This would be the last time he would go to war. Fighting wasn't his forte, but neither was being a coward in the face of battle. His eyes losing its glare a cold gaze. Yating, had taken off before him. Leaving the conversation at a weird place. Standing to his feet. Aseo couldn't believe it. He could see it or better to say it outloud. A cold sweat dripping from the right side of his forehead; looking at the rukh he saw made him sweat. A solider from, Sun Liang guard had charged in first for battle. That's when the first time Aseo saw the lightning lash across the field with the arrow. In fear reacting on instinct jabbing his cane into the ground " Medis Sienų ". Adrenaline and shock drived him to pour more Magoi out.

Wood intertwined spouted from the ground. Sparks would collide with the harden wood. Lightning was something he disliked and feared. Someone had it weaponized? That thought left him unease. A cloud of smoke rised from the shield of wood. Fright might've been obvious making him look weak. Searching the skies he'd spot Sun Liang like he found the answer, only to ask questions. " Sir Liang, do you have the clairvoyance magic? If you do I have a idea that may be handy. " yelling above in the direction of his commander / tactician. Aseo notice a couple soldiers coming at him from each direction; about five of them 6 meters away. Aseo knew he could defeat them. Breathing steadily. Placing his arms out like a greeting; kneeling with the gesture as he heard the soldiers yell. This gave Aseo their positions as they came to swing through the smoke clouds from the excess lighting.  Aseo drew five syringes from his inner sleeve. Two soldiers back to back were in site. Positioned on the fore finger and ring, with a powerful flick , two syringes flew towards the eyes. If they hit the two would begin to have blood clotting in the eye then stomach issues immobilizing them.

Three more. Aseo watched as the in-experience soldiers swung around making it simple to attack in a close range. Jumping to the side and bringing his knee to meet the metal chest plate. Aiming to crack the chest plate and put him out of condition. If it wasn't enough to finish the one soldier he grabbed and threw him towards another two whether he landed on the ends of the swords or not. If they had only feel on one another he would swoop over them picking up their own weapons to slay and stab them while their down. Turning to the sky, still on edge.

" Sir Liang, If you can hear me could you request for are soldiers to push them back down the moutain or at least secure one exit! I have a plan in mind that would be to our advantage. Since we have the higher ground, I believe a water or wind spell can blow them back down or turn the tide to our favor. Sir Liang, I place my judgement in you for your advice and feedback. " Aseo yelled out to the flying Sun Liang.

Jabbing his cane into the ground next. Underneath the cane begun to ooze a gaseous green fog. This was the first time Aseo would use the ability, but he thought it would be beneficial. If anyone is in contact with the fog they would begin to feel heavy and slow down for the time. " Sir Liang, could you rely a message if you have clairvoyance magic. Mentally tell the fellow soldiers to stray away from the fog! It'll help change the tide of this battle. ". A worried expression on his face. Some of the others may be caught in the spell and slow down or even become stuck. ' This hopefully goes over well. Sun Liang, doesn't seem all too concerned on the battle field. But hopefully he doesn't get anger at my decision as I'm looking in the best interest of getting through that surpise attack without much bloodshed unless... unless someone is stupid enough to spark the fog.... I should've told Sun Liang that. But there could be a enemy listening. If they hear what I said to Sun Liang it could be bad to know about the slime magic highly explosive nature. ' Aseo thought to himself. The fog moving six meters around the battlefield getting larger.

One thing for sure, is finding the magician who enhanced the weapon from early. He or she had perked and scared Aseo's interest and mind. Other then seeing the arrow he didn't see who enhanced it, but the bow man was clear to notice. Hope again. Sun Liang has thought about stopping he magician that did the enhancement. Keeping his hand over the cane it would be drawing close for the fog to begin turning into slime.

Diana listened to what the man had to say. He mentioned the enemy utilizing wild beasts in combat in the past. She took a mental note of this as he continued on. There was a certain amount of pity she held for this man; like the many others that accompanied her in this task. Her eyebrows lifted in intrigue as soon as he stated that a certain decision was made behind the emperor's back. But before he could continue, another interrupted him. There was something fishy going on and she was determined to find out. Diana would shoot a judgemental glare over at the soldier who butted into their conversation. She smiled kindly at the man she was talking to; saying her good wishes after the horn sounded. "Good luck to you as well. May you ancestors protect you." It was time for her resolve to steel itself.

The army began to move slowly, creeping towards enemy. Diana took particular notice of a certain part of the army that fought like animals. This excited her but Blackwood ended up steering away from them. Perhaps for good measure. It was dissappointing but they suddenly began to sprint. Through a defensive line they ran. Pluto had gotten particularly excited and began to run in with them. Diana did not mind at all. He leaped through the air, claws extended. The gargantuan canine landed with the intent to kill anything under his paws. Once landed, he leaped back, swiping his claws attempting to rend into the two soldiers who dared stab at him. There were a few small cuts along his rough hide but nothing to incapacitate the beast. Diana slipped off her mount and skillfully unsheathed her katana, slashing at the remaining man that tried to assault them. The men around her wore little armor. This made her think as to what was really in those boxes.

Music Resounding "Gao Yuan Zu!" and "Yoshiro Zu!" over the field in which they dueled, their blades blaring "Ting, Tang!" as they chug on, those of Gao Yuan Zu and those of Yoshiro. Thundering on above, a bolt jut down to the earth and then, it vanished. In before he harmed his foe, the tooth edged foe had began to profusely, and I say profusely sweat on that of his hands. Loosening his grip on the blade due to his sweaty hands, the toothed edged foe had not yet been ready for Trently's lunge. As he drew his foe's blood, Trently heard him screech at the top of his lungs, it ate at his soul for he, Trently had now begun a bloodbath.

Enhancing the force behind his blade by tenfold, the Magic Tool in which he had been given had began to twist and turn under his skin. To be honest, Trently had not been exactly loving of this Magic Tool, however, Trently had to deal with it, whether he enjoyed it or not. Biding by what Trently had told them, the two beside Trently had went for the four next to Trently's tooth edged foe. Painted in a red hue, Meinu dwelt in Trently's left hand as the tip of the blade drip blood. As it had done so, Trently's tooth edged foe had found Trenty's bandaged arm in which hid the Magic Tool that had been forced onto him, Trently.

