The Ash Company

Ash Company Logo:

Affiliation: Self / Parthevia

Type: Social / Political

Status: Invite Only

Requirements:

  • Entry: A prospective employee must provide references from previous workplaces and undertake an interview from the Ash Company director.

  • Departure: An employee may resign from the Ash Company without much issue, requiring a non-disclosure agreement (that will be monitored and turned into a bounty if broken). If they are part of the governing Board, a settlement will be found among other Board members.

  • Activity: An employee must be active in one AC every two months, and must post something related to the Ash Company for one AC every two months, otherwise they will be forced to resign.

Description: Zubaidah founded the Ash Company as a performance troupe, or ‘company’, before she moved her business into the fashion industry. At first, she recruited new and rising talent into the Ash Company, creating a network of dancers and producers which extended from Reim to Kou. In time, she realised that the Ash Company had expanded beyond the restraints of ‘performance troupe’ into something more influential. They were known and celebrated across the world, assuming celebrity status within the music and dance industries.

In present times, Zubaidah has turned that celebrity status towards the fashion industry. Since the Ash Company had established itself from Parthevia to the Plains, she realised that their status could be transformed into profit and political footing. As she negotiated deals with southern Reiman tribes and her native Parthevia, Zubaidah established a supply-chain for materials and finished products with head-quarters in Tisifun. She then weaponised the global Ash Company network in order to advertise and distribute products across the world.

Brands: As regards the products themselves, the Ash Company has established three fashion-brands aimed at different customer-bases:

  • Ombre:
An unusual and experimental brand, Zubaidah manages Ombre herself. It works with new materials and makes them available where the common market could not afford them, spreading innovative styles for clothing (such as sportswear).

  • GAIA:
A brand using simple and natural textiles, such as wool or cotton, GAIA focuses upon seasonal clothes with costs being fairly affordable. It has the widest distribution radius since the materials allow for increased production, but the clothes distributed are prone to change because GAIA only uses the materials available at the time of production. Nazairi specialists design these clothes, thus they have a definite Parthevian flair and colour palette.

  • D’Eon:
As a brand honouring the traditional industry, D’Eon creates expensive and luxurious fashion. Since the rich and elite are their customer-base, the common market would be fortunate to afford even one piece from D’Eon’s collections - and it is seen as a status symbol to even have an accessory from there. It will often collaborate with tailors and dress-makers from outside the Ash Company for limited edition collections.
