Personality: Like many Magicians, Kuro is a philosopher who likes to ponder on the aspects of life. Whether it be spiritual, physical, or even about the sky there will always something for Kuro to think about. Because of this, he is always open minded and would value other peoples opinion. Despite his calm reserve he is a bit hostile towards Goi due to his experiences with them in the past. There will be times where he see Gois as nothing more as disgusting monsters ridden in greed and lust for conquest. To other Magicians and Fanalis he is much more warm towards them. Because of an event in his past he is a bit hard to show affection towards other women, mostly Fanalis. He does not tend to express his feelings nor trust others easily. However there are times when he begins to crack and start having a mental breakdown.
In battle he tends to stay back in the sidelines and use his life magic to create creatures to do the fighting for him. If the situation demands it, Kuro is able to fight close combat with his staff but not to a great extent since he is a magician not a warrior.
Likes:
Magic - Kuro views Magic as a wonderful thing, for he could see it bringing many things to the world. When he came to Magnostadt he was amazed at how much there is to learn.
Learning - As the greatest desire of Magicians it is not a surprise that Kuro would like to learn. Due to his skill in Life Magic he took interest on learning to animate lifeless matter. As well to learn about the world he lives in.
Reading: Readling lets Kuro to wander too far away places.
Dislikes:
Goi - Kuro would rarely trust let alone standing in the same room as the Goi without letting out a racist remark. His veiws on Gois gotten so low to the point where he would use them as live test subject.
Slavery - Seeing races such as Magicians, Falalis, and other non Gois being completely submissive towards Gois makes his blood boil, for he can not comprehend seeing a pathetic goi taming an superior race.
Mistreatment of Magicians and Fanalis - With the fact that Magicians are spat upon and Fanalis hunted to near extinction clear in his mind, Kuro can not stand mistreatment of any kind especially from the Gois.
Phobias:
Death - He knew that when he fell from grace that he might never see his lover again, never ever being able to see her smile and hear her sweet laughter. The thought made Kuro terrified at the aspect of never seeing her again and became a bit angry towards himself since he knew this was partiually his fault. What's worse is that if he die before he complete his goals, his depravity would have been all for nothing. This led to numeros self doubts about his abilities to achieve his goals.
Aspirations:
The Resurrection of the Red Lions - When Kuro traveled to escape his greif he came across an anceint temple in the Plains where is help very old tomes, in one of the scripts it talks briefly about red lions from a forgotten world. After a few months of intense researching and studying he learned that the Red Lions and the Fanalis have a connection to one another. This led Kuro to research on how to bring the Red Lions back to this world in hopes that it may somehow bring the Fanalis more power.
To Bring an Era of Magic and Fanalis - His dream is to create a perfect peaceful world where magicians and Fanalis alike are treated as equals. Since he does not want to sink to the Gois level he would let them have some form of freedom.
Become Pure Again: After an attempt to resurrect a living person he began to see what he has done and became horrified of himself. Disgusted for creating a mockery of the Fanalis it became clear to him that this is not the right way. So he strives to find a way to purify himself before he creates too many abominations.

Appearance: Kuro is a fairly tall magician with blue black long hair. He is frequently seen dressed in black monks' robes and a conic straw hat topped by a diamond shape. He wears a white scarf around his neck and an olive-colored kesa fastened by a ring over his robes. He has a lean frame, somewhat underweight compared to his age group. Scars from a whip can be seen scattered on his back. His skin is a bit tan from his days in the Balbadd sun. The effect of the black rukh an be seen on his body, a shroud of sorrow seem to surround him and his blue eyes seem to be like that of the murky depths of the Imuchakk sea.
History: Kuro D'ykh was born into a shady part of Magnostadt, both of his parents having been involved in questionable research. Because this, people were a bit wary of Kuro, thinking that his parents bad reputation was influencing them. But in reality Kuro did not see much of his parents for they were mostly holed up in the basement doing “things”. Because this Kuro relied on going to the local library for education, however this became fruitless due to starvation that strikes him daily as if his parents forgotten they had a son. Because this negligence Kuro started to live in the alleyways instead of living in a run down building with weird smells coming from the basement
However faith seemed to have other plans for young Kuro. Apparently his parents sold him to slavery in a deal so they could get there hands some rare "items". His owner dragged him away from his homeland to the country of Balbadd so he can use Kuro magic to catch some fish since Balbadd is known for its large fishing industry. He would have suffered many years if he had not met a beautiful Fanalis that he was partner with to catch fish. Over the years they develop a strong bond and took a liking in each other cultures. Both wanting to flee they manage to overpower their owners and managed to flee the city. Knowing that they both need world knowledge so she can go to her homeland they decided to go to Magnostadt. Because of the entrance Kuro taught his lover how to control Magoi so that she can pass the gate. In a stroke of luck they both manage to enter the city.
Much like the world nothing ever goes to plan for a mere minute later Magnostadt was attacked by the Zou Empire. That is when it all went straight to hell, being force to fend off the invaders they both fought on the front lines. It all seemed to be going fine till Kuro's lover fell in battle, in a moment of pure rage he fell from grace as he created vile, unholy abominations from the corpse of the invaders.
He managed to live from the battle, but not without a few scars. Tired of seeing the fate of all Fanalis he became bent of bringing them back. So in the months that follow he threw himself in intense studying until the event in November made him realize what he has done. Withdrawn in a shroud of sorrow, he lived his days studying while trying to find another way of bringing Fanalis power.
Role-Play Sample:
It was on a dreary night of November that I beheld the accomplishment of my toils. Exhaustion that mounted to agony, I held my staff above the lifeless body that laid before me. An purple aura encased my staff as black Rukhs fluttered over the lifeless thing. It was in the eerie purple light that I saw the dull amber eye of the creature open; it breathed hard, and a convulsive motion agitated its limbs.
Oh by the great flow how can I describe my emotions at this catastrophe, or how beautiful the beast whom with such endless days of trying to form. Her slender, but firm limbs were in proportion with each other. I had match its features to that of an Fanalis. Oh great flow, her grey skin scarcely covered the work of muscles beneath and her dull crimson hair flowed down her back like an great waterfall. But alas these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with her watery eyes, that seemed almost of the same colour as the dun white sockets in which they were set. As I stated into her eyes I found something that gripped my heart in frozen terror.
Nothingness.
It was well thought that the eyes where the windows in the soul, so when he looked into her eyes he did not see the primal beast within nor the fires of passion. Even her hair did not carry the vivid colors that Fanalis bore. I gave spent many months trying to bring back the Fanalis, so that they may bring joy into the world and a new era. But now that I had finished, the beauty of the dream vanished, and breathless horror and disgust filled my heart. I've stopped the flow of magic and threw my staff to the floor, I grasp my head and let out a wail of despair. Black Rukh swirled around me like moths to a candle.