“What is the meaning of this? Not a single soldier here looks like they should have such strength, but…”

"Gather! Gao Yuan Zu! Raise the flags! We are to force ourselves in! Greasy! Hairy! You done? If ya are, let's dive in headfirst, huh!?" Yelping aloud as his foe had now dove back. As his foe had left his range, he heard it faintly yet he heard it, his tooth edged foe had been onto him in regards to his Magic Tool that hid under his bandages.

"Aye Toothy! Who told you this is the end of us, eh!? As he found his foe flee, he badgered him to no end's rest. However, in his foe's stead, a man adorned in a red armor enters in on the fray.

“So, son of Kasai. Show me just what you can do.”

"Out the way! I have no time for you!" Angered that his foe had left, the boy had jet his Magoi into Meinu. Unleashing it's function, the blade had begun to act on it's own. Vibrating the blade had looked to be doing, however, that had not been the case. It let out a "Solar Flare" that had distort Chen's vision, thus, he had not lunged at Trently but instead at his own self. During the "Solar Flare", Trently had both eyes shut.

"Is it your turn!?" Glaring at Chen's friend, Trently held Meinu and Kutter's Katana in both hands. As he burst for him, the boy held Meinu out as if he lunged, yet, in his other hand, Trently had activate the blade known as "Kutter's Katana". Instantly, an edge of air had been blown out of the blade. It's aim being for the man's arm.

Her initial plan was a success. They had caught the enemy off guard. However how one man took to the sky in particular startled her. by doing that he made himself in easy target but he just as easily deflected the attacks that came his way. Lestacia would notice 3 soldiers in particular get wound. They laid there dying upon the ground as the young man shouted upwards. Lestacia's Eye's grew wide the men were luckily at the 20ft radius of herself but seeing lives she could save was not sitting well with her deep down.

"I'VE GOT YOU! FIELD OF SERENITY! She cried stabbing her wand down. Luckily the men's wounds were healing. They were still wounded but ready as ever to fight as well as the majority of Lestacia's entire Army. More of them were within the radius than their enemies were. She'd turn away and find Tsunko. He was farther in the fight than she was. She moved from the middle place of the healing aura and found Tsunko fighting towards the rim. She had almost lost track of him. This war made u lose track of people fast. There were a lot of soldiers around them so she gripped his gear tightly  Before stabbing her staff into the ground.

"Tsunko whatever you do not attack the trees." She'd say softly to him but it would reach his ears. "Sleeping Forest!" Lestacia had produced one of her biggest spells right out of the starting gate. The trees sprouted immediately, blocking all light from the outside as the enemy forces had tried to push through. The spell would sprout around Aseo too if he wasn't careful to back up about a good 10 meters. The trees sprouted almost immediately covering a good half of the healing field and a good portion of the high-ground. All light vanished from around them, but Lestacia could still see the sparks dancing off of Tsunko's armor that she casted. They were still in good use. One soldier of the enemy was stupid enough to hit one of the tree's triggering the tree to attack its enemy and repair itself. It locked a good number of his stamina away as he panicked in  fear. Screaming in the madness of the forest. Luckily Tsunko was Lestacia's Light source so she was easily able to guide him towards the high-ground and out of the forest. "That should protect us for a bit. Common sense says they'll try and retreat. I don't suggest we chase them because they could turn on us at any moment. Also sorry for the rough treatment I wanted to make sure you didn't get caught within it alone." With that said Lestacia Pointed a wand toward the man in the Sky. "I overheard one of the soldiers yelling towards him. It looks like that is their leader. Not to mention a strong magician. I've blinded a lot of their forces so I think they'd be wary to attack my field with a spell that hits a wide area for a bit. Not if they want their forces to be useless. Stay on your toes and lets take the high ground. We should take the lot of them out before the man up there makes his move. Anyone smart enough to notice us will give us cover. However you have nothing to worry about I'll keep you alive until back up comes. She stood in front of Tsunko keeping her eyes on the man still flying in the air watching and waiting for the right time to strike. She held her staff in front of her as she prepared for battle if any enemies had noticed her and Tsunko appear from the dark forest to their side.

Spells still in effect and Magoi/Stamina:

S T A F F
ANNOUNCEMENT

This battle will fully resume on Thursday, June 1st due to complications with figuring out what is happening with a fill in for a lost member to the posting crew (yes, still). We're giving it a few days to sort it out and give time to write the last section.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience we have caused you with this event so far. It's been an up and down roller coaster ride but I can only pray we will learn from our experiences and let it run a lot smoother in the future.

The cries of battle echoed throughout the sky as blood and sweat flooded the air. On the battlefield, a group of soldiers approached crates strewn conspicuously about the ground. As members of Yoshiro’s army approached the crates, shrieks of pain pierced the ears of friend and foe. As the rush of battle settled, out rose children from the fight, tearing soldiers limb from limb with wanton abandon. Carnage enveloped the warzone, the stench of blood and organs thick and heavy in the air. The children that erupted from the crates around the battlefield set their sights on the soldiers, their movement crooked and disjointed as if they lost control of their own bodies. Members of Yoshiro’s army fell back to avoid the onslaught of the children and Gao Yuan Zu’s army pushed forward, using the crazed children as a vanguard. Despicable as though it may be, the children proved to overpower Yoshiro’s forces, showing no fear or regard for their life outside of the fight.

Voices cried out in the distance calling for soldiers to murder the children, their bodies killing as though they were possessed by some demonic force. The calls for bloodshed alerted the surrounding soldiers in the area. The criminals and ruffians conscripted into Yoshiro Zu’s army were slaughtered by the raving mad children. The crashing of swords clanging together snapped Diana back into reality as the soldiers around her were in the midst of war. Several soldiers caught a glimpse of the silver-haired maiden in the crowd and rushed after her, hoping she was an easy target to pick off in the ensuing battle. Two of the enemy soldiers lunged toward the swordswoman, their swords aimed directly at her chest. They were rather unskilled, it appeared, as if they were newly conscripted into the army as well. Two other soldiers saw this opportunity to overpower Diana and also rushed toward her, this time with no finesse, but rather with wild movement as their swords hung above their faces were painted with bloodlust and intensity. Without rhyme, reason, or an apparent plan, the soldiers surrounded the warrior maiden with ease, leaving the four rushing swordsman gunning for her with no feasible position to retreat to.

