Twenty miles north from Tisifun, where the Yaik river turns blue-green in southernmost Reim, lies a stretch of plainlands inhabited only by birds and wild beasts. Well, at least they were the only inhabitants until something new just so happened to appear overnight. Even stranger was that it seemed this something was a massive hot-spring! Yes, a hot-spring had suddenly appeared in the middle of the Yaik plainlands overnight.

And the culprit?

Well, she was chilling in the waters, enjoying her alone-time. As she lounged half-naked, Zubaidah sipped at some cocktail with a dainty umbrella from one hand, while watching an unusual artefact held in the other. Tossing this artefact up and down like a beach-ball, she studied the Torran writing on it for a while longer, before giving up again. She had tried to decipher its meaning so many times, but it had stumped her to such an extent that she had decided to just relax for a while instead.

So she had used the artefact to create a massive hot-spring. Oh, and don’t forget the illusory hotel she had created on top of it with Marax’s vessel. Ah, and all the hotel-staff produced via her favourite magic tool.

Yeah, just the sort of normal thing that anyone who wanted to relax would do, right?

So there she was. Alone in the lands around Tisifun, a wanderer explored the wilderness. Was she lost? Klara would never admit it. She often worked as a guide and her value in that was always knowing where to go. It just so happened that this time, she had no objective or reason to care where she was. A map filled one hand while her other tilted on to her Insectoid like skull helmet above her head so she could feel the breeze on her face. It was not hot, but it had been a while (by her OWN choice) since she had been in a real bath. If only she could pin-point the location of a lake or a small river.

Like a cue from a story, the girl saw something in the distance. It seemed to be a building in the middle of nowhere but more importantly, she could smell... water. Klara rushed over to the location though upon getting closer, the girl felt a bit nervous about the whole thing. What if it was a trap? What if she secretly was in Helios and was suffering a mirage. The girl slapped her cheeks before donning her helmet. All of those things would make for a great story.

Upon reaching the spot, the girl hid her stuff in some near by foliage and then went off on a mission to break into the place. At worst, she could feint being lost but at best, she could discover the true reason for this place being here. The girl quickly circled to the back of the establishment where she found some incredibly high walls. The girl quickly scaled the wall and witness something amazing. It was a gigantic steamy pool!

”Look! Over there! I see something!” Clearing the top of the hill, an excited Humayra pointed with a forward jab of her arm and she ushered Abir Al-Sadek to follow. Over the hill and further into the Yaik plainlands, an invitingly robust structure made its presence known. It stood as the only testament to civilization in the otherwise wild plainland. The giddy fanalis girl was more than a little determined to meet with society again after they’d gotten themselves lost in the wilderness more than a week ago now.

“What… is that?” Abir Al-Sadek reached the peak of the hill and raised his arm to shield his eyes for a better look at what Humayra so gleefully pointed out to him, but what he saw beyond the hill perturbed him deeply. Steam rose from what he could only guess were pools of heated water near the structure. It didn’t match up with his understanding of geography, and nothing else he’d seen in the area had been possessed of anything even remotely similar to the features this structure seemed to be advertising. “We should approach this place with caution. For all we know this could be a trap of some sort--“ Abir Al-Sadek looked on with dismay, watching as Humayra suddenly broke away and hurried down the hill, nearly bounding towards the bizarre structure. He was beginning to realize that his fanalis companion appeared to have a weak spot in her heart for new and strange things. “I certainly hope this endeavor doesn’t come back to bite us later.” He muttered to himself with an exasperated sigh before resigning himself to follow.

Humayra made her way over to the structure. Interested as she was to investigate, she still mindfully kept her pace so as not to leave Abir Al-Sadek too far behind. Though Humayra did notice the high walls, she hadn’t seen Klara’s approach or her scaling of the walls because she’d approached the place from the opposite direction. ”Can you believe that a place like this exists?” Humayra asked Al-Sadek, suddenly bringing her voice down to a whisper only he could hear.

“No. Which is why I think we aught to approach this situation with caution…” Again Al-Sadek’s sound and logical suggestion went unanswered as he caught a flash of red hair making its way over to the building’s main entrance to be greeted by what appeared to be one of the structure’s attendants. “I swear, every time there’s a situation that doesn’t call for swift action and violence you suddenly become as foolish as a little child who’s been presented with a room full of toys.” Muttering his complaint to no one but himself, Abir Al-Sadek trudged up to the building’s entrance to rejoin Humayra. The only reassurance of safety he had in their coming here came from the fact that they hadn’t been attacked or ambushed as of yet.
