Miracle Overture Prelude II: The Beast Smells Food

The birds were chirping yet again, and Summer was providing more sunlight than usual and lighting up the village. Trently and the guild had got the construction of the Guild Hall complete, being able to now open the guild officially! It was the day of opening and the men gathered around and helped advertise to the village and trade route of their cheap prices for assistance. Trently and his men had to start with an affordable and easy cost of hiring if they sought to gain customers and business. Once they were more reputable, they would be able to slightly up the price for a better profit. It was the beginning of the guild, and they had no official name but would go by the temporary alias of "The Jade Valley Guild". A name even if temporary was better than no name. Later they can rebrand their guild if they came up with a more suitable name. In the area of the guild, members would begin construction of their very own settlements or houses. Some opted to be vagabonds in the guild and travel where they must for work. This was quite good for the guild if they wanted to expand. The opening of Trently's guild was a very relaxed one but none the less exciting, with a couple of village people coming and offering jobs to tack onto the guild job board. A pair of traders working for a trading company would offer some jobs too! They needed strong people to help them through monster or bandit dense paths. Some of the guild members would already have jobs to do and help out with only hours after the opening. It was all going pretty good for the guild. Trently still had work to do however in terms of reputation building. He would need to help the village construct more houses and structures if he wanted the guild gain a good social standing with the village's people. More houses and settlements meant further income for the existing businesses of the village if others decided to move here. These houses can also be sold at a low rate to some of the village people to be sold later for profit.

Begining the new build project two days after the guild's opening, the guild members with no jobs to do were to start work on new houses for the village. Trently would pay the construction team with huang once they are done. He had to feed his men and pay them of course. Guawei were to assist a local trading company with traveling meanwhile everything, and so Trently would be the one making a lot of the orders. The guild members Trenty led were quite the rowdy bunch, but pretty fun. Trently had begun to befriend a lot of them. They had appeared to be very supportive of Trently, with some being scared and just following orders. Perhaps nobody wants to mess with him since the last people who tried were killed. Trently was scratching his head and laughing awkwardly at the men who were frightened to death by him. The sun begun to set today, and the village people were to begin to call it a night. Trently had his men keep working a little more until nightfall. They worked tirelessly, and pushed on building with whatever light was not gone. Trently helped his men get some of the work done on the houses, but mostly oversaw the construction. Once night came however and the light faded away, he were to let his men off to return to the nearby camp they had set up. Meanwhile, Trently went to the Guild Hall to see if any job offerings were posted to the job board today that he himself could take. "I've returned! Are there any new job postings?" He walked into the guild hall and told the stationed guild members there of his return. A warm smile on his face, he waved at some of the guild there. They had news for Trently. First, some of the village people have stop by give the guild some food supplies out of the kidness of their heart. Trently took this as not just good news, but great. It was amazing how kind hearted the village is. Trently will give half of the food supplies to the construction team and the rest for other guild members. Second, a job has been posted on the job board asking for help in the time of famine, with the job location being a couple miles from here in the deep mountains. Upon hearing this news, Trently were to change his mind on distributing the rest of the food supplies to the other guild members but instead, give it to the people in need of it more. There should be enough to give half to the guild camp however, so he were to distribute half to them. With two other guild members, Trently would haul the food supplies to the guild camp to give out rations to the dozen members there. Trently ate with the guild camp but remained pretty stoic, as he felt a need of urgency to go deliver some food rations to the famine struck village over in the mountains. He would decide to take the job and depart in the morning tomorrow with the food rations. Trently was a bit worried, and this was very visible to the others in his guild. They did not know what he was worried about however.

His hands crossed and elbows resting upon his knees, Trently chewed his food as he stared on into deep thought. Perhaps he should depart tonight, Trently wondered. If the village was hungry and starving, he may have to go as soon as he can. The other men talking to each other and leaving Trently alone to his own thought, Trently were to have decided what to do. He will venture out tonight to the famine stricken village after he is done eating and takes a quick pee break in the forest. Taking the last bite of his food he was eating, he got up and went to go piss then set out. However, he first had to assign somebody to look over the guild meanwhile Trently is gone. Guawei being gone for a little bit, he were to choose the next best person which was his fiance who was a strong and smart woman who could lead the guild for now. She had been a large help with build projects and even picked up a bit on what the architect and Trently were doing. For some reason she opted to remain with the former bandits rather than with her mother in the village, likely cause she was like the big sister of the guild for the men. Anyhow, she would be left to lead the guild for now. Going into the forest to pee really quick before he sets out, he were to hear grunting noises from someplace nearby. Having to pee very badly, Trently just begun urinating and hoped no beast appeared out from the bushes. Then.. a beast would appear out from the bushes! However, it had come running out completely ignoring Trently! It raced past him actually and rammed its head through the wood fortified camp, crashing into the guild camp! What the hell!? Is it after the food!? Did it smell the food from all the way in the forest!? Finishing his pee break, Trently sprinted back into the camp with haste. Racing quickly into the camp, Trently began looking around for the boar. Drawing his katana to kill it, he were to see it tearing through tents and trying to get to the food. The boar noticing Trently, it picked up a skinny guild member with its large tusks and would throw the man at Trently! Catching the flying man with his titanium hand as he step to the side and dodged, Trently laid him down, then continued his chase after the boar. Running behind a large tent, the boar would attempt to strike Trently when he turned the corner to go behind the tent. Pursuing the wild boar behind the big tent, Trent were to be attacked. It were to try and ram it's tusks into Trently's torso, sprinting at him as fast a horse! Channeling magoi into his katana, Trently slashed at the monster pig and would cut its back with an airslash of razor magic. The boar falling victim to the young man's magic katana, it would fall to the ground before it could reach Trently and succumb to its wounds. It seems Trently and the guild got some pork tonight! Trently were to inspect the wild boar's meat and remains for any diseases and would deduce it was safe to eat. That very same night, Trently would cut the boar open and roast it over an open fire with the guild. He would plan to give some of the meat to the starving village miles west of here along with some food rations tomorrow morning.