“Oy! Little miss...why don’t you say we avoid this and you can come with us, eh?” One of the ruffians grunted at Diana. His voice matched his appearance--a man with a face that could frighten children and disgust anyone who had the misfortune of looking upon it. It was clear the war at hand wasn’t being fought by anyone except hardened criminals. Were they given a pass and let out of prison to fight in this war? Would this war atone for their crimes? Or were they just expendable forces that both Gao Yuan Zu and Yoshiro Zu used as cannon fodder. Regardless, Diana found herself in a tricky predicament.

However, just beyond her current position, in the distance away from her surroundings, by a small encampment lay a conspicuous crate in the distance. For a moment, it shook violently before the movement stopped. Enemy and ally soldiers appeared to avoid the crate as they cut each other down. The crate shook violently again, this time tipping the crate over to have it burst open, revealing a red-haired child pop out from the crate. In the child’s hand they held a magnificent looking sword in their hand. A curious sight, indeed.
Enemies for Diana:

Tsunko was happy that Lestacia stayed close by and didn't stray too far. However, the woman that may have pushed them to victory had also placed them all in a horrid situation. While her healing spores granted their dying units a new breath of life, the forest she generated with her magic placed them into a tough situation. There was also a thick mist spreading along their ranks that soon turned into a goopy substance. Most of the soldiers on the field were covered in it, even the enemy. Thankfully, it hadn't reached Tsunko nor Lestacia as they were behind the safety of the pathway so there was no need for Lestacia to lead them anywhere. More and more soldiers poured into the small opening from his side, flooding down the other exit. His men were winning in sheer numbers but they all faced horrible circumstances. Many of them accidentally hit the trees, leaving everyone in the surrounding areas feeling exhausted.

The soldiers that had assaulted Aseo were quickly dispatched of but it wasn’t the end. He would find himself surrounded yet again by five more. Blinded by rage and the desperation to live, they attacked relentlessly. Aseo would find himself having a lack of time between waves of men that charged him. His words seemed to not reach Liang but he was certainly noticed. A sadistic smile formed from his lips as he watched the onslaught. All the men caught in the trees slowly began to drop; one by one into deep slumbers. Their sweat poured down their face and through their armor. The feeling of overexertion gripped their lives in its clutches. But there were more men that poured into the opening, carelessly trampling over the bodies below them. Pools of blood formed into what seemed like a lake. It seeped into and above the dirt and rocks leaving a gruesome sight.

There was not much any of them could do. Tsunko was determined to get to better ground. It wasn’t safe here. Not for her. He grabbed Lestacia roughly by her arm and dragged her past the river of soldiers that flowed aside them. Without thought he blew a whistle that was fastened around his neck. His beast came flying down into the canyon path; just enough to be in arm's reach. He switched his grip to around her waist and grabbed onto the avian’s talons. With swift movements, he managed to lift her up onto the bird’s back. “Hold on and stay there,” he said as he let go of the talon only to have the bird lift him from the back of his armor. He drew his bow once more, the crackles of lightning bouncing off his body. Before anyone could warn him about the flammable dangers of the slime covering some of the soldiers, he fired.

Electric sparks exploded from the arrow upon impact into one of the many bodies that were still standing. Aseo would see his body convulse for a moment before all the slime around him began to conduct the shocks coming from his body. In mere seconds, the slime let off a huge explosion that tore through the rock surrounding it. Aseo would be suddenly blinded by a bright light and in mere seconds be falling. If he looked below him, there would only be the vast grasslands below. However, there was ample time to catch himself, if he could. He could hear faint maniacal laughter coming from the mad strategist and see his face looking down at him he fell. The same demonic grin that he had seen before. The face of a traitor. Perhaps, something more.

“It seems you’ve done my work for me, boy.”

These were the words he would hear as he fell. They would echo in his mind along with a booming laughter. With a swipe of his fan, Liang sent powerful winds down at everyone who was falling. Even if Aseo began to fly, it would only soften his descent onto the plains. But it would be enough not to hurt or kill him. However, he would find any of his exposed skin with first degree burns. All of the poor men who fell would now be mush on the grass besides him. The sight would be horrific to even the most experienced of soldiers. But just like that, Liang had vanished into thin air. As if the wind carried him away itself. The men upon the mountain would all have died from the explosion whether they fell or not. Their bodies were unidentifiable now; mostly covered by boulders and debris.

Tsunko cursed under his breath. His stupidity has cost him countless lives yet again. There was this underlying hatred for things he couldn’t explain. Magic. It had disgusted him ever since that day. The thought of it made the wounds around his eye pulsate with pain. He was running out of arrows. But the sight of Liang made him uneasy. The man didn’t do anything to save his comrades and he had still managed to vanish out of sight. It was frustrating but perhaps he was on their side after all. Or perhaps… on his own. The later notion was horrifying. A magician of such power needed to be put down. Regardless of intention. Silence would befall the two, only the wind and flapping of wings for them to hear. Part of him was worried. Her value of life was strong and yet he managed to kill dozens in one gesture. His recklessness cost tons of lives back into the rukh. “Forgive me,” he muttered, only to ask for her forgiveness and perhaps that of those he had slain.

"Out the way! I have no time for you!" Chen’s angered foe would yell out, pointing a strange and vibrating blade his way. The Smiling Swordsman couldn’t help but feel bewildered as the blade before him contained an indescribable color that rapidly shimmered up and down the base of it. He was far too late to sense the true danger held within Trently’s magical sword. He could only watch as the boy’s eyes closed shut and the blade’s shimmer expanded into a magnificent “solar flare”. It was as if needles were suddenly shoved into his eyes. The pain from the flash, and the blindness that came soon after. He couldn’t help that his body began to move on it’s own, forcing his hands to clasp around his burning sockets.

