Magoi Manipulation

Since I'll soon posses the ability to use Magoi Manipulation...

From the description about Magoi Manipulation it can be assumed that you can use it in defensive techniques but you won't get the "offensive" bonus against other defenses. Kind of obvious because you can't attack with a defensive technique. My question is...

If Magoi Manipulation is used within a defensive technique, would opposing Magoi Manipulation Offensive Techniques still get the bonus over said Magoi Manipulation Defensive Technique or not?

The staff has discussed it and has decided that it would make sense that a Magoi Manipulation defensive technique can be used against an Offensive Magoi Manipulation technique while not losing its normal 1 tier boost.

That will be the only advantage given to the defensive use of Magoi Manipulation. It does not increase the tier of defense capability, it simply cancels out the opposing benefit of decreasing its defensive capability.
