In the mountains hidden far away from a world-weary from war sat a place built for such that was being reclaimed by the world around it. However, even this refuge wouldn't be safe as the events that had avoided it until now were on its doorstep as the war came calling for the land and the secrets hidden there. On the Parthevian peninsula in the mountains near the ocean was hidden a fortress built into the mountain and made to look as if it was part of it. With a river to its front and the range to its back, the structure was strategically placed for defending and hiding even as now it seemed to be degrading into pieces with age.

With the mysteries of it being revealed in small whispers on their doorstep came the armies, it began with a Heliohapt scout who was captured after sharing the information to a few people, and that knowledge got loose. Then in the weeks since the war had taken a drastic turn as nearly a week ago the Heliohaptian navy had been decimated and the remaining nobles decided to go for one last shot. If they could secure the fortress with their remaining forces, hold out and get was beneath they thought there was a chance to win. With the Information loose to the world as their herald had been captured the other forces had soon made a response. As Al-Shamshura sent their sultan with the full might of their army Tartarus came for the prizes and to aid their ally, and all the while the chaotic forces that vied for power in the Peninsula suddenly formed an alliance to protect themselves amidst rising powers and their common threat of the blood camels.

The Mountain Fortress:

Around what could have once been called the walls of the fort were plenty of gaps from the back of the mountain where one could descend to the sides that only required some hiking, and finally, the gates which had long since turned into fertilizer for the soil had filled the ground. It was a peculiar place where man-man structure blended into the natural earth and plants of the garden had grown over and even trees had begun to fill the courtyard where there had once only been one or two for decoration. As squirrels and birds made chittering noises in this canopy it was clear that inside the fortifications it had become more wild than domestic.

As so many entrances could be found to the fortress the real difficulty would be climbing up and around it without getting found by the various armies that had occupied the land below. However, this didn't mean no one had yet made it there and in fact, it was quite the opposite.

Upon the walls and along with the mountain people well hidden would look out at the battlefield around them, many of their friends and allies were below. While they were the ones who were going to be in a more confined and mysterious place in hopes of finding some mysterious artifact it would be them who had the chance to have their might earn them lifelong glory. It was clear to them that on any front there were going to be actions that would have massive consequences, who would dominate the battlefield, and who would not only find but also figure out the mysterious artifact below.

With all this on the minds of many, all would have to find their way deeper inside, whether they were with allies or completely alone it is true that no one was inside just yet, and they still had to get to the underground. It was now up to them coming up on the fortress to decide how they would do things so they could turn the tide, hoping those on the battlefield would do the same.

It was a fairly cloudy, but tame day. Yet, the marching of soldiers and clanging of metal were to fill the air near the fortress. However, as for the immediate vicinity of the fortress, nobody seemed to be fighting there just yet. Gilgamesh had communicated with Zubaidah, his comrade within this war, prior to venturing out, so they had come together, with their own plans. How may those plans pan out? Well, neither of them quite knew, but they did know that they had to be on guard, for the artifact they were trying to obtain was far from a secret.

It was completely unknown what sort of artifact this was, but Gilgamesh did know that he had to obtain this artifact for himself and Zubaidah. It could not fall within the hands of the other factions, for this artifact could likely change the entire tides of the war. It was up to Gilgamesh and Zubaidah to secure his artifact, then use the artifact to unite this vast peninsula.

Why had the soldier come to this land? Well, the story began after he returned to Parthevia. Once the noble lady, Zubaidah, came back to the region too, she and Gil made contact once more, finding out that the war was escalating back up. It seemed that the finale of the war was coming. Gil could not let this time pass him and Zubaidah up. Upon having learnt of an artifact being buried deep within the ancient fortress, he and Zubaidah had decided to collaborate together to reach the artifact. At this distance, the fort seemed to be rather dilapidated, but coming closer, by hiking through the mountain gaps, could see a bit clearer.

In the obscure and hidden gaps of the mountains behind the fort laid a path to come down the side of the fort, but before Gil was to traverse farther, he was to try and find a more discreet way to enter the fort with his cestus. If the lady Zubaidah was by his side, he was to grab her hand while he came to the back walls of the fort and crouch down, concealing his and her presence. Gil had hiked this far with Zubaidah thus far, but did not want to traverse too close to the walls or entrances. If he so happened to still encounter others, then that just so happened to be fate, but he was to try to maintain a low profile.