However, Trently’s assault wasn’t over, just yet. Without Chen’s knowing, he had a second attack to worry about. An extremely sharp wave of razor magic being sent his way. Even with him stumbling about in his previous attack, Chen wasn’t going to lose his life from this powerful magic. Instead, he was going to act upon the position he was forced into. He had learned many things from his first master, one of them being; how to adjust to your surroundings. Lessening one of his five senses and combining its strength with another. In this case, he would stop relying on his vision, entirely. He would then carry on fighting by his sense of hearing. Disregarding his stinging eyes, Chen would drop down to the ground by bending the back of his knees, his head touching the bloodied ground below. He had heard the razor magic cutting through the air, so he took his chances and would dodge in this manner.

The blade of razor wind would continue past him, slicing through the legs of a stray soldier of Yoshiro’s. Chen couldn’t help but cringe as he heard the sound of the poor man scream out in pain. This would only heighten his anger towards Kasai’s son. He had been given orders to not kill the boy, but he wasn’t going to risk the life of another. From this moment on, he would begin fighting the boy seriously. Picking himself up off the ground, he had heard the shuffling of feet all around him. Detecting Trently’s exact location was going to prove near impossible. However, he was confident that he could come out on top. Unsheathing his blade once again, he would stop and begin listening in. It was then that his own blade began to vibrate. A strange melody could be heard coming from it.

The Smiling Swordsman, that was what he was called. He had obtained this title from his blade. It was a sword that was capable of producing the most soothing of music. A strange power indeed, but it had more uses than just that. It also had the power of immense destruction, the power to seek out it’s enemy and end their life in an instant. The first of his his melodies is what he would use against Trently, the hymn of disorientation. The song coming from his blade was quite unusual, almost as if it was performed by some kind of amateurish musician. The tempo was off-beat and continued to drone in the ears of who he deemed a foe, which was the son of Kasai and the two men fighting by his side. Trently and his soldiers would soon feel these effects, losing their balance completely. It was as if their directions had been reversed. With Trently dazed by this power, he would find his enemy closing in on him. Chen was walking in his direction slowly, his eyes still closed from Meinu’s light magic.

“Come with me, and we shan’t have any issues.”

As the battle continued on, the more she realized what she had gotten herself into. Her once white clothes were now covered in the blood she had spilled. The smell of dirt and bodily fluids mixed around in her nose; the shouts and clashing of metal echoed in her ears. She had only got a moment of peace before four men came running at her with swords in hand. They were blind with rage and desperation, striving to live. To fight or die a miserable death with their faces in the mud. Their movements seemed so slow compared to her trained eyes and fast reflexes. All she did was simply duck under their swords in an attempt to let them kill each other. She then used her katana and swept the blade across their legs, aiming to sever them.

Pluto was still rather preoccupied, attempting to feast on anything in his path. The beast had no morals or restraints unlike his master. He lived in the moment. It was what he was bred for and to kill was how he was raised. Despite her conditioning, Pluto was as feral as he would be in the wild. His trust and obedience only lying in the woman who fed him. In some way, this experience brought them closer. Diana was exhausted. Her sense of justice and righteousness didn't apply here and she realized that. Anyone whom assaulted her was an enemy. With her sense of self depleting. She too would become a beast. Every face began to look the same.

A voice rang out to her with a raunchy statement. The man went ignored as she began to walk towards a peculiar scene in the distance. Children? Did these leaders know no mercy for their people? However, they looked drugged and acted as if they were feral beasts. Despite the danger, it was worth checking out. There also had seemed to be a single crate left. It shook violently for a few moments until out came a red haired child. The sword he held had the same glint of light she had noticed before. To have such a small child wield a weapon like that, he had to be inhuman. Perhaps he was like herself? While she had heard of her kind being enslaved, she hadn't seen it before.

Diana was determined to figure out what was with these children. Out of the sea of soldiers, they were the only ones worth trying to spare. No matter how dangerous the task may have be. She stood her ground, waiting patiently for them to reach her location. Judging by the way she was fighting, it wouldn't take long. A short whistle ensured that Pluto knew to stay nearby. She rolled her shoulders back and kicked at the dirt below her feet. Her weapon returned to it's sheath yet her hands were ready to draw if she needed it. However, a bit of brute force would allow her to assess the situation quicker.

Music As the boy sent out that razor of air from his blade, he had been positive that his victory had been assured as his foe's vision had become impaired by Meinu's Shine Away. There is no way that he can dodge it is what Trently had bethought, yet his foe had proven him wrong.

"A-aye!? How the fuck you do that!?"

Exclaimed Trently as his jaw drop unhinged. To be hit by both his Magic Tools is deadly indeed Trently knows, so how is it that his new foe of his has not lost yet. On that day, the day he had been found in Gao Yuan Zu's tent, he had been told this.

”Listen well, boy. There are no heroes in war. Only demons. When you participate in the upcoming battle, you will come to understand this.”

Thus, he had now understood Gao, not a lot but just a bit now. Those who are here are not human whatsoever, and now Trently, he too is becoming less human. Just that razor of air alone, it severed anyone and everyone in it's path though it had been for Chen.

"Ah, so be it! If you're a demon, then I'm a demon too!"

Holding his blades up, the boy had been ready to take this foe on, using every inch of his might.

"Lets go! Heh! Kekekeh!"

It had become clear to Trently now, his foe is using his sense of hearing in order to dodge and locate his whereabouts. In order to defeat his foe, Trently knew he had to confuse him but how. As his foe's blade had begun to vibrate, just how Meinu did, Trently grasped onto the Feather Paper inside his kimono. Yet, a sound had begun to enter in on the boy's ears, it's origins tracing back to that foe of his and the ominous blade he weld.

"Huh!? What is this melody..."

Upon having heard the song, the boy let go of the Feather Paper he had grasped onto and left it inside his kimono, for now. Those who heard the tune had their senses fucked, Trently had to do something quick about this now or else he'd die young and leave his dream as just that, a dream.

“Come with me, and we shan’t have any issues.”

"Aye! Listen bitch! Stay back!"

As he'd draw near to the boy, Chen would notice how scared Trently had become just by the tone of his words. However, the boy had an idea on what to do, and he'd execute his idea as so.

Using the blade known as "Kutter's Katana", Trently began to perform the "Dansu Toru" once Chen entered his range.

