A Quick Stroll [Social/Endolf]

A lot of things had been happening around Noir ever since she visited Heliohapt, she met new person, entering dungeon and inside her... was something that became stronger for each day. She wandering in the street helplessly, giving out a blank stares as if she didn't know what to do and had no will to do anything. Her body felt tired and it was a bad idea to take a morning stroll in this hot country apparently, she seriously need to go to somewhere where she could take a short rest at. Luckily for her, there was some tall tree that she could use as a resting place right under it.

Haku noticed his master's condition and tried to stay by her side to share his temperature as he was cooling himself off, worrying that his master might get heatstroke if she didn't get something to cool her up a little bit more. Seeing how her liger was being very caring towards her, the black haired girl motioned Haku to come with her to sit under the tree and protect themselves from the sun's ray for a while. Then she would pet the beast's head gently, making he slowly succumbed into a deep slumber.

The events of the recent dungeon weighed heavily on Endolf’s mind as the redhead wondered around Heliohapt. It had proven to be an interesting experience and sparked a lot of personal growth. It seemed as if he had wondered into a much more open part of the city, possibly just along the outskirts, as the buildings and shade seemed to become scarcer and scarcer with even a shady tree seeming to be a rare find. The difference between the parts of the city was like night and day and honestly he found it amazing. Under one of the few trees he could see End managed to spot a large fuzzy creature curled up at the base of the trunk.

Along with the animal there seemed to be a person. Approaching the two without making any threatening motions he was able to see that it was a woman with ebony hair. She seemed to be sleeping, curled up on a rather large cat like creature as if it were some kind of pillow. Trying not to make any sudden movements or startle either the woman or her feline companion End would approach her and gently shake her shoulder. “Hey. I don’t know who you are but it isn’t a great idea to fall asleep this far out from the shade.”

Haku reacted to the presence that seemingly closer to them with every step that this person took, he opened his crimson orbs and stared at the red haired man carefully. The white furred beast couldn’t feel any kind of bad intention from his movement and he seemed approaching them with a worried look. The beast couldn’t move because Noir was right beside him, any movement made by him would wake the black haired girl from her rest and that would make her feeling worse under this bright sun. The moment that redhead touched the black haired girl’s shoulder, Haku would attempt to growl but Noir would grab the man’s hand weakly and stared at him with a pale face. She needed a moment to understand the words that this man said to her before she released his hand and nodded at him, “I apologize… I just don’t feel well because of the heat and was taking rest here.”

Haku would then stand up before growling at Noir softly, nudging her to tell her that he was ready to be mounted so they could head to a better place to get some rest. The black haired girl would then try to stand up even though her legs felt weak so she could sit on Haku. “Thank you for warning us…” She said while climbing Haku and bowed her head to the redhead then stared at him, seemed fascinated by Fanalis, something that she always feel when she looked at them.

The girl would move, reaching to grab Endolf by the wrist when he touched her shoulder. Her grip was weak, a sign she was suffering from the effects of the hot desert heat and the lack of shade from being so far away from the buildings and other ways of keeping cool, her face seemed pale as well. Further watching her, processing the tells she was exhibiting, he could tell that the heat was affecting her thought process as well as it seemed to take her a moment or two to understand what he had warned her about. But it seemed that she managed to process his words as she released his wrist with a nod.

The girl then explained that she didn’t feel well due to the heat and felt that she needed a rest, apologizing for it. His attention would turn to the feline at her side that began to rise to its feet while nudging her side. An indication that it was ready for her to move along with it perhaps? Though Endolf wasn’t any beast tamer so he wasn’t able to be entirely certain. At least until the woman struggled to get to her feet and mount the creature’s back. She thanked End for warning them, her voice still sounding as weak as she appeared to the Fanalis, and bowed her head to him before focusing her eyes on him. It was honestly slightly disturbing to be focused on like that but the boy wasn’t going to shy away from it.