Gilgamesh: "Hey, miss Zubaidah, so we will be entering from this point to avoid others seeing us. Prepared? I will begin now. It will be a bumpy ride."

Said the man, grasping Zubaidah by her waist, given the noble let him manhandle her, though the woman had no choice here. At that moment, Gil was to feed magoi to his cestus, opening a path within the earth to lead into the fort. However, he was to go right for the first lower layer. Upon opening up the tunnel, he was to begin to flex his legs, starting up an ability of his so he could begin to be able to bolt for the depths. Gil was to race down the tunnel he opened up that followed him, the white scarf that covered his face billowing out behind him meanwhile his eyes set fixated on the path he opened up for him and Zubaidah.

Rumour had reached Zubaidah of some artefact in Parthevia, powerful enough that all the Heliohaptian factions had mobilised in pursuit. She had heard that the PIA were hot on their heels as well, but she did not even trust them with such power - or rather she trusted them least of all. Bahadur might have granted her new arms, but Zubaidah could not trust someone who allied themselves with thieves and murderers. She was not here for them, nor was she here to seek out power, but that she might extract the artefact and keep it safe from any who might abuse it. For if her hunch was right, the artefact might be a relic of Alma Torran - and perhaps a dangerous one at that.

Zubaidah was travelling with a small group of Parthevian Toads, who she had met around the northern Parthevian roads, when she arrived nearby the fortress. She had not been formally inducted into the PIA, hence she had not joined their main body, but the Toads were frequent customers of her wares. As such, although she wished that they could join her, Zubaidah said her farewells before they rode towards where their leader was camped. She had told them the outline of her plan, hoping that they might convince their leader to act as a distraction whilst she and Gilgamesh infiltrated the fortress unseen.

As for him, she had joined Gilgamesh some distance away, far from prying eyes, ‘I am always prepared, dear.’ If she were honest, she preferred when the man was more gentle, but she could suffer being manhandled just this once, since nobody was watching, ‘But let’s see what surprise you have in store.

The war at sea did not go as he had planned. It was true he was happy he could help save the lives of Lagi's people his fellow Dungeon Beast, however, that was not a role he was used to playing. Being seen as a Hero of sorts was an odd aspect. Even though Julius felt he was saving the world one country-wide disaster at a time.  Just like before Julius felt like he was being held back by having Tartarus forces with him. He had asked again and again to go alone but Lagi had valued his friend's life too much. The Plagued Skeleton Lord hated having Lagi's people with him for one simple reason. The spells he could use would be limited.  There was nothing he could do about that now only plan accordingly. Ultimately if things looked like they were going to go south for them, Julius would do what he needed to bring the item they sought back to Lagi.

There would be no failure or compromise this time, the dog was off the leash. Perhaps this could be a lesson to Lagi that sometime there would be a few eggs needing to be Broken in order to achieve ultimate victory. He had hated letting Gillies go in their fight, but Lagi had put his trust in him. The result of that helped save many. Still, the fight ending with no loser or winner irked him to his spine.
No matter this would be different.

Julius could see the fortress which was the destination of many today, while the battlefield had the glory to give his objective was somewhere with that fortress, an artifact that could help keep the Dungeon beast of Tartarus safe.  Yet also, could possibly be used for him to take out Reim once in for all. Unknowing to him, a known Warrior and leader among a new rising power had taken to becoming an alley with a woman who had gained a bit of a reputation in Reim. Neither of them had been on Julius' radar nor did he know of their involvements thus far against the Tartarus Kingdom.   Where the three of them are not in a way allies all against Reim in some fashion or another yet enemies when it came to the growth of power for Tartarus. Could middle ground be found or would the three of them have to fight it out? Who could say?

Julius and his small forces of Tartarus members led by himself, Yurameshi, and Jack. These two were the closest Julius had to friends outside of Lagi but were ultimately just tools for his goals, more so Jack than Yurameshi, literally.    Jack was after all a living Magic tool, this was the second or third one he knew of.  These two would become household vessel user's of Julius in the future, their training had already started but they had yet to acquire proper use of Zoran's abilities.  It did not matter much though, Julius trusted in their teamwork.  In any case, the group neared the fortress hailing in from the south, with watchful eyes they attempted to stay in the shadows of the trees that neared the small body of water. Calling a halt to the patrol Julius shifted his bones around as he removed his left pinky finger from his hands after removing both sets of gloves, the magic ones, and the armored ones.  Using his hand he dug into the ground about 10 inches deep and placed his Pinky bone there. It was enough that he could still use his sword in that hand if needed and was good enough that he may cast a spell from this bone later if things got that bad.  Requipping his gloves Julius kept pushing forward with his group, he searched for a pathway inside using any inside knowledge he might have picked up along from their Sources to lead him into the fortress.