"Take this you son of a-!"

Aseo had tried to get his words to be carried by the wind. To no ends Sun Liang hadn’t heard him. Thinking quickly he surrounded himself with magoi. Strength magic to be exact. His slime magic had gone throughout the battlefield. Taking on both sides. But that something else appeared. What had appeared was trees spitting some sort of gas. It wasn’t looking well with both that and the fog of slime magic on the battlefield. Aseo made his movement fast in his short amount of time. Flying from the ground where the first batch of defeated soldiers laid; more anger soldiers had taken their place. But it was too late. He had taken into the air to get away from his own slime and the tree gases.

‘  What sort of magician uses trees to spit gas? I must locate Yating, before things get worst. ‘ Aseo thought to himself. Soaring higher into the air. Tossing and twisting his head around to look for Yating. Throw the shadows of trees he couldn’t see anything. Sun Liang, had flown further away. The enemy with the bow from before looked like he was up to no good. Electricity cracked through the air.  The crackling made his ears ring. However that wasn’t the issue. In mere seconds Aseo was blinded, but his fear. The archer from Gao’s side had ignited the slime which wrecked havoc. “ Damn… IT! ” He was overtaken by the light and loud laughter. Strong gust of wind threw him down. It was all happening too quickly. Gladly he didn’t lose his cane while this happened.

Heat from the explosion entered his lungs. Making his chest tight. Most of his hair and clothing charred and some light burn wounds from the combustion. His left forearm turned red. What was worse was the scenery. “ SUN LIANG!! CURSE YOU FOR YOUR BETRAYAL!!!! “ he screamed through the ash and bodies. Haven’t Sun Liang vanished, Aseo might have attempted to fight him. That was his least concern. Harsh breathing as he tossed and turned to look for Yating. Both sides were at a large loss, and some survived. Yating was his concern though. Aseo begin to scurry from the ground in a swift burst of speed; flying to look for him. Holding his cane "Žydintys Rožių" against the burnt wounds to begin healing them as he flew in search. If he was able to locate Yating, and he wasn’t severely hurt by the explosion Aseo would stay by his side healing himself first to hear what Yating has to say, or at least looking around to see if any enemies were nearby besides the one on the ‘Large Bird’.

The soldiers’ swords clashed with impressive force as the assailants collided with each other, their bodies falling into each other’s weapons as they fell to the earth, but not before the silver-haired maiden sliced at their legs, taking the wind from their legs as gravity pulled them to the ground.

“You bitch! I’ll gut you!” A soldier yelled through the dirt, his teeth stained yellow and brown from decay and dirt. He reached for his sword, hoping to find enough to slice at his enemy, but all he could muster was a few more stretches of his arm before he gave out and the blood emptied from his lifeless carcass. The soldiers were dispatched quickly and cleanly by Diana, lying still on the ground as a tiny mountain of rotting flesh.

Off in the distance, the thunderous cries of pain and agony echoed as the raving mad children tore through soldiers, knowing no alliance to either army. In particular, one rushed toward the area where the silver-haired maiden stood, the child’s body galloping across the war torn field on all fours, as if it were completely taken over by feral instinct. Dozens of soldiers in Yoshiro Zu’s and Gao Yuan Zu’s army attempted to swipe at the child soldier, hoping to exterminate it, yet they did not succeed. Instead, the Fanalis child made quick work of the conscripts, tearing limb from their body and brutally bludgeoning their bodies until they were unable to move. Their necks were crushed with the might of the mightiest Fanalis warriors, striking fear into the surrounding soldiers and leaving them on the defense, fleeing the immediate area where the child resided.

Not before long, the child brought its gaze over to Diana. For some reason, whether it be chance or some divine providence, and stood up from its quadruped stance. The Fanalis child was suddenly brought into the realm of humans for a brief second before reverting to its more primal state, dropping back down to the ground and rushing toward the warrior. It rushed toward her, the child’s mouth frothed with rage as it reared its claws and grew faster with each stride. It was faint, but you could hear a faint, rumbling growl from the child. It didn’t sound quite menacing, almost equivalent to a whimper, but to anyone looking at the beast-like child, it sounded only like the sounds of a rabid animal.

All around him was a still silence. The large bird that held two of his enemies was now long out of sight. The young magician would soon find Yating, not too far from where he had fallen. His golden blonde hair shimmered in the sunlight, seemingly untouched by the field of blood that surrounded him. If Aseo got a closer look at the man, he would see that Yating was barely hanging on. His body was severely burnt and his armor merged with his flesh from the searing heat that enveloped him before. It was a miracle that the man had even survived the fall. The crumbling debris around him implied that a rock broke his fall. Yating wearily reached out for Aseo, his eyes so swollen they would barely open. If it weren't for the strands of golden locks that were still attached to his head, he'd be unrecognizable. His hands were as warm as the blood that dripped down his fingertips. As a magician, it was clear to see that his body was returning to the rukh. They flocked around him, waiting for him to leave this world behind.

"Aseo..."

A raspy, pained voice escaped from his mouth. He began to hack up the blood that had been pooling in the back of his throat. Yating tried to lift himself up but the pain was too much to bare. His screams echoed and the skin melded into his armor began to peel. He gritted his teeth, hyperventilating, his crimson saliva leaking from the crevices.

"How... could he..? Stop him... please..."

The hand that was extended went limp. His breathing was more ragged and softer than it was before. He was dying. No matter how much he tried to heal the man, between the blood loss and prior damage to his organs, his end was inevitable. Any healing would just ease his pain as his body slowly shut down. Aseo could see in his fading eyes that he was in as much shock and horror as he felt. The confusion as to why their teacher would betray them. A kind man turned into a stranger of darkness. Yating felt like he was staring into a neverending light. His eyelids flickered as he let out his last breath. Aseo would see the rukh flutter off into the skies, never to be seen again. He looked peaceful, as if he was sleeping. Pain no longer burdened the man that lied before him. A gust of wind blew past and it felt as if it was calling to Aseo. It beckoned him to come closer. Perhaps that is where he would find the traitor, Liang.

