Merrze was enjoying a nice night time stroll through the woods. She had nothing better to do at the time and she had heard rumours that this place was very beautiful to walk through at night and she thought it was a very nice place to walk. As she was enjoying her stroll through the woods she heard a loud scream. She noted which direction it came from and rushed there as fast as she could. After a few minutes of running through the woods she encountered ruins. She looked around for awhile until she found an entrance and walked in. The place was very dark but there seemed to be some moonlight entering the place. She looked around and noticed a bunch of bodies littering the place. They all looked fresh, but when she touched them the felt as if they had been here for a long period of time. As she was looking around she noticed a person in the distance. As she focused her vision she noticed it was Jahan a person that she had quested with before. She noticed that he wasn't moving so she rushed his way and yelled. "JAHAN" when she arrived at his body she noticed that his body was getting colder but he was still alive but she had to get him treatment as quick as possible. She picked him up and said. "It's okay Jahan I'm going to get you some help, everything is going to be okay. I can promise you that." She had wondered what had done that to him but she would ask him that after he was okay. Whatever it was, it was probably what caused all of these people to end up like this. She had exited the ruins and was running as fast as she could while holding him.

After securing her brother’s movement out of the country, Ayero took to the forested area bordering Remano. With war looming, the Fanalis warrior wanted to ensure that she and her beasts were in top shape for the upcoming battle for Remano. While both she and Kabu had experienced many battles together, Tomato was still fairly untrained. She had seen what the young bird could do in terms of capability, remembering how she had blown a great gust of wind at the slave traders trying to capture her and her brother at their first meeting. With the intent of spending several days training the bird in combat, Ayero had rented a small cabin in the forest from a hunter who wasn’t currently using it.

The day they had arrived, Ayero decided to teach Tomato some basic commands. It was something she had never tried with Kabu, seeing as how the snake usually observed and acted on his own and she had come to trust his judgment. But Tomato was a different type of beast—she would likely need direction, seeing as how her strength seemed to be in the air rather than on the ground.

”Alright Tomato, you stay here.” Ayero carried the small bird to the center of a clearing in front of the cabin and placed her onto the ground. She then turned her back and began to walk towards the edge of the clearing, but was stopped after only several feet by a cheeping sound. Not understanding that she was supposed to stay put, Tomato simply followed after Ayero. Sighing, the Fanalis woman knelt down to pick the bird back up and carry her over to where she was supposed to stay. ”No, Tomato. You stay here.” She used a firm voice, but Tomato only peered up at her and cocked her head to the side. She took a step back, keeping her eye on the bird who didn’t move and only stared up at her with curiosity. After taking another step back without Tomato moving, Ayero finally turned her back and began moving towards the edge of the clearing again.

Not surprisingly, a flurry of chirps sounded from behind her as Tomato ran to eagerly catch up. Sighing, Ayero scratched at her head. It looked like she certainly had her work cut out for her.

For the next several days, Ayero and Tomato worked hard. Eventually Ayero began to grasp the concept of directing Tomato with vocal signals, teaching her basic commands such as flight, direction and staying put. She was satisfied that Tomato began learning quickly, and that through training the bird she began to grow closer to her. Tomato was eager to please, happy when Ayero’s voice took on a positive tone in praise. Ayero was happy that the young bird seemed comfortable around her, and began thinking of ways that she could aid the Fanalis and her snake in battle. She didn’t want to push the young flacon too hard, seeing as how she was still just a child. Though Tomato seemed to try hard, she would occasionally become distracted and start to wander about her surroundings, or peck at the ground if there happened to be a particularly tasty looking worm there. Ayero tried her best to work with this behavior, chiding Tomato firmly when she strayed from her task and rewarding her with treats and head pats when she did well. The Fanalis tried to keep their training schedules regular, practicing with Tomato in the mornings and evenings, leaving a few hours during midday for them to relax and share lunch together.

[Tomato D to C-tier training: 500+/500]

One evening, Ayero and Tomato were outside training as usual. The bird was aloft in the air, flying in wide circles as she waited for Ayero to give her the signal to land. Ayero was watching the bird closely, when the sound of movement in the surrounding forest caught her ear. Turning her head in a startled fashion, she whistled for Tomato and held out her arm for the bird to land on. As Tomato perched on the woman’s arm, she began to chirp excessively. During her flight, she had spied what was making the movement through the trees and was attempting to alert Ayero.

Squinting into the forest, Ayero stood her ground firmly until she noticed a head of red hair approaching. As the figured moved closer, she noticed a familiar face. ”Merrze?”  She raised a brow, recognizing the other Fanalis from the job they did together not too long ago. ”What are you doing out he…” Her voice trailed as her gaze swept lower to the body she had been carrying, recognizing it instantly as Jahangir. She raised a brow, unconcerned at first. It wasn’t uncommon to see Jahan with bumps and bruises from his latest excursion, but as she looked closer she noticed that there were no signs of battle on his body. Moreover, he seemed to be out cold. ”Merrze, what happened to Jahan?” Her voice seem tinged with an edge of worry now.
