• [ Social Butterfly ]
  Amatus is something of an extrovert and social butterfly; he often mingles himself into crowds and he enjoys being the center of attention. By using a likeable front, asserting himself into the situation, and making himself over the crowd, Amatus is a memorable person with a loud soul.
  
• [ Arrogance ]
  Amatus knows that he’s something, and he makes sure that others know it too. While he won’t shove it straight into someone’s face since he knows how rude it is, there’s always a certain air of conceit and swagger that the Halfling carries about him. It worsens during battles, in which he enjoys to show himself off and taunt his opponents.

  Amatus’ aunt, Carina, was sure to hammer in good manners and politeness into the boy. Even without her, Amatus exerts a general air of pleasantness, and he’s always certain to act polite even if he doesn’t feel like it. You attract flies with honey, not vinegar, after all.

  While Amatus isn’t outright apathetic to the woes of the world, he doesn’t openly worry about others and their problems. He has his own stuff he has to wade through, and in his own words, “he doesn’t have the time to give a crap”. While this obviously doesn’t extend to his actual friends, it’s hard to actually squeeze concern out of him for others.

  Once someone has become an actual friend of Amatus, they stay that way in the man’s heart. They earn his respect, his trust, and his loyalty. Despite his rather questionable morals, a friend of the Halfling can be reassured that their back will be covered no matter the situation.
  
• [ Self-Indulgence ]
  It’s hard for Amatus to say no to something he wants, be it food, alcohol, a good time, or to just satisfy his own selfish curiosity. He enjoys activities that he really shouldn’t, but he can’t help but reward himself. It goes hand in hand with his hubris and confidence, and it’s something that probably won’t change about the man for some time. He tries not to show it a lot, but he can be licentiousness when he selfishly pursues his desires.

  While he isn’t an outright tank, and like everyone Amatus can be knocked down, but it’s just less frequent. He’s strong of mind and heart, and he doesn’t take much to heart. He’s capable of facing hardship with optimism and courage.

  While Amatus certainly keeps a lid on how lewd and he acts around others, it’s definitely under all of his swagger and confidence. He can be rather indecent when he lets himself, and when the straps come off he can be rather lewd and salacious.
  

Amatus is a man who seeks pleasure in life, be it through alcohol, fighting, partying, sex, and whatever else comes to mind. He doesn’t care much for how others see him as long as he stays popular. He doesn’t have a big group of friends and instead skates around other cliques, which is more than fine for the man. And despite his rather questionable morality, anyone who manages to actually befriend Amatus all says that he’s a loyal person. He sticks through his companion through thick and thin, and he isn’t one to run away. He’s a strong person in mind, heart, and soul, it’s just that he just lets himself lavish himself way too much.
When it comes to his surroundings, Amatus always walks with a sense of swagger. He treats himself as if he’s something important, but he’s careful to not overdo it and come off as too arrogant. He keeps an eye on how people react to him since his popularity is a careful subject to the Halfling.
While Amatus doesn’t treat others as if he’s some sort of king and that they’re his peasants, he still acts as if he’s a tad better than them. Though he makes sure to act humorously when he does, and Amatus is always on the watch to ensure that he’s meeting at least a somewhat positive crowd.

Appearance:
Amatus is a man of rather tall stature, and he has quite the muscular body that he likes to show off. Like the rest of his race, Amatus has the long and unique Fanalis eyelashes and red eyes. However, they're somewhat mismatched. One eye is a darker shade of red while the other is much lighter in color.  Unlike other Fanalis, Amatus has pink hair that’s long enough to nearly reach his hips. Amatus usually keeps his hair tied back in a ponytail, with a small braid woven into the tail along with a bang-like fringe that covers a part of the left side of his face. Many people describe him as handsome due to his well-sculptured body and the care he puts into his appearance.
If one were to undress Amatus, they would find soft skin, marred only by faint scars along with a black-inked tattoo. The tattoo is of a profile view of a butterfly, with language-like markings, an eye and a skull within the tattoo of the butterfly. The tattoo is on his left pectoral, heading up his neck and facing his midsection.

As for clothes, he mostly wears attire that matches a gladiator of Reim, along with some hints of his mother’s homeland. Amatus wears the regular Reim armor of a steel cuirass protecting his torso, shoulder plates, a metal skirt, gold ankle cuffs, and geta-esq sandals. He also wears a white obi-like sash, and a trio of blue beads: two worn around his neck and the other wrapped around his left hand. Like other Fanalis, Amatus has a silver-stud piercing under his lower lip, and he has a single, peach-colored tassel earring on his left ear that’s hidden by his hair.
When it comes to his body language, Amatus almost always carries himself with a sense of swagger and confidence. It’s easy to tell that he’s proud of himself, and there’s an air of humor around him. While one can say that he walks with a certain arrogance with him, others say that Amatus is a clear extrovert who likes to exert himself into whatever situation he’s in.

Role-Play Sample:
Jingyi jumped back, narrowly avoiding the slash of a long sword, her feet skidding across the wet grass. Her knuckles turned white as the warrior tightened her grip on her sword, her usually friendly eyes narrowed in caution as she eyed the jeering bandit in front of her.

"What's wrong, sweetie? Do you actually know how to use that sword or is it just a pretty decoration?" The man taunted, a malicious smirk on his face as Jinyi felt her face redden. Deciding that she wouldn't dignify him with an answer, she simply lunged forwards, her sword extending in a quick jab at his torso. Her opponent just managed to nimbly jump backward as he raised his own weapon, continuing to shout insults at her.

The woman simply shook her head, clearing her head of the words before raising her sword once more.  She practiced her skills for so long; she already could taste her first milestone of her mission and she wasn't about to let some thief snatch it out of her hands. With a grunt, she sidestepped another slash sent her way before bringing her own sword down in a downward arc. Jinyi didn't stop when she heard a cry of pain, but instead continued. She quickly brought her sword up, knocking aside a weak jab before kicking her leg out and knocking the bandit down.

The man easily toppled over with a grunt, and Jinyi watched quietly as he hissed quietly to himself. After she caught her breath, the woman swung her sword in front of the bandit's face, causing him to grow pale as he stared down the cool metal. "I'll give you this one chance to run away, alright?"