Upon taking up arms, Trently would find himself in a heap of trouble. As he was about to use “Dansu Toru”, he would find himself kneeling before his enemy. His legs trembling, not out of fear, but due to every single nerve in his body working against him. Chen’s sword was unlike anything Trently had faced before, as it launched a seemingly unavoidable attack against anything in its path. However, the way the blade functioned was in fact a weakness in its own self. Its melody was widespread, affecting even the man’s own allies within a fifteen-meter radius. The one way to counter this was if he were to prepare beforehand, alerting all who was around him. Unfortunately for him, this was not the case this time. Ally and foe alike, everything near Chen fell prey to his melody. Their movement reversed, all senses unbalanced. It was as if everyone suddenly had a horrible case of vertigo.

“Now then, I’ve finally got you where I want you…” Chen would say in a low-tone of voice, wielding his large blade above his head. The shadow of the blade casted upon Trently, as if an omen of death. The Smiling Swordsman, as he was called, had a large grin stretched across his face. Strangely enough, it was not menacing in the least. More like, if he had just received a wonderful present on his day of birth. As the blade began to hammer down towards Trently’s limp body, a thunderous voice would echo throughout the battlefield.

“Do not forget your mission, Chen of the Smiling Blade. I hired you for a reason, this, this is not what you were meant to do.” The booming voice was filled with various emotions. Whoever this man was, it was clear he had been heavily burdened by war.

Though Chen’s death-strike was halted by this voice, the ringing from his blade did not. The vibrations from it were every-growing, intensifying within Trently’s ear drums. The boy was feisty, but even that had its limits. His vision continued to blur, losing sight of the battle before him. However, this was not a sign of weakness. Trently was an incredibly lucky soul. He would be the first person to had ever escaped The Smiling Swordman’s song, even if by coincidence.

“Rise up, your battle is not yet over.” The familiar voice was enough to bring Trently back to his senses. After a good minute of being in a half-conscious state, the boy would rise back to his feet in a cold sweat. Before him, was the face of someone he knew. A powerful war-scarred man of the same blood. It was, Kasai Yanaihara. His own flesh-and-blood father. Next to him, were two powerful-looking soldiers with veils covering their faces. Directly in front of him, was Trently’s opponent from before, Chen. His scabbard sinking into the blood-stained mud.

“Son, we have a lot to discuss. Including that thing you have embedded into your arm there. However, I do not plan of robbing you of this battle. This is something you must go through with.” he would say, placing his own hand on the sword around his waist.

Diana watched as the wave of children inched towards her location. They attacked both allies and enemies to her cause. Something was not natural about their actions. Their eyes were dilated and they fought like rabid animals rather than human beings. None of them stuck out as being non-human aside from one that was particularly stronger than the rest. Her eyes met with his for a moment and time became still. A familiar bond linked from him to her in that instant. A feeling of kinship that she felt when around her family or others of her kin. His strength told her that the same blood ran through his veins as herself. Her gaze was fixated on the boy, ignoring all else that came her way. How dare they take advantage of my kin?! Diana had a hatred building up inside of her that practically flowed out of her body. A need to prove her dominance overcame her senses. She beckoned him.

"Hey! Over here!"

Her eyes grew wide with anticipation and her mouth forming into a toothy grin. Diana outstretched her arms as if to welcome him to her. She stepped back gradually to make room for the boy. The excitement of the battle to come filled her body with as much ferocity as he expressed. She was prepared to see how strong this boy was. If she were to die here, it would be an honor. Diana glared at the soldiers around her as to tell them to keep out of her battle and steer clear. She would not spare a single soul if they got in her way. Nor was she going to hold back.

"Let's see who is on top, shall we?"

Music "Bitch!" Is what Trently'd shout as he'd begin to kneel, not by his own choosing, but under the control of his foe's blade and the deadly melody it played. As the boy drop down to his knees, he rose his head and glared intensely at his foe though his foe's face was obscured by the blade's insane power.

"Yo! What the fuck did you just do to me!?" Trently'd ask his foe, angered that he lost control of his own body. It was hard to discern, but the boy would see a blade looming above his head and once he saw that, his heart would drop just as his knees did. In just mere seconds, his whole youth would begin to shoot past him, as if a picture show movie or a comic book strip.

"Gramps... This may be the end of our journey... Forgive me..."

It's winds blew, and it's clouds rained tons, a storm loomed upon Kou as it began to ravage anything and everything in it's path. Four days it lasted, the storm that is, and in the midst of it, a baby was born, Torento of the Yanaihara's. That day onward, Torento was dub the "Storm Baby" of the Yanaihara's, and honed his blade for that one day he'd be able to go out on a journey and make his grandpa proud. Yet, the boy had other dreams too, one of them being to become a General, helping his mom and grandma out just how his dad did.

It was hard for the boy to forgive his dad for just up and leaving, yet the boy knew that his dad had his reasons and tried not to hold any resentment toward him for that. At the age of ten, the boy's grandpa died, not by old age but by the hands of rebels who sought to set Yoshiro on the throne. It was a true travesty that the boy's grandpa died, yet his grandpa's death had not went in vain, as the boy took every ounce of what he learned from his grandpa and evolved, into a young man that his grandpa would surely be proud of now today.

"Aye Trently! Wouldn't it be fun to go out on a journey? Imagine the tales you'd be able to have! Plus, as Kou stands right now, its become a tad shady, has it not?" ~ Quote by Yanaihara Chien

Once the boy departed on his journey, he'd be on his way to Balbadd. Alone and not a huang to his name, Torento began to do jobs in order to fund his journey, so in short, he became a vagabond. Soon, he'd then reach Balbadd and, lucky for Torento, he'd venture to Reim next. By boat, he'd traverse the ocean and then at last, Torento would set foot in Reim. There, the boy then met Zadi, a King's Candidate born in Balbadd and looking to form a group. Upon having met Zadi, the boy found it to be of his best interest to join Zadi, thus, the group began.

Now, Torento and Zadi are here in Kou, involved in the War in order to set Gao Yuan Zu on the throne, however, Torento has other plans. If he'd want to execute those plans right, Torento would have to become a General of Gao Yuan Zu's before doing so. Yet, here he is now, on the verge of death.

