Job Name: Greedy Bandits
Job Rank: B-Tier
Job Location: Kou Empire
Job Rewards: 200 EXP & 15,000 Huang
Job Overview:
A group of rag-tag thieves known as The Vultures has been targeting small, unprotected villages within Kou during the civil war. Anyone who seems like easy pickings are liable to be attacked by their small group, anything of value stripped before they escape to the next town. They will either attack a harmless villager (who will repay you for saving her) or go after your own person (and upon their defeat, you're free to take their money for the trouble).
Enemy Name: Thieves x6
Rank: B-Tier
Needed damage to take down: B-Tier
Description: Each thief is dressed in black rags and leather, with white bindings around their necks and a red mask of a vulture to protect their identities. They reek of booze, and each one carries a Dao sword or a pair of hook-swords. Their swords deal B-Tier damage and they move at C-Tier speeds.
Abilities:
Double the Trouble: A thief wielding hook swords rushes at their foe, swinging one sword and then another in an X-pattern. Each swipe is a C-Tier attack for a combined total of B-Tier damage.
Dancing Bird: A thief with a Dao sword lunges forwards and thrusts his blade, stabbing a foe for C-Tier damage before swinging the sword for an additional worth of C-Tier damage. Together, the attacks deal B-Tier damage.
Coward's Dance: A thief holds his blade(s) in the air as he nimbly jumps out of the way an incoming B-Tier attack. He's capable of avoiding multiple strikes that add up to B-Tier damage.
The sun dazzled so immensely bright in the sky as it'd fall, twinkling a lake that it had begun to say goodbye to. The day had been coming to a close and Trently would have begun finishing up his rigorous training on a farm. Yet, in the midst of the sun setting and Trently wrapping up his training, a group of thieves known as the Vultures would have begun to make their move. The Vultures' target tonight would be a quiet farm town, the same farm town Trently would have started to finish up his training.
So, now finally with the sun having set, the Vultures would act, and act fast. They didn't want not a soul, not one, knowing they had come in the night until at least the break of dawn. Out from their nests, the Vultures would emerge, diabolically planning their every move for tonight's thieving.
However, sadly for them, The Vultures, they'd not know of the boy known as Trently and who he was. Trently had been a boy who had on many and countless occasions defeated various bandit groups during his travels, so, the Vultures were in for a treat indeed. In spite of Trently being there though, the lad was actually very exhausted from all the training he had been doing as of recent. So, Trently being far too tired and beyond sleepy would prove to be quite beneficial to the Vultures tonight.
As the various bandits would enter the town, they'd begin to scatter. In groups of two, they'd start to target individual houses. Reeking of booze, the bandits would have begun invading houses silently, stealing any valuables they could get their hands on. It wouldn't, however, be until much later into their raid that one of them would be caught in the act. The man who'd have caught one of the Vultures in the act would attack, in fear and anger of having found an intruder in his home. Yet, due to these bandits having been skillfully trained in the art of escape, the bandit would quickly escape through a window and book it running. Not wanting to chase after the bandit, the man would awake the townspeople in order to alert everybody of the enormous robbery that had just gone down. Trently being among the people who had been awoken would begin to look around the room he had been staying in to ensure none of his belongings had been taken. Rest assured, however, his belongings weren't taken, or well at least not all of them. Trently's beloved katana, the same katana he had begun his journey with, and the same one he had received from his grandfather before his death, yeah that katana, it was missing.
"F-fuck! My grandpa's katana! It's gone! I got to get it back or else I won't be able to live myself!" The young and angered boy would shout as he'd storm out the room, ready to ask some questions on where the hell those Vulture guys actually were.
"Aye! So you said this was how long ago again? Also, point me in the direction these guys went! I'll be sure to get our stuff back! No worries old man!" The last standing Yanaihara male, Trently, would have said to the old man. "Oh by my lord! Thank you, sonny boy! This thievery went down about I'd say three hours or so ago! Oh and ah, let us see now, I reckon they went in that direction ya see?" The old man would say as he'd had begun to point out the exact direction he had seen the thieves run off in. As the elderly man would say all this, Trently would have started to unfold a map he had constructed and would begin to pinpoint exactly where on the map he should probably start searching. The lad, Trently, would have come to the conclusion however that, the bandit had not actually run off in the direction the old man had stated but in truth, ran off in the opposite direction of where his group's base would be located in order to confuse the man. Where the old man had said the bandit ran off to would make no sense when looking at the map, as where that would be was well uh, a city actually being torn apart as they speak by Gao Yuan Zu and Yoshiro's factions.
Looking on the map at the opposite direction of where the bandit was stated to have run off in, Trently would be able to pinpoint a forest, an actually very quiet and quaint forest near a mountain. So, Trently had come to the conclusion that the bandit had just run off in the direction in order to just to confuse the old man. "Okay old man! I'm off now, I'm taking my bag and belongings with me and heading over to where I think these bandits ran off to! When I come back, I'll be sure to have all of your town's valuables with me! Let the town know not to worry! I'll be back in a day!" Trently would say to the man before setting out on his mission, hoping to return as soon as possible.