Julius of course was wearing his Amor from Kina, along with his Mask, on his left hips for an easy draw with his right hand he wore his Plague sword, over his hands under the armor were white gloves, one of left and right, over his armor on his left hand and arm was a black glove. On his lower back strapped like a sword was a long rifle, given to him by a Magi. On his back he wore a tan back pack, strapped to it his Sword given to him by Yurameshi, and lastly inside his new item, a magoi sword that could possibly come in handy.

As all the parties approached the fortress they would begin to notice something odd, for those who walked into the walls and into the fort would be granted a majestic sight. Flora and Fauna had overtaken the inside as they would see a veritable fortress that had claimed the ground once used for training and mustering forces. With animals jumping and scurrying away it seemed like there was plenty here that called it home even if humans no longer did.

For Julius, as he would enter the forest with his men he'd still be able to make out the walls, and a few buildings in the distance. Immediately he could see a building directly on the other side of him, attached to the walls with a single wooden door. Then there was another door that he could only see a tiny peek of through the forest in the fortress around him. It was a larger, two-part door with iron siding on it, though it was made from the same wood as the other. They would both likely get him into the fortress interior, but what else could they lead to. Although, there was a third option as he would see a path, going left to right that disappeared into the woods all he would have to do is decide where he wanted to take his squad and try to figure out where others might be.

As Angelus and Zub approached with their unusual method they would notice something as they started to descend into the ground below them. Although the earth would fold around them they would see some roots, but they were under the fortress where they not? It might've seemed confusing to them at the moment, but with the speed, they moved at there wouldn't be much time for them to think before they would suddenly start falling.

In a mere moment, the earth beneath them would open a hole to a 10-meter drop into a mysterious area around them.  The slick ebony stone that was perfectly lined the walls only to be broken apart by sconces alit with a dim teal flame that flickered around them giving a haunting light. However, as they would look further they would only feel more lost as it was the same both ways, with no form or sign telling them where to go. First, they would have to catch their fall if they didn't want to sprain themselves or gain any injury, but then they would have to decide what path they were taking.

Its silver clawed fingertips dug deep within the earthen soil, paving a tunneled path for the duo, but what would await them once they had traversed far enough? It had yet to be seen. However, what Gil did know, was that this woman had quite the way with her words. Anyways, that was not what was of priority. Upon racing towards the first depths of the fortress, there were to be roots laid within the ground, but was this not a fortress? Ah, well, perhaps the fortress could have been claimed by nature, Gil could only imagine. If that happened to be the case, then that meant this fortress or supposed fortress was rather old. Gil had no clue on the history of the structure nor the underground depths that the structure houses.

It was up to him and Zub to try and get to the bottom of this, quite both literally and figuratively. If he had begun to fall, he was to trust that his companion was to have caught his fall. If so, then he was to now be standing within the fortress halls, but unknowing of where he and his partner should go from here on out. It proved to be troublesome for the two. However, the man was to stand firm on his decision to enter from the underground first. If push came to shove, and the route they took crawled with others, then they simply must deal with said consequences. Gil was to point to the left, deciding to take the left for once.

Gilgamesh: "I shall trust your keen hearing to know whether or not there may be people ahead on this path. If we see the Shar, or the Toads, we will communicate our desires to work with their factions. If anyone else, frankly, I do not trust them. At that moment, you'd fly straight down while my cestus claws pave our path to the depths of this fortress."

Said the rather careful Gil, ensuring he and Zub were to remain okay. If the girl okayed his plan, he was to traverse the barely lit ebony stone hall with her, either with him grasping him or her on his back. It depended on Zub.

Both above ground and below ground an uneasy feeling of peace would be found for them all despite the different actions they had all taken, and their own deep motivations. It was something that might not have, but should have expected with the situations they found themselves in. They had all decided for one reason or another to leave the main field of battle and go for the artifact that was supposedly below them all.

