The sound of galloping hooves could be heard all the way down the mainstreet and through the gate of the city. Even with the hustle and bustle of the people coming in to search for work, the sounds of around forty hooves clip-clopping their way through [and out of] the city sounded like oncoming thunder. They had to be the first to get there, they had to get the power for the glory of the empire, blah blah blah blah, posh twaddle nobody gives half a shit about. Alek was, for the first time in the last year, wearing the Fanalis Corps' actual armor. It was golden and resplendent, but hidden underneath his black cloak, his hair pulled back out of the wind by his scarf that he had repurposed as a bandana.
"You keeping up okay?" he asked, albeit a little smugly, to the joint leader of this operation.

The son of the great tactician and the daughter of the great warrior, they were two of the best fitting people to lead this expedition, but considering that Alek was only a captain and Sara was, by some accounts, only in her position due to her father actually leading the corps, there were some dissenting views about how right they were to lead this dungeon crawl.

Sara sat on her horse not really amused as she was on the horse while riding with Zander.  They were going on an Expedition made by her father himself. He trusted them to go into this place where a great power lied and check it out for this great power that was supposably suppose to be in it. The plan was for them to sneak in and attempt to find this great power while the other Fanalis Corps would be stalling. Sara remembered the words of her dad echoing throughout her head.

"Also Be careful. I doubt were the only one sending people inside to scout for this power."

The man had told Sara. Sara's opinion was they ere sending weak people because most of the strong people were easily recognized and their Magoi levels were probably off the chart to the point that anything rash would most likely lead to conflict. It was also a risk because there was no guarantee there was a power inside. Sara had blocked out most of what Zander had said as she would turn and face him saying "Hmmm?" With curiosity wondering what he had said. She smiled knowing that it probably annoyed him. Who liked to be annoyed? It would be a long ride to the Mainland.
