Travel System

Travel Topics are the special topics in which your character travels from one Region to another. In order to travel you must post a Travel Topic. The world is set up into multiple areas. Each of these areas fall into one of two categories: Regions or Locations.

Region: A Region is a large expanse of land that covers/includes more than one Location. Ex.: The Northwest and The Southwest

Location: A Location is any given forum within a Region. Capital cities, surrounding plains, and other areas that are encompassed by a Region are considered Locations. Ex.: Reim, The Plains, Magnostadt and The Continent of Darkness

There are two methods of travel on the site:

Basic:
This form of travel is completed by reaching a word count explaining how you got from one Region to another. Traveling using this method comes at no OOC Huang cost. It normally involves walking, going by caravan, on mount, or even going by ship if the Map displays two Regions which are separated by sea. Some special mounts and beasts allow a word count reduction when creating travel threads.

When going from one Region to another Region, the word count is 200 words per Region. Ex.: To travel from Reim (1 Region) to Heliohapt(1 Region) it would take a 200 word count topic, as you traveled through 1 Regions to get there. Traveling from Balbadd (1 Region) to Zou (1 Region) would take a 400 word count topic, as you must past through the Mainland (1 Region) in order to get there, thus making 2 Regions to arrive at your destination. When going from one Region to another, you can end up in any given Location within the Specified Region. The exception is when traveling to The Open Seas, in which case it is 100 word count to travel to or from this Region. The Region you travel from does not count as one of the Regions.

When going from one Location to another Location within the same Region, there is no word count and you don't have to make a travel thread. You can role-play within all of the given locations in a single Region at the same time, as long as you don't exceed your topic limit.

While players can genuinely only roleplay in one Region at a time, they may roleplay in a second region for the sake of personal rping reasons, special jobs or events. These regions must be close However, they must still travel there and are limited between those two areas currently.

Fast Travel:
Fast Travel is a means to travel from one region to another without the necessary WC. In order to use fast travel you pay a sum of 10,000 Huang. The IC time spent traveling between regions still applies as in the Travel Time section below. Please post in this thread to purchase this.


Travel Time:
Traveling from one country to the next takes some time to do, and is not an immediate process. In these cases, if you're wondering how long it would take, please look at the table below:

• Reim to Imuchakk: Boat - 3 months
  
• Reim to Magnostadt: Boat - 6 weeks
  
• Reim to Heliohapt: Boat - 1 month, Land - 2 Months
  
• Magno to Helio: Boat - 2 months
  
• Magno to Balbadd: Boat - 6 weeks, Land - 3 months
  
• Magno to Kou: 1 yr by foot, 6 months by horse/wagon
  
• Magno to Meridia: 8 months by foot, 4 months by horse/wagon
  
• Balbadd to Kou: By Wagon - 3 months
  
• Balbadd to Meridia: Wagon- 2 months, Boat- 2 weeks
  
• Kou to Meridia: 2-3 weeks by wagon through the mountains