Angelus in his moment would hear almost nothing coming from the world around him, it was as if the hall it self had sucked sound from it. However, this wasn't true as he could hear any noises he made and there was even a small echo. He had truly found himself in a place where he and his ally courted nothing but the ghost of memories long gone. Were they the first ones to make it to this level, or were the people who had made it inside already gotten deeper. He couldn't be sure, but this was both the benefit and downside to the path he had taken without knowing where it would quite take him below.

While he might've been left with very little to go off at the moment there was that silence, waiting to be filled, and how long till someone or something would come to answer the call of the void.

Being in close contact with Gilgamesh, Zubaidah could not resist listening to his rukh. She had not resonated with him before, but her experience with Collia and Jahangir had proven that the rukh were more than willing to converse. Of course, she did not receive much new information from them, save that Gilgamesh was thinking about Reim and Parthevia both. She was unaware that he had connections with Reim, but Zubaidah assumed that he was involved in some matters that were of little concern.

As their tunnel opened into a wider corridor, however, Zubaidah was forced from thought into action. Uncertain about his capabilities, Zubaidah activated her Luna Heels and caught Gilgamesh before lowering themselves to the ground. She could not hear anything, even with her Foolish Wisdom, but kept her ears open for sounds from above - or the rukh themselves. If she heard nothing else, Zubaidah would follow Gilgamesh’s lead and glide towards the left-hand corridor. Even as she was listening for trouble, however, she remained even more reserved. She had dismissed Gilgamesh’s connections with Reim before, but what if they meant more to him than Parthevia? For that matter, since he had never mentioned Reim, what did Reim even mean to him at all?

With the tunnel giving them no information Zubaidah and Angelus would choose to go down the left hand from where they landed, traveling further into a tunnel that looked the same on all sides. They were quick and moved for what may have seemed like a few minutes before they would finally begin to notice a change as all the braziers on the wall had begun to change flame to a soft pink. It was gentle and rocked back and forth in a bit more peaceful of a way than the flames on the earlier sconces had been.

This wouldn't be the first thing that would catch their attention however as finally, they would come across a fork in the tunnel, three different hallways. They all looked very similar, except for the third where there was some wear and tear along the edges. Although the other two looked like they would soon hear something, it sounded like a heavy object being moved and then, whispers.

"Are we sure this is the right choice?" A feminine voice could barely be heard from the middle path, perfectly to Angelus but Zub would hear two other things at the same time. "This should be the best option.....I knew this was a bad decision!"

The words fell upon their ears even though for the poor woman there were some false ones from the curse she held. It was truly an interesting situation with more clues than before. They knew nothing of the first path, that there were people down the middle, and the third seemed to be suffering from disrepair and lack of maintenance at a higher degree than the rest of the fort. Although they had plenty of time to decide before it seemed to finally be catching up to them, deep in the distance the echo of someone running without care could be heard barreling down the hallway. They might have a moment to think, but how sure could they be, once again the decisions were pressing down on them.

After some time spent on which door to go to Julius picked the larger set of doors. He and his troops moved with caution, each having their own sector to scan as they moved as a single unit. There would be no rushing as they moved up to the door. Upon arriving at it, Julius would reach his gloved hands to the door and check to see if it was unlocked, if he was able to open it he would give a nod to his party and either pull it open to allow Yurameshi to push through the door first or push it forward walking in himself with his Diseased God Fang Drawn. If the door would be locked he would use his sword to cut through the wood with two cuts, the first being an overhead strike, the other a right to left upwards swing, each dealing A-tier damage."

Once instead Julius and his party moved into the room and began to search the room for enemies and objects of interest. Yurameshi was an excellent tracker, he was going to be running point on most of the mission. The party would stack up in two columns if the hall allowed, the point men being Yurameshi on the left and Julius on the right. Then Jack behind Julius and the Tartarus men fill in the rest.

Angelus were to be caught by the quick handed Zubaidah luckily, but he needed to be more cautious from here on out. Upon being flown through the left corridor, Angelus and the lady were to come to a fork, where they now had the option to traverse either of three paths before them. However, what was the proper decision for the two? It was quite difficult to say. Yet, a clue was to open up before the two, and that was to be the voice of what seemed to be a girl saying whether they were sure or not they had chosen the right path. It was at that moment that Angelus was to then hear a person barreling down the path behind them.

