After training her Osprey’s Talons ability she had moved on to training her next technique that she had come up with. This time instead of training in the warehouse where she normally trains, she would choose to head towards the plains. The plains were quite a bit more barren and less populated than the warehouse in the city state of Magno. That and the plains would prove to fit her needs for this technique a lot more than the hard floors of magnostadt. For this move she would need ground that was soft enough just for her trail run. Hopefully once she had fully trained this ability she would be able to pierce through any surface no matter how hard.

As for the type of ability she was going to use, she was sticking to the theme of a bird like her others. While she was traveling through the plains towards Magno from Kou she had learned of an owl called the Burrowing Owl. This bird was a type of owl that would dig holes into the ground that would become their nests. Seeing this had inspired her to come up with a technique that would involve burrowing parts of her body through the ground, in this circumstance her hair. She was going to shape out her hair into two separate tendrils that are hardened into spear like tips. These tendrils of hair would drill into the ground beneath her and burrow through the earth towards her target aiming to pier their feet and lock them into place in the earth.

This would be going back to how she originally fought, using her hair as weapons more so than her body itself. However, this would be a bit tricky since this was her basically controlling two separate clusters of hair and manipulating them through the earth. She would begin by attempting to form her hair into the hardened spike like tendrils. This would prove not to be too hard as she had practiced forming her hair into various forms before. It would still require her to take several hours to master this, making sure that they were dense and firm enough to push their way through the tough earth. She would end up taking a break for the rest of the day before going back to training the next day.

The next day she would move on towards training her control over the movements of the hair tendrils. This was something that she had done before but it was only on a very basic and simple level of control and movement. She would begin by just moving her tendrils of hair out straight from her body. She could get the tendrils to reach out about 2 to 3 meters before they began to become shaky and uncontrollable, the combined strands of hair falling apart and coming undone. She would sigh, feeling a bit exhausted from exerting herself like this. Creating solid, stationary weapons from her limbs were one thing, however this was requiring skills she was not entirely used to yet. She would end up repeating this process over and over, each time it would have the same outcome where they collapse and she winds up out of breathe and sweating.  After several hours of training she would get to 5 meters which she felt would most likely be her limit without exerting herself way too much. She would end up taking a break for the rest of the day just like yesterday, starting in full force again tomorrow.

The next step she would repeat what she had done the past two days for the first couple of hours. Then she would go to the next and most important step of her new ability Burrowing Owl’s Grasp. She would harden the tips of her hair tendrils, giving them a series of small grooves to make it easier to drill through the ground. She would begin now by shooting the tendrils down into the ground directly beneath where she is standing. The tendrils would slowly but surely begin to drill through the ground. She found that it was difficult to push her hair through the hard, compacted earth that made the ground she was standing on. However, she would be able to feel the dirt that surrounded the tendrils that she created. She could feel as the particles of sediment that made up the ground were pushed aside so that her tendrils could bore through the earth. This would prove to be quite a bit easier compared to the other tasks to learn this move but it would still take her the course of a full day to complete it to the current max that she could reach. She would smile as she triumphed in yet another step so that she could complete this ability and master it,

Finally she had reached the last step in her process, which would most likely prove to be the most difficult one. She would have a large rock nearby that she would use as her imaginary target. She would repeat all of the steps that she had worked so hard on up to this point. She would separate her hair into 2 tendrils before hardening the tips into grooved drills, then sending them into the ground before the shoot out from the ground piercing into the bottom few inches of the rock. This was where it would become difficult. She would attempt to branch out the individual strands of hair to form a complex root like structure. This was not to deal extra damage but to be able to hold whoever the attack hits in place. However, the body would not just willingly allow the foreign substance to spread throughout it. After several hours of perseverance she was able to complete her masterpiece of an ability.
Once all of this was done she would raise her hands into the air with triumph before falling backwards onto the ground from pure exhaustion. She had done it, the Burrowing Owl's Grasp was fully trained and able for battle use now.
