Name: Yvain Truth
Country Affiliation: Sasan
Race: Magician
Tier: D
Class: Magician, Strength
Age + Birthdate: 17; 8/12
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Personality: Overall, Yvain is considered a serious person. She is pretty strict and holds most people to high standards, and tries to follow the rules and stick to the book as much as possible. Not necessarily the most fun person to be around, Yvain has a hard time finding the line between her work and her actual life, basically mixing the two together and striving towards her goal 24/7. As expected of a 17-year-old, Yvain is naive. She hates to admit this and tries her best to avoid situations where it shows, but those who know what they are doing can recognize this fairly quickly. It's not as big of a problem when it comes to her knightly duties, but in almost every aspect of her life outside of Sasan, it is clear that Yvain has no clue about anything.
Despite trying to be this independent and strong person, Yvain is the kind of person who needs to rely on others and is quite emotionally sensitive. Having an extroverted preference, being alone for long amounts of time tends to have a negative toll on her and only makes her yearn for interaction even more. Luckily, she doesn't have trouble meeting new people and is generally likable even if she is a tad unapproachable due to her serious demeanor.
Likes:
- Rain: To be clear, this is more about calm rain as opposed to storms. She finds the sounds of raindrops hitting the ground therapeutic and honestly doesn't mind getting a little bit wet when in the field.
- Swords: She's a weapon fanatic. Yvain is the type of girl to notice each notch and imperfection in a sword while also admiring the great qualities about them. Also commits to memory the names of blacksmiths that she meets, famous or not, purely out of admiration for the craft.
Dislikes:
- Broccoli: Something that has stuck with her since childhood. There's no rhyme or reason behind this dislike, she just doesn't like the food.
- Children: While she likes the idea of having kids eventually, having to deal with kids that are not hers aggravates her greatly.
Aspirations:
- Knight-King: The highest position in her homeland. Yvain had grown up looking up to the people that had filled this position, regardless of the name, and now as an adult, she wants to become the sort of person that children like her could look up to.
- Power: While Yvain isn't necessarily a megalomaniac, she does always pursue a higher level of power to push her limits. There's no reason for this besides the fact that she wants to do it for herself, and recognizes that it is a selfish desire.
Phobias/fears:
- Xenophobia: When you raise a child inside of the walls of their city, telling them that everyone on the outside is evil, dirty, lesser, it is only natural that Yvain would develop this trait. It's not hate but more of an intolerance for those that not from Sasan. There ends up being a clear bias and distaste whenever Yvain has to interact with outsiders. The only
- Dungeon Beasts: Yvain's xenophobia cranked up to 12. She doesn't care if they were once people, they're monsters now, and hideous ones at that. The knight just can't wrap her head around how such disgusting phenomena can exist in the same world as she, in the same world her God created.
Face-Claim: Katalina, Granblue Fantasy
Hair Color: Dirty Blonde
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 130 lbs
Appearance: Though she is young, Yvain has quite a mature appearance when you look at her peers. Not only being taller than average for both men and women, Yvain likes to carry herself in a more mature manner as well, so it isn’t uncommon for people to think she’s older than she actually is. One of her most notable features is her long, flowing blonde hair. Though not one that cares much for appearance, being that she walks around in a full suit of armor, her hair is surprisingly kept. It also pairs well with her eyes, brown in color, though it makes wearing helmets a pain in the ass since there’s so much of it.
Rukh Alignment: White
Special Features: When using magic, Yvain's eyes change color to match the typing. In the situation of combination magic, either eye takes one color. If there are more than two magics in the combination then her eyes are grey.
History: Even though she was born blessed by the rukh, knight’s blood has always flowed through her veins.
Born as the eldest daughter in the Truth family, both of her parents were successful knights in the Susan military so it was natural that they expected this from Yvain as well. However early on into Yvain’s life, they realized that she was a bit special compared to the rest of the family, but that wasn’t until much later. Until that point, Yvain had lived a great childhood. As both of her parents were in the military, it was often that she spent time with her maid and her au pair from Magnostadt, a recently graduated magician. With these two, Yvain would get into a whole bunch of antics that would end up with her getting in trouble but enjoying these times regardless. There would often be situations where Yvain would be out of the house and come across her mother or father when they’re at work, and Yvain would get the chance to watch them do amazing things. These instances would eventually seal the deal with Yvain’s career choice: Knight.
Or so it would have if it weren’t for some special circumstances. Not too long before she would have joined the Knights of Sasan, it came to light that Yvain had the ability to cast magic and see Rukh. This made what was an easy choice much more difficult as Yvain now had multiple options laid in front of her: becoming a knight like her parents, pursue a profession in magic, leave the city to go study what it meant to be a magician, or choose to do nothing. Ultimately, Yvain was convinced by her father to pursue a mixture of the first and second options. Obviously, there was bias in the decision but she didn’t mind having someone decide for her.
Since then, she’s combined both her magical capabilities and her swordplay though it feels off to her. It’s clear that she wasn’t as capable as some of her younger siblings or even her fellow colleagues, but Yvain persevered. However, in the back of her mind, she always wondered what it would be like if she were to try to focus on one or the other instead of both, but doing so now would leave her swordsmanship or magic unfinished and incomplete.

(Not character related)
The time for action was now! Or... something. Ky'rin wasn't exactly sure what was happening but knew that it had to be there since it was asked to. Well, it was more so take to be there, Iota had some sort of plan that was way too complicated for Ky'rin large yet small brain to comprehend. Politics were complicated and something that Ky'rin wasn't into even in the slightest, it just did what it was asked and returned in one piece. Today was different though, it could tell that it wasn't like any other job just by the way that Iota spoke about it. Called it Operation Kurtz, based on a form of literature that Iota had read long ago. Never explained why though, the reason for the name and all.
Anyways, the portal that Ky'rin was supplied with was a moderate distance away from the commotion. Far enough that nobody would notice but close enough that it could walk, and walk it did. It took roughly an hour for it to get to its destination, but during that time Ky'rin took in the surroundings. The sounds of war could be heard, though who exactly was fighting, Ky'rin did not know. The area from its drop-off point to its destination was absolutely devastated by these battles, leaving debris and destroyed buildings as it walked. Occasionally it would come across other forms of life, but they chose to not interact with Ky'rin, which was a good choice, to be honest. Something akin to fear and realization had started to settle in, not that it affected any of Ky'rin actions or thought process at the moment, but was important to know that it was there. Being in such a wartorn and foreign place had started to take a minor toll on it. But it had no choice but to go forward. Iota trusted it with a task so it will see it through to the end.
Or so Ky'rin thought until another mortal had entered the scene. This one was... notable. Not for its name, reputation, or action, but purely by appearance. So far, this masked creature was an enigma to Ky'rin. Were they of the same breed as Ky'rin or another abomination native to this world? What were their intentions? What was up with the bone-like material it was covered in. And why would Ky'rin be afraid? Should it be? Many questions started to rack the mind of the Lord of Thought, though none seemed to come with easy answers.
In any case, from where the elder god was standing, it could see both this new white mortal and a group of... humans? They appeared to be humans but Ky'rin couldn't exactly tell from where it stood. They looked to be preparing for something, so Ky'rin figured it should prepare too.
It then began to just stand there, doing nothing. Stiff like a statue, any passerby would assume it was dead.