How will Angelus proceed? Well, he was to trust his gut and instinct. So, the man was to grasp lady Zubaidah whom was carrying him, then begin to bolt for the path that was more worn, unmaintained. Angelus felt that there must be a reason for that path not being maintained as well. It was his only clue to the artifact that he had available to him, so he was to trust that only clue. Angelus was to bolt down that path initially, but then slow down, realizing that the path was unmaintained, therefore, he best be more careful. Angelus hoped that this path was the correct choice.

Zubaidah was unsure whether she should ask Angelus about his relations to Reim and Parthevia, but she was afraid that his answer might break their own fragile relationship. After all, she needed him to remain at her side if they wanted the artefact over the other Heliohaptian factions. So whatever he had not told her would wait for a later time

Zubaidah would instead release Angelus once they arrived at the fork, discerning that the middle path was occupied. She was uncertain whether the group was allied or not, but she was almost certain that they were not the Toads. But how could she know, when Ipos’ curse rang in her ears? Not trusting her own senses, Zubaidah would rely upon the rukh’s guidance and look for any tracks or objects she could resonate with.

Even with this knowledge, however, Zubaidah would follow after Angelus. Or rather, she would allow him to take her into his arms and bolt down the worn-down path. After all, with his tool, they could burst into the middle path whenever they wanted.

As Julius lead his men forward he would take the prudent decision of going to the larger door, and for a fortress, a large door meant large things had to go through it. As he broke through the door and entered inside he would find himself in a large atrium with the skylight being lightly obscured by vines and roots that were growing overtop allowing a small amount of light to make it through and shine below them.

While he hadn't found any enemies inside he would find two more obvious paths, but this time with more clues than he would've received before. Each one of them had obvious signs of travel with footprints and other tracked dirt following people inside. Although in most cases it would be hard to tell where they were going each of the hallways leading out of the atrium had clear signage as if to instruct people who were entering for the first time. However, it did seem like this place was meant to accompany a large number of people from the room that was inside.

On the left, there was a hall with more orderly food steps leading to what was labeled as an armory, while the path on the right side of the hall had a mess of indiscernible tracks that claimed it lead to barracks. Then in the middle of the room directly across from him was a broken fountain with a giant painting that had scuffs around the edge as if it had been moved often.

Despite her further investigation Zubaidah would find nothing from the items she search for, but she would get some knowledge she wouldn't have expected and neither would Angelus as he carried her down the worn-down hallway. There were no braziers of light once they made it about half-way through, darkness guiding them with no threats to suddenly gain their attention. However, as they soon found light and a room at the end of the hall a surprise would be waiting for them.

A dimly lit room was only illuminated by a pale blue light coming from a crystal chandelier hanging low as it shimmered upon rusted bars. Locked and sealed were many a chamber with broken stone walls and skeletons of long-lost prisoners either slumped against the wall in defeat, or the bars of their cell in desperation hoping someone would save them even to the very last moment. A grim and dark sight it might've been better for them to stay in the darkness rather than investigate what had laid before them, or maybe they were exactly where they were supposed to be.

At the end of the dungeon, a larger cell with a broken door began to move, at first slowly with a creak befitting of the wind before suddenly it swung open with a skull flying past as it shattered against the stone with a powerful crash and a dreadful groan filling the air. "Guhhh..."

The choice had become obvious, Julius indeed needed to go to the armory and see what members of the fortress allied awaiting them and what type of gear they would be using, knowing would indeed be half the battle. If he knew what he would be up against he could better prepare for what was to come.
With Practiced hand and arm signals, the group still spilt into two columns and moved as one listening and scanning as they moved. While it was true Julius could make the entire group invisible and he could use sound magic to help detect where others were, he also knew he was probably not the only one coming for this artifact nor was he likely the closest one to it. Of course, he also could use Zoran's Step and move and flow through the entire facility in seconds. It would be a waste of Magoi to do so. For now, sticking to a squad was the best plan. Julius did keep his left hand slightly pointed forward and his right hand which held his sword tight to his core ready for someone to appear.

With no clues from these forked paths, Zubaidah journeyed down the worn-down one with Angelus. She was uncertain what they might find, but avoiding contact with unknown groups seemed best. After all, with the factions inside and outside the PIA, they had more enemies than friends. And judging by the groans coming from further down, it seemed that they had even more enemies inside than they had anticipated.