"What a drag..." Whispered the boy, as he slumped his head down, ready to just die.

“Do not forget your mission, Chen of the Smiling Blade. I hired you for a reason, this, this is not what you were meant to do.” As his dad's voice would echo, Trently'd only hear it vaguely before he'd then be knocked out unconscious by the blade's melody.

“Rise up, your battle is not yet over.” Is what'd enter in on Trently's ears, a voice that the young lad once heard long ago.

"Huh?" Upon the man's voice being heard, Trently'd jerk up, looking for the voice's origin. Before his very eyes, he'd then see Kasai, his dad, a man who he shared the same blood.

"D-Dad? Or ah.. Father?"

“Son, we have a lot to discuss. Including that thing you have embedded into your arm there. However, I do not plan of robbing you of this battle. This is something you must go through with.”

"Ah.. So you found out huh?" As Kasai put his hand on his blade, Trently'd do the same.

Carnage... Absolute carnage. Lestacia looked on in horror as her comrades died faster than she can heal. He reactions were slow but she felt a gentle yet firm grip at her waist. He swung her onto the birds back, where he drew back his bow and fired. The following explosion resulted in more carnage. It was a horrific sight to see as blood spilled all across the battlefield. The sea of blood seemed to extend as she flew over head. She could still see the magician with his slime surrounding him.

“Hold on and stay there,”

Lestacia had no time to react at all. It happened so fast. First he shot an electrified arrow and all lestacia could do was look on in horror as the slime exploded. Tears fell from her eyes as she looked away helplessly. The number of units on both sides died down significantly. She could hear Tsunko apologize in regret for doing what he did.

"Tsunko it wasn't your fault. Magic is a very vast and complicated thing. Even I didn't know what the slime did. Don't blame yourself it's alright." She said amidst tears. Her heart was in pain as she was safe soaring overhead Watching and waiting to see what would happen.

"I'm going to use a spell but, it might kill me. I might be able to stay safe because I'm up here but despite this, my spell incapacitates me or brings me near it. It'll heal everyone however. Afterwards I will no longer be able to use it or move. Keep me safe ok..." she said gripping her staff and looking over the battlefield. She clenched her teeth. Did she want to end up like the girl she saw in her dream. The spell had different effects in different situations but she was scared. Would she fall off the bird? What would happen? What if she were to be attacked. She was scared and afraid. She sort of wanted Tsunko's opinion on a plan of action. What would they do as they soared amongst the sea of black trees. "I'm hesitant on using it though. It'll significantly change the tide of this battle depending on what happens. I'll leave it up to you to tell me when you want me to use it but it wont bring back the dead."

Spells still in effect and Magoi/Stamina:

I’m… Sorry.

Sorrow in his eyes. A sinister mocking laughter in the back of his playing over and over. Tears trailing to the burnt and charred dirt below. Aseo made out what was left of Yating. Golden armor to his golden locks they barely stayed upon his head. His head hanging low as he tried to touch his friend. He couldn't. He couldn't even bring himself to touch him and hold him in his dying moments. Wasn't because he couldn't. Wasn't because he was afraid. It was the gruesome image. The still burning metal. Nightmarish appearance that had befell Yating. It just made Aseo weep and so.

It was experimental. Experimental… I.. I shouldn't have used the slime… Yating… IM SORRY.

He knew he should not have held Yating. But to leave the dying wish of his only friend truly in arms to be alone feeling nothing, Aseo could not. No. He would not do that. Wrapping his arms behind the Yating’s head and cuffing him into his chest. Smoke. Igniting parts of his own clothing as some of the gold melted onto the cloth. Blood staining everything while blisters burst from how tight Aseo begun to hug. Yating spoke softly. ‘ Stop him… please… ‘ Stop who? Sun Liang? How could I, if I didn't even know where he went.

I will carry your dying wish. Yating.. may the rukh guide you.

Only moments after Yating’s eyes faded. His outreach hand went limp and fell to his lap while Aseo begun to stand. Cradling Yating’s dead body. Staring into the sky. Yating’s last breath had been carried off into the wind as rukh. Aseo’s tears had stopped. His face covered with ash, blood, and trails from his tears. A gust of wind came from his right side. It was calling him? Was it really? He felt he could follow it. Aseo had fallen once more, eyes dulled and faded and everything around him seemed calm. Resenting his actions which caused multiple deaths including his brother in arms. A flurry of black rush would brush past him as Aseo stumbled to find this source of wind.

I must make this right. Sun Liang will die a horrible, slow, cockroach like death. Anyone who tries to stop me shall be crushed. No. Not crush, but shredded, broken, and ripped limb from limb alive. If I find the bows--

Cutting himself off as he stumbled a little. Dropping Yating’s body in the ash. Aseo just picked himself up and went back to cradle the body. Carrying dead weight because Aseo was now empty once more. Traveling with the wind on a wimp of despair, and pure intentions for killing. May the outcome of the wind become my onslaught of death, destruction, and gentle catastrophe! He said to himself and any living thing around him if any had survived. Aseo preparing for the best horrific day!

The rabid children attacked the swaths of soldiers, digging their claws into the opposing armies. As Diana shouted at the child wielding a blade, two of the children’s bodies stopped in their tracks, as if they were compelled to, and turned to face the warrior. One in particular held its gaze on her long enough to divert its path of wanton destruction and charge toward the silver-haired maiden. It was peculiar, now, how the rabid Fanalis child was focused so much on attacking the woman. The child’s hind legs reared up and lunged at the silver-haired woman, their claws and sword ready to tear flesh asunder. The other rabid child would dive into a pack of soldiers, ripping their armor and skin from their bodies as they cried out in pain.

Without warning, the second child dove into a pack of soldiers, trained soldiers, and ravaged them, delighting the cries of pain as it meted out devastation upon both friend and foe. It relished in the act of war and knew no ally or enemy, only a lust for bloodshed, blinded by the sheer love of battle. In a fit of pique, the child dove at a soldier, only to meet the end of a very well-timed punch to the child’s chest. It sent the child flying backward, only to hack up blood and air as it squirmed on the ground. For a moment, the child almost seemed clear of mind, tranquil, as if their rabid nature were no longer evident, and it was only just a scared child lost in the field of battle. Rabidity took over, however, and the child dove back at the soldier, only to meet the pointy end of the soldier’s spear. In an instant, the child’s body went limp, falling to the ground as life left their body, falling to the ground with a resounding thud as the soldiers nearby cheered in triumph. A deep crimson liquid would begin seeping from the child’s shattered body, their hand stretched out in search of help. However, no help would come for this child. Not today.

