Name: Dion 'Midas' Hermes
Country Affiliation: Reim
Race: Halfling [Human-Magician Hybrid. Human dominant.]
Tier: D
Class: 'Assassin'
Age + Birthdate: 29 2/9
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Demisexual
Personality: Dion's natural state is one of artistry, other than that everything is fair game. The one thing one can say is he actively and purposefully tries to change his behavior. To experience all that part life has to offer, and to walk a mile in the shoes of others, he will range from full blown introversion, to a charismatic charmer, and anywhere in between. He will take the time to analyze a months worth of plans down to the second, but he will also spend a week living completly by his impulse, and trying out different motivations. One of the few things he does struggle with is being dumb, but he can definitely seem like an idiot when he doesn't take a chance to think his actions through and takes a few drinks to inebriate himself.
While his main goal is to be the world's greatest writer, he tries to come up with smaller goals and motivations for his plays characters and then tries to live them out, so while he isn't actually crazy, one might believe he has multiple personality syndrome if they catch him on the wrong days, but with the way he dresses, they might not even recognize it as him.
Likes: Care-giving. Dion naturally enjoys taking care of others, the more help they need, the more he tries to be there for them.
Cross-dressing. Nothing wrong with a little make up and push-up bra full of tissue. A fascination after he had to fill some female roles in his yester-years.
Dislikes: Losing. As he likes to avoid confrontation as much as possible, he's not quite used to losing, even if it's just a simple game.
The Colosseum. The main competitor to his plays, he doesn't quite see the appeal.
Aspirations: To become the world's greatest playwright. Dion is one of the greatest writers of his time, but he wants to leave his mark on the world. He's doing the best he can to revolutionize the worlds opinion on theater. Dion wants theatre to be able to replace the Colosseum, not just in Reim, but all over the world. He has been thinking of exploring the avenues of his own experience to be able to come up with better stories as well as hiring the right people to get himself in the right direction.
Phobias/fears: Death. Dion's nonconfrontational nature and upbringing has lead him to abhor violence, but even worse than that, Dion fears death. Being pulled away from people, permanently. Slavery, abuse and violence, those are just problems that need a solution. But even magic offers no solution to the question of death. Once you die, nothing can save you. He still misses the people he has lost to the grim reaper, and he always curses his losses fears even his own death.
Face-Claim: Shiroe - Log Horizon
Hair Color: Midnight Blue
Eye Color: Amber
Height: 191 cm
Weight: 91 kg
Appearance: Dion is a middle-aged, slender gentleman. He has some skill in tailor and loves to wear all sorts of clothing, including females clothing. Dion can change his appearance to look like anyone. He is willing to donate a fat suit, and all sorts of hand crafted make up to give himself different contours of his skin or dye his hair or even add extensions or wear a bald cap. There only seem to be two things, that don't change on Dion's person. His coal black eyes, and the fact that he always carries a thick leather couch on his waist.
Rukh Alignment: White
Special Features: His poop is gold in color. Not actually gold.
History: Dion was born to older parents, therefore he lead a more interesting lifestyle with less need. He had come to learn about his parents. His father was older. In his 50s, he was a writer, but in his youth he was a great fighter of the Coliseum. Skilled with a sword and shield, he was at the top of his game until one day he got a life threatening injury. One of his fans, who had some knowledge of healing had taken care of him after the match and after a few days, that younger fan concieved Dion. Dions mother nursed her husband and was a great care taker, even while maintaining the pregnancy. But his father would never recover. The best he could do was hobble with a cane, and that was thanks to his wife's treatements and his great athleticism.
But his father was still charming with a great life story. He wanted to tell people his story, but now being older, people didn't quite see him the same. So he wanted to give his story to someone who could give it the right face, immortalize his actions. And his nursing wife had told him about acting and plays. She was the woman who taught him the written language. He inspired a play wright. Dion's father would sit at a table and write about his fights and about his life as a child and even about the story of his wife and the family growing up and the time he spent with Dion. He wrote about his regrets and his fear of dying.
These stories filled Dion's mind and he was fascinated by the fantasy of it all. As a child he believed it to be real and as he grew, he learned the 'shocking' truth. While at first, he rebelled against the lies of his father, when his father passed, he realized how truly amazing the stories we're even if they were just fantasy, how they let you relive a moment of your past or allow you to empathize with something you had never experience before, and what he learned was how to connect with others through words. He didn't quite know all the details of his mother's, but apparently, the only memento was from his father besides his works, was a walking stick, formerly belonging to his mother.