Drawing out one of her Night Talons, slowly and silently, Zubaidah found somewhere she could place it within the darkened entrance. She could not make out who or what the groaning sound was coming from, but it was more than likely an enemy. She would leave the first move to this perceived enemy or Angelus.

Gil had come down the path with lady Zubaidah, but what they were to encounter was to be quite eerie, to say the least. However, the scarfed man was to prepare to tunnel through the floor past what he and the noblewoman perceived to be a likely beast, but was this a beast? It had been some sort of unexplored dungeon they had ventured. Yet, what was the story behind this place?

Gil could see the slumped over skeletons of past prisoners that had been kept within these walls, but what was at the end of this dungeon? It must not be human, right? Gil was to prepare his cestus, ready to open up a path for him and the lady. If nothing came out by this point, Gil was to near the broken door where a dreadful groan had escaped from, his eyes fixated entirely on the cell.

For the skeleton and avatar of plague he must've been expecting endless battle for him to enjoy, however even as he entered the armory. While he would find everything one might expect, swords, shields, bows, and arrows. There would be plenty for back-up weapons if he needed them. Although there was all these things he mightve hoped for, there was something that was clearly out of place. A tunnel leading downwards could be seen in the corner. It was half-heartedly hidden with a torn banner hanging over the top, it's heraldry too decayed by time to make out who might've occupied this fortress in the past.

While he had a good moment to think it was clear that it definitely led somewhere of interest as a small breeze seemed to be knocking around the banner, blowing and occasionally sucking it closer.

As both Angelus and Zubaidah got closer to the cage they were right to be wary as a fearsome warrior was hidden in the cage. However, it wasn't one that was going ti cause them trouble as they heard the groan again, no longer echoed by the cell as a young woman emerged.

Her hair was long and like the sunset with locks of orange and red tips that flowed around her head like a mane. She saw them with a weapon and suddenly stopped. She pulled out a whip that looked suspiciously like a spine as she held up her own cestus looking at Gil.

"Fuck, I didn't expect anyone else to be coming this way. " She spoke her caution more evident in her voice then any sort of aggression."So, are we gonna talk or keep cracking skulls?"

The leader of the Shar didn't know who they were based off appearance, but the weapon and brief description of sunset hair and sand-kissed skin would likely give away who she was to Gilgamesh. She stared them down making no move as she watched them intently, waiting.

Rather cautious and careful, he was to put up his guard, ensuring that Zubaidah was behind him, so as he could protect the woman. Yet, once he was to lay his eyes unto whom was behind those cell bars, he was to reel his guard and cestus' back, stunned by who he had encountered here. It was from the depths of the cell that she was to emerge, the woman with sunset orange hair, and a sand kissed skin tone, the Shar Khan of the Desert Shar. It was so obvious. Gil had no need to inquire even.

A true beauty from that of the Shar lied before him now, her ferocious persona exuding from her wildly just upon having met her. Azar Khan was her name. Gil was to not reel his cestus' back entirely though, for he yet knew whether this woman was friend or foe. It was pertinent to him that he remained careful and cautious with this woman until she and he could foster some sort of relationship.

However, truth be told, the three had no time to sit back and chat. It was only to be a matter of time now before others came down this path. Gil had to act quick, but had to quell the nerves of the beautiful Khan first. Gil was to begin to react without hesitancy, nor fret, only focused on the task, perhaps even overly focused on the task and his dream:

Gilgamesh: "Azar Khan, I presume? I live near you and have met with your clan a few times before. I say your people are rather kind and brave, are they not, Azar? Okay, so skulls we're cracking, yes? Alright."

Gil was to step forth towards the cell, his black cestus' prepared for whatever may lie ahead.

Gilgamesh: "By the way, I am Gilgamesh. I am here with my friend, Zubaidah. I will just put this bluntly: I am here for the artifact cause I wish to unite Parthevia under one banner, by love first, and force second, Azar. I wish to begin by eliminating the Blood Camel once the artifact has been secured. No longer may I let the Blood Camel roam these lands. I will kill them."

Stoically he was to declare whilst his dark eyes gazed at what was to lay further within the depths of this prison.

"Anyways.."

So this is the famed lioness of the Shar?’ She came a little closer, a spear in one hand, curious to see the red-headed Azar. ‘I had expected someone less cute. Well, lions are cats in some sense, are they not?’ She took note of her cestus, measuring hers against Angelus’. ‘Just with sharper claws.