“Hey, wait a minute.” He would hold his left hand up, pointing his palm at them to signal that they don’t leave just yet. Instead of speaking again however he would turn his hand so that his palm was flat and facing up. The magic seal in the center of his golden gauntlet’s palm began to glow in that soft, oceanic blue way that seemed to resemble the way light would filter through gentle currents. At the cost of some of his own stamina he would produce a small orb of water large enough to extend out over the edges of his hand that hovered above his palm. He would then hold his Barrier Wave out to the woman. “Have a quick drink. Your pet too. You won’t make it back to the main city on your own the way you are. Even less if you don’t drink a little.”

Barrier Wave:

Noir’s body tensed up the moment she saw the magic seal on the gauntlet that this red haired man’s wore, she was not in a god condition to fight at the moment. Being disoriented might made her couldn’t control her strength and if she clashed, she might ended up killing this Fanalis, which she didn’t want to happen. However it turned out that this Fanalis was just offering a help by forming a small orb of water with it before giving it to her and her beast. She was surprised but then was feeling amused by the unexpected act of this stranger, despite of her dizziness, she gave the Fanalis a small laugh while touching her forehead with her palm. “Haku, it is okay, you can drink it.” Noir would scoop the small orb with both of her hand before giving it to her beast so he can at least feel refreshed. “Thank you for your help, you are very kind…” After she said that, Noir would then take the wand from the sheathe before moving it around a little bit to produce a small orb of water and floating it to her lips. She would make another orb and controlled it so it would fly towards the redhead before saying, “Here you go, you need to drink as well. I apologize for making you use your magic item to produce water while I can naturally produce it by using the help of the rukh.”

Haku would move forward to being himself closer to the man so he could sniff him and confirmed that he didn’t has this smell of having bad intention towards them before giving him a soft growl of acceptance. “Hmm…? Do you like him...?” Noir looked down and pet her liger lovingly before staring back at the Fanalis with a gentle gaze.

Endolf listened to the two, the girl more than the cat for obvious reasons, with the girl chuckling while holding her hand once the orb of water appeared floating above the redhead’s palm. The girl would go on to tell Haku, no doubt her large cat, that it was alright to drink the water. He watched the raven haired girl scoop the water from his palm with both hands, the magic seal growing dim before dying altogether and whatever water was left splashing down against the hot sands at their feet and drying up almost instantly, and offer it to the beast. She would thank Endolf and call him kind. It was clear she wouldn’t notice the heavy sadness in his eyes and what seemed to be weight on his shoulders at her compliment, something that only made him remember some of the things he had done back in Reim in order to cope with his own problems.

In his moment of mental darkness he would fail to notice that she pulled out something akin to a stick from somewhere on her person and gave it a brief wave. A small orb of water appeared in the air before floating towards her own mouth. Watching the trick Endolf had to wonder why she didn’t do it to begin with but his thoughts would be cut off as the girl produced another orb of water with the same motion with her hand. However this one would would fly off towards the Fanalis’ face. The girl would tell him to drink as well and apologize for making him use his magic tool as he did. The next part of what she said would confuse the boy as she mentioned being able to use something called “Rukh” to make water freely herself.

Before he could question this word Haku would move closer to him and sniff him. The girl on his back must have understood what his growl that followed meant because she made a comment to the cat about liking Endolf. She would then pet the large beast before turning to face the boy with a gentle enough gaze. “I’m glad your pet likes me, but I’ve got to ask a couple of questions. What’s your name, and what is “Rukh”?” As he would ask her these things he would tenatively poke the floating ball of water by his head, not hard enough to pop it but mearly in a questioning manner. He would take it in his hands and bring the liquid to his lips, drinking it in before the desert sun could evaporate it on him and force the girl to have wasted whatever she used to made it appear on nothing.

Wiping away whatever trickles surrounded his mouth he would speak up one more time. "We should get back to the city first before we get any deeper into our conversation. Otherwise this whole "saving your life" thing might have been for nothing."