Hopping right onto his Flying Carpet, Trently would burst off at what seemed to the village to be the speed of light. As he'd take flight into the sky, however, he'd get many hands waving goodbye in which he'd respond by smiling ever so brilliantly and then blasting off into the morning sky. The search for this group known as the Vultures would be a certainly annoying and nerve-racking one but after many hours of soaring throughout the day, the night would soon dawn. With no luck not yet in finding where these bandits had gone, Trently would begin to take another look at his map. This time though, he'd take a look at towns that he had previously visited that were nearby. Maybe by looking at what towns were close by Trently would be able to discover the Vultures' next target. So, as Trently'd take a look at the many towns he had plotted down on his map, he'd come to find one town in particular that actually might just be the one. Rocketing away into the direction of this town at the fastest pace magical carpet possible, Trently would have begun to worry a bit.
"Ah! Crap! What if that old man was right!? I would have been wasting my time for nothing! Ah! Yet again, how could those bandits have possibly headed for the city? It's bustling with all kinds of conflict at the moment! Hm, yeah, they can't have gone that way! I just know it!" The truly stressed out boy had said, in slight disagreement with himself at first.
Arriving in this town he had speculated would be targeted next, Trently would hop off his carpet and roll it up, holding it between his torso and left arm. "Ayo! Magic boy! Halt in your tracks and tell me right now, who are you and what do you want with us!?" A young man equipped with a bow and arrow would ask Trently. Immediately upon being demanded to stop, Trently would stop. Raising his hands up in the air and dropping his carpet, Trently would begin to talk. "Oh well uhm you see! I'm just a traveler from actually here in Kou! I've come to ask if your village has been victim to any bandit attacks within the past week or so, I'm hunting them down!" The kind-hearted Trently would ask the angered boy armed with a bow and arrow in hand. "Oh! So you're only here to help? I see! Well then, to answer your question, yes we have been recently attacked! We were attacked the night before yesterday! Our village's leader was able to drive some of the bandits out of town but frankly, it was too late, many of them had already taken our belongings and high tailed outta here! Our leader says the remaining bandits went south over into the mountains!" That same young boy who was once armed in fear of Trently being a bandit would say to Trently, looking happy to see that someone was finally taking action. "Ah! Okay! Understood! I'll be off now! Thank you for the great information by the way! What is your name if I may ask?" Trently had asked the boy who looked to be the same age as he himself was. "Hm? My name? It's Han-Ho!" The boy had told Trently just as he had begun getting on his magic carpet once more. "Alright, Han-Ho! I'll be returning back here either tonight or tomorrow morning with all of your village's valuables! Later!" Trent made sure to tell the boy before flying off to his next destination. The Yanaihara boy's next destination was a town right next to a mountain close by, the same mountain Han-Ho had stated the bandits ran off in the direction of. If Trently's gut feeling was right, then this town he would be headed to next is where his prey would soon strike.
After a few hours of flying, Trently would spot his next destination. Lucky for Trently actually, he'd had caught the bandits he'd been chasing red-handed, just about to raid a town.
Riding atop his magical carpet, Trently would enter the town and proceed to backhand using Lion's Pride the very first bandit he saw. This backhand would cause the bandit to go flying and break a jaw. "Looks like I've arrived just in time! Guess the early bird really does get the worm! Ehehe!" Trently would state as he'd fly up to the man he had just broken the jaw of. "Oi~! Vultures! Boss has just been knocked out! This damned meddling brat wants to ruin our fun it seems! Let's teach em who the Vultures are!" One of the Vultures would have shouted out, calling over his fellow Vultures in the process.
"Say what? You guys call yourselves Vultures yet you probably can't even fly? Are you joking here? Also, why did your guys' sorry ass boss go down so easy?" As Trently'd start questioning these so-called Vultures, he would go onto unbind his Kut's Katana from its sheathing. "Plain and simple, if you can't fly, don't call yourselves anything that can fly! Tsk tsk! I would know because I'm both the Blue Bird and the Smiling Swordsmen ya know!" Trently'd exclaim, smiling ever so faintly upon these group of bandits.
"Shut the fuck up kid! Do you want my fist down your throat!? Aye fellas, let's show this kid who the hell he's dealing with!" The initial Vulture who had called his comrades over would cry out. All at once the Vultures would attack. Surrounded on all sides, Trently would end up in quite the pickle. However, the art of battle came second nature to Trently.
"Dancing Flock!" The Vultures would all say in unison as they would lunge at Trently. Yet, in spite of the grave danger in which Trently was in at this moment, he'd persevere. "Hikari Tori~! The self-titled bird would scream out, encasing his body and weapons in a golden shell of magoi. Blocking his foes' abilities, Trently would smile wide and clear for his foes, then proceed to use his own bird dance.
"Dansu Toru~!" Spinning his magical carpet at A-Tier speeds in a 360 motion, Trently would use Dansu Toru.
The five remaining Vultures wounded, ready to pass out, Trently would go up to one of them and kneel down on one leg.
"Kekeheh! Now where the fuck is my and everybody else's shit bitch ass!?" Yanaihara Torento had angrily yelled in the Vulture's face, smacking his face into the ground until he decided to reveal the whereabouts of the stolen valuables.
So at long last, after many bashings into the ground, the Vulture would have begun to speak. Once the Vulture had spilled the beans, Trently would be on his way. Reaching the whereabouts of the stolen valuables, Trently would gather them all up, throw it up on his carpet, and head back to the many villages and towns who had been stolen return them in the process.
It'd take quite a while for him to finish up returning everything but it would be truly worth it in the end. Every town he had returned the valuables to would end up giving him a small sum of huang which after finishing up returning the stolen valuables, would net him a total of 15k huang for his efforts and troubles. Oh and also, not only that but he was also able to get his grandpa's katana back, thank god.