As he continued to speak, however, Zubaidah became both interested and bothered when Angelus made his intentions as Gilgamesh known. ‘A word of advice, dear Gil.’ She knew that he had connections with Reim and Parthevia, and her contacts had told her about the Angelist’s designs on Parthevia, so Zubaidah was cautious about Gilgamesh’s desires there. ‘Parthevia is filled with lions and all manner of beasts.’ She was uncertain whether he was associated with the Angelists for now, but Zubaidah was afraid that he might be considering something similar. ‘Do not think you can tame us so simply...

...lest you lose sight of our claws.

There was nothing of interest to Julius in this room, these weapons were normal and nothing special. Though what was interesting was how there seemed to be a hidden access point leading down. While there surely were other routes he could take it was this one that made him feel like this was a good choice to make. "Let's go down there. I have a feeling whatever we are looking for is probably on one of the lower levels and is probably more secure. Let's make sure we do our best to remain as quiet as possible, I don't want to waste magoi to have to keep up stealth. " His men all nodded. Before stepping down the pathway Julius reached onto his back and handed the Curse Rifle to the living magic tool. Now that the gun was free from his back he reached into his backpack and pulled out his magoi blade and fitted it to his belt. It was time to move now that gear had been dished out a bit. Julius went down first leading his group followed by Yurameshi and Jack then the rest of the group. He did not want Lagi's men to die for no reason.

The Khan would look at the pair as they spoke, listening to them both without a word as she held her stance, and once they were finished she would stand up and shake her head as she whispered to herself for a moment before speaking back to them. "Well I'm a little interested in how you plan on bringing it under one banner if you do succeed, but my people will always fight for their own freedom, and don't forget the alliance will have to discuss its interests when this is all over."

She spoke to Gilgamesh first, once having heard who he was knowing somewhat about him, and Zubaidah since she was on the commission of the alliance herself and was aware of every group and individual that was offered to join the alliance. She walked around them both as if he was taking in their appearances and then would stop back where she had started putting her whip away.

"I was here trying to find a way deeper for the artifact myself, but I only had time to check that cell before a skull dropped on me from a hanging corpse." She would stop to turn to Zub this time as she continued her sentiments. "Seems odd for you to make comments on my appearance with your own, but we both know it doesn't matter how pretty or ugly someone is in a fight, just what you do."

As Knux went down deeper into the hole he would hear a few noises, at first, it was just the sound of the rocks crumbling and falling into tiny debris around him as their feet would shift on the ground. However, it would soon enough turn into more as he would hear the sound of water? It would trickle at first but then soon enough turn into a heavy steady flow that would sound as if it were coming from the walls next to him.

Although that wouldn't be the end of it as he came up to the mouth of the tunnel and soon enough a small light could be seen coming around the bend, with a few small whispers too. It all sounded like the same voice and while there was no response they seemed to have a bit to say as they kept making small mumbling to themselves.

As this would become clear from the opening of the tunnel after a few moments he would see that there seemed to be another hall at the other end, he wouldn't be able to see who was beyond there at first but he could see smooth polished walls and a sconce burning brightly with an oddly crimson flame. All he had to do was turn the corner and see what lay beyond, friend or foe, it seemed a if he as getting closer to whatever secrets this place held.

Without hesitation, Julius motioned to the light source for one of the Tartarus men to hold. He was not sure who hall had the natural ability to see in the dark as they were all pretty much different breeds of Dungeon Beast besides Jack who was a living magic tool, and Yurameshi who was just a normal human who Julius had gifted the ring to after getting it.  They were not upon where the light was coming from just yet nor did they have eyes upon whoever was down here but each member readied themselves for whatever may lie ahead. Julius himself gather his magoi and started to flow it as he had done throughout his training, feeding it throughout all his body to each bone preparing to cast a spell if he needed to. With each and every person ready to strike they would turn the corner funneling in weapons and spells ready to be cast waiting to see if the target was one of their informants or not if any hostile action would be required Jack would aim the rifle at the person as they rounded the corner and fed magoi into the weapon firing it if it was not a friend.

OOC Info:
If person if not a friendly target Jack will fire the curse rifle using the following function
When magoi is fed into the rifle the right barrel is filled with a dart and the gold trim turns blue. If the dart hits something alive it will catch on fire with blue flames, upon impact these flames will spread up to 1m for 1 post before dying out.
These flames deal A tier of damage.

