mana pools but he wanted his casting to be simple and first nature from any point of his body. Casting spells in a fashion such as this from multiple points of his body would be a solid way to conduct a fight.

Julius would focus on stretching and moving his mana or magoi through every fragment of his body, he visualized the magoi in an idea of a thread that connected and touched each bone. While in this mass hovering of bones Julius would draw out all the magoi he could manage for as long as he could. He would hold this for hours at first with ease then eventually it would become a draining event. When he felt he could go no more he would push on for another ten minutes before gathering himself in proper order before resting for a while gathering his magoi back.

There was really no other way for him to retore magoi like eating or sleeping. These things were no longer stuff that he did or needed to do. It was not all bad, nowadays he had the entire 24 hours to plan and train. He could double or triple his progress compared to others at his stage in the game. One thing was for certain if he had gone to the magician school and not self taught himself the ways of magic he would not be the all powerful and undying being that he was today. He would be some human in trashy robes trying to achieve new heights of magic while under the restriction of the Grand Master. It was better than he had gone to Kina, fought, and forged a team for a while which oddly put him and Lagi on the same path. This road lead him to meet Connie the contractor several times, once to gift him the Dark Metal vessel Known as Zoran, the second to award him with a Cursed Magical tool and unlock his true self so to speak.

That was enough remembering and rationalizing, for now, he had gathered a bit of his magoi back. He would repeat the process of removing his bones from one another and connecting them with that imaginary thread as he channeled his magoi through each structure of bone once more. He would repeat this exercise over and over again, going over formulas for new magic spells and combinations of spells. Different ways to use the skills he learned under Yurameshi combined with the ways of magic would further improve the destructive powers of both sides.

After the week of meditation, Julius gathered himself one final time before he headed back to the campsite. After having a friendly discussion with Yurameshi Julius picked up a pile of books that were based on the use of Light and Sound magics, their basic principles, and ways to start and use them in simple applications. The Mage opened one of them and began to read when he would get to the parts where the practical application would be used he would seat the book on the side of himself and use the flames of the fire to see the pages. Julius practice a simple spell of emitting a bit of light from one of his fingers. He focused the magoi at the tip of his left index finger, spoke the spell name, and watched as the flash of white light would emit. It was pretty straight forward at this point learning new magic. It was clear to him at an early stage that the spell name did not matter much, it was more intent and visualization rather. Still, he thought it was best to still start with the basics of each new magic type he would learn, however, to ensure that he was on the correct path of learning. Julius was not the type to skip steps, but when it would come to making his own spells he would push the limits of what he thought the could do. It took about a month for him to get the hang of the Light magic and finally be able to start conjuring up his own spells. He for some reason had more ideas about absorbing light than casting it in a pure offensive fashion. He spent another month studying Sound magic, however with this type of magic, he focused on attacks and silencing his steps. He had ideas of using these two together so he may sneak up on a target and slice them up or cast a spell in secret with one of his bones. There was a lot of application of both of these two magic types he had learned over the last two months.

It was time to return to his battles and finish what he started.