Magoi/Stamina: 194/214

The female magician would wait for the Fanalis to drink the water orb that she gave to him. It was simply an act to respect the man as he drink the water and wasted nothing by stayed silent while she was thinking about how to answer his question. It is easier if he could see the white rukh fluttering around her or those black colored rukh that was fluttering around him, but so far from the information and knowledge that she got, Fanalis couldn’t see them. She wanted her question to be informative for the man as it would be a valuable knowledge that he could learn from someone who got the information from the actual rukh learning class in the city of magician itself. Just when she wanted to answer his question, she would see the red haired man wanted to say something again. He seemed satisfied to had a refreshing water flowing down through his throat and that pleased Noir as well when he wiped all the remaining drip from his lips.

She would listen to what he had to say first before nodding at him, knowing that she needed some more rest and of course the area that they were in at the moment clearly was not a good place. “I understand…” She would mount Haku and pet him before telling him to start walking but decided to stop a little bit to look at the Fanalis. “You can mount Haku, it will be faster…” She said before maneuvering her body to give some space so the redhead could sit in front of her. If he agreed to mount Haku, the liger would start to decrease his body temperature and the man could feel that the beast’s body becoming colder as he started to run in an amazing speed right after Noir advised him to not speak or he would bite his own tongue.

Once they arrived at the city where they could at least protect themselves under the shades, Noir would begin to answer his question. “I am Noir, he is Haku. It is a pleasure to meet you and we are thankful for your help from earlier.” She would bow to the redhead after she climbed down from her beast before continuing, “Rukh is like the power source of everything made from nature, like trees, water, fire...us. However there are some people that are specialized in manifesting the power source generated from rukh to create something made from nature, like that orb of water that I made…and of course that item that you used was borrowing the formula of that creation.”

The girl seemed to understand Endolf’s logic about getting back into the city and away from the desert’s edge, introducing her beast as Haku before instructing the Fanalis that he could climb onto the cat’s back. Understanding her own suggestion the redhead would do exactly that, climbing onto the space Noir had made on the cat’s back in front of her before settling down. The two managed to return to the city far quicker with Haku’s help than they would have without it. Once they were back she would begin making proper introductions, telling the boy that her name was Noir before properly introducing him to Haku. When the two had climbed off the beast’s back she would bow to him before beginning to answer the questions he had asked back in the city’s edge.

“Rukh” was some kind of force that made up everything in existence, using nature to fuel everything. At least that was what Noir said. Apparently other people like her existed that were able to mold this “Rukh” like she had created her orbs of water. It was also how his gauntlet was able to mold water the way it could. It wasn’t a very detailed explanation as far as Endolf understood but it was still a lot more than what he was expecting for an answer and a lot more to grasp. “That’s…. interesting. Please, would you explain this to me a bit more? There's actually a bit more I'd like to know than just that, but this is something that seems pretty interesting too."

Magoi/Stamina: 194/214

“I would love to but may I know your name, sir?” The black haired girl would stare directly towards the Fanalis’ eyes as if she was trying to look into his soul to know more. Once she got to know his name, she would take out her wand and pointed it to the redhead but he didn’t need to worry since she had no intention to harm him with her magic. With a slow movement, she twirl her wand and produced a small plasma ball. It was harmless as Noir only put a small amount of magoi there, making it a very weak one. Being a magician, only by commanding the rukh, she could see the color of the rukh that helped her to create the plasma ball. However, she knew that the Fanalis couldn’t see it, given the fact that they didn’t have the ability to see or command the rukh. “This orb is created by borrowing the power of rukh… You might not able to see it fluttering around because of some reason, however the color of the rukh was yellow as it was bringing the power of lightning magic inside.” Once she was done explaining to him, she would then pointed down her wand and started to say, “Our rukh also has color too… but for now I should go back… It was a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Endolf.” She would walk away from Endolf after saying goodbye to him, wanted to quickly get some rest as she started to not feeling well again.