I’ll take that as a compliment, milady.’ Zubaidah laughed a little, receiving Azar’s remark as positive alone. As she left her and Gilgamesh to converse, should they wish it, Zubaidah began checking the cells as well. She made sure to check for anything out of place, looking over anything out-of-place in case they were hidden entrances and passages.

Did anyone accompany you here?’ Zubaidah was concerned that the Shar chieftain was alone, much less here. It seemed careless for Azar to be inside this fortress without bodyguards, when all forces had converged above ground. After all, it was only a matter of time before more sides joined.

It seemed that the lady Zubaidah was believing Gil to be of some sort of conquest mindset, wishing to tame people. However, that could not be farther from the truth. Gil was to lie silent, not wishing to provoke the woman, for she knew not why the man sought to unite the land, nor his love for Parthevia. Anyhow, the scarfed figure was to scour the cells for hidden clues or perhaps leads on where to go from here. If no such thing existed, Gil had no other choice but to tunnel to the other halls to try and find the path toward that artifact. Gil was to tell the others this:

Gilgamesh: "Anyone notice where to go from here? If not, I will tunnel us towards one of the other halls. Azar, I do not know whether you trust us enough or not, but you are a grown woman. If you wish to come with me and Zubaidah, feel free. It is a mere gesture of kindness, cause your people have been rather kind to me and a friend of mine."

If they ceased to find somewhere to go from here, then Gil was to tap the walls with the clawed tips of his cestus, prepared to activate his ability.

As Julius rounded the corner with his attacks prepared he would find it to be a wise decision, if ultimately a waste of his time. Although there was someone there it would be someone he recognized, someone who was supposed to be there and on his side. A man of Heliohaptian and Magnostadt blood, the Sultan's Vizier. It seemed like he was observing something himself on the wall before he noticed the skeleton had come in.

"Ah, I was told that there should be some members of your nation coming to help me." He seemed rather calm and collected as he responded to the man with a cold indifference that he met most with. "You're the same one that originally came to us with your Overlord's alliance, well I guess it seems he trusts you enough."

With that statement he stopped talking and turned back to what he was looking at along the wall, moving his finger as he mumbled something under his breath. The magician would take a deep breath and turn to walk over to the skeleton rubbing his chin and then looking at who he had brought with him. It seemed like this man often kept himself in his thoughts as if he was playing a game of chess with the universe and was waiting for it to make his move. However, it seemed like he wouldn't wait forever as a light seemed to go off in his head and he turned back around before speaking.

"I see you took the same path I did, but I used a spell to look down both of these paths, now down one there seem to be more paths, but there are also people." He would point to the bath that had been to his left when Julius came in, then he would slowly turn to the other way. "Now from what I gather down this one, it's a single path that leads to a drop, no one else is there, but it could be risky nonetheless."

"Now, I know I'm hitting you with a lot at once, but there are a few parties moving around in here now and I'd like to find any secrets before they do." He said tapping his staff against the ground, waiting for the man to give him his opinion on the situation.

Vizier Ibrahim:

As Azar saw the both of them immediately move into work she gave a small smile to herself, with a small sigh of relief, it was good to have people who knew how to prioritize things she thought. When Zub asked her the question she seemed pained for a second before giving her answer. "No...I came in with two others, we failed a puzzle we found behind a painting and we fell down a slide which separated the three of us."

She would walk over to a space near the entrance they came through, pushing up a sconce the wall moved with it showing a slide that led to wherever she came from. After she seemed satisfied giving them a look Azar would step back once again and scratch her head in a small moment of confusion. "See, I get making a trap to get prisoners, but why three different tunnels and what type of place could they be if this one was the dungeon."

As she spoke she began to pace a bit in place, she was obviously worried about her group she was separated, but would stop her nervous tick to once again focus on the situation. She would walk over to another cell, one of the ones that she hadn't been into yet. It seemed to have nothing as she quickly walked out and then over to one Zubaidah was inside.

"What's that?"
She'd question, something which the other woman would've noticed with her empathy, there was a small tunnel behind the chamberpot in the cell. "Ugh, well I guess that's one way to keep people out of your crap?"

As she made her joke she looked over to the other, and then would look over towards Angelus as she walked from the cell. "Well, I guess there's this, wherever you guys came from, and sorry did you say digging?"
