Profession Title: Information Broker / Master Detective

Description: With connections formed anywhere and everywhere, Zubaidah has one hand in politics and the other in business. She uses those connections to collect and distribute information, earning her favours from individuals and organisations. She does not depend upon her connections, however, since she has found herself expert at information-brokering herself. With time spent in poverty and luxury, she is familiar with all manner of secrets and corruption, making her wary of criminal activity. Indeed, she has honed her investigative skills to such an extent that she has earned the right to call herself a ‘master detective’.

• Nose for Crime:
  Zubaidah has connections high and low, having informants within upper-class society and the underworld alike. She can use these connections to scope out jobs and assignments within her current region, so long as her position within the region is well-grounded. As such, at the end of each month, when she fulfils the conditions for an AC check (four threads in the region she wishes to scope), she may gain some information from that region - but only one region. The requirements and benefits for these connections are as follows:
  
  
  • (D Tier) - she must have a D Tier Company presence in the region / she may investigate one D Tier job or assignment in the same region
    
  • (C Tier) - she must have a C Tier Company presence in the region / she may investigate one C Tier’s worth of job or assignments in the same region (i.e. she could investigate two D Tiers)
    
  • (B Tier) - she must have a B Tier Company presence in the region / she may investigate one B Tier’s worth of job or assignments in the same region
    
  • (A Tier) - she must have a A Tier Company presence in the region / she may investigate one A Tier’s worth of job or assignments in the same region
    
  
  
  
• Sleuth’s Eye:
  Her keen mind fashioned into a sharp tool for investigation, Zubaidah’s senses are sharp and alert. She has a heightened awareness of her surroundings, able to uncover and analyse the most hidden or banal of clues. As such, she may use this advantage to recall small details and piece them together into a larger narrative. This allows her to have a quicker and easier time dealing with criminal cases and other puzzles.
  
  
• Silver Tongue:
  Over the years, Zubaidah has learnt that lies and manipulations are the most useful tools under her belt. She has become skilled with words from palace and slum, stage and street, learning how people talk and respond. Indeed, it has been very useful in dealing with criminals, since she speaks their language, and she has used it to her benefit more than often. This allows her to have an easier time with putting across lies as truth and identifying lies in spoken information.