As if he was fast as a bolt of lightning, the child would slash down at Diana with his thickened fang-like blade. If she were to retaliate with her own, the two blades would clash together, creating an awful ringing noise throughout the battlefield. The child’s strength was above and beyond the other children. Not only was his body much more in-shape than the rest, but the dosage of strength-enhancing drugs he had been given were far more potent. Diana would be lucky if she found herself unscathed after the first clash, that and also somewhat lucky since the child would immediately back away from her. He was not only stronger than the rest, but his intelligence seemed to be more intact, even if only ever so slightly. His strategy would switch from an offensive one, to something more instinct-based. He had begun circling the Fanalis woman, waiting for her to make the first move.

As he followed the winds, all he would see is his surroundings getting darker and darker as he walked away from the last bit of light he would see. Black rukh swarmed the area and bodies littered the ground. A sea of blood and guts lie before him. He would continue through this area until reaching a figure that had it's back turned. It was alone and drenched in the darkness that surrounded them. The air suddenly became harder to breathe the closer Asehi came to the person.

"Ah~... it seems you've found me... Kukuku~..."

[ToM] The First Battle - Page 2 AsB8S5O

The voice was familiar but as the figure turned it didn't look like the man he was looking for. His expression was as taunting as his voice. It was Sun Liang who had called him here and it was him he found. Despite his new appearance, it was clear. His fan traced his lips seductively at the thought of ripping into the boy in front of him.

"My... you're quite the hardy one. Have you come to kill me, boy? Or have you come to die..?"

He would wait until Asehi responded with either words or action before blowing a harsh wind towards him to blow him back to stop him from casting any spells. It was harmless and wouldn't hurt him but the force of the blow would knock the wind straight out of his chest. "Magarula." He would then follow up with another concentrated gust of wind that sliced through the ground as it traveled towards him.

"Let's see how much fun you are to play with until I decide to kill you~..."

Thunderous booming surrounded them, as lightning continued to strike at the land. The rain only continued to get heavier, showing no signs of getting weaker. The sound of clashing metal and death had moved further away from them, as the two armies had moved further north from the original spot. Countless soldiers on both ends had been slaughtered, and would now live only only in the memories of their loved ones. Their names would never be known again, they were only faceless soldiers who were now apart of the earth’s crust.

“Would you mind showing me that arm of yours, son? I might be mistaken, or perhaps it’s merely a coincidence. Knowing Gao, though…” Yoshiro’s general would state, not letting his guard down for a second. The man was serious, and despite Trently and Kasai’s current relationship, he still showed signs of concern for the boy. Upon Trently’s father questioning him about his arm, the magic tool would begin to behave strangely. The boy would be able to feel as the device was beginning to heat up, not to the point of burning him, but enough for minor discomfort. A strange red mist-like substance could be seen seeping through his bandages, along with the tool rooting even deeper into his arm. The black tendrils were digging further into his muscles, latching upon any nerves they could find. Trently could feel his arm become lighter, almost weightless. Perhaps this would give him an advantage in his fight with Chen, The Smiling Swordsman.

“Stand your ground boy, our fight is not yet over.” Chen would say abruptly, pulling his large sheath out of the muddy ground. The man’s eyes were back to their normal state, no longer hindered by the power of Trently’s Meinu. His face was grim, and serious. He was clearly not satisfied by how Kasai forced the fight to pause momentarily, and would have rather beheaded Trently there on the spot. Despite his issues with this, he would continue to fight regardless. Chen would not wait around for Kasai’s flesh and blood to act, causing him to make his his first move alongside a convenient strike of lightning. The lightning would serve as a decent distraction, as he aimed his sword towards Trently’s stomach.

The plains below them were filled with an array of bodies and splashes of red among the green. A tense breath escaped his lips as she answered him. Her somber voice told him the opposite than what she reassured. Failure was something he didn't want to acknowledge. He had failed all his life only to be spared by the pity of those around him. His good luck came with the bad coming ten fold. As he looked down, his failures were clear to him. His recklessness has caused him to take many lives yet again.

"It isn't fine... They had families! Wives, children! It is my fault!"

His outburst stopped short by the flow of tears long held back. He was frustrated and would do anything to turn back time. Lestacia mentioned a spell. A dangerous spell that she implied may take her own life. This made him feel uneasy. The importance of this girl was obviously of great scale. If she died, it would be over if it wasn't already. Plus, there was no bringing back the dead.

"No... they're all dead down there. Your spell wouldn't save them now and it's not safe here."

Tsunko gave a short whistle to the bird and they began to slowly descend to the ground. During this time, he would stay silent, steeling his emotions. They would land in a nearby camp which was long abandoned. He walked around to the side of the bird and reached out his arms to assist her. The avian was quite large and it would be tough for her to get down without trouble. If she accepted his help, he would hold onto her sides and slowly set her down.

"Do you know how to fight? If not, I can teach you."

There was something running through his mind and she would be able to tell this. Though it would be clear he was preparing her to take lives. He walked over to one of the weapon racks and examined some of the weapons. They were smaller and most likely for her. It was just the two of them and the war was not over yet. He would wander into one of the tents and soon come out with a few odd looking items that he presented to her.

"These might be helpful to you. I'm not sure what they do but they were a good find."

[ToM] The First Battle - Page 2 UVJgXBf

The first item was an instrument. It's dark metal twisted into an ethereal cyan hue. A crystal of the same color adorned the top and three strings formed from the metal behind it. It's magic circle is imprinted on the inside of the twirling figure. Upon touch, it was much colder than one would expect.

[ToM] The First Battle - Page 2 AYCtjHI

The second item was a circular disk. This particular is dark yet beautiful. The design is shaped into an ornate array of spikes and gothic patterns. It's main feature is a skull with garnet gemstones placed into it's eye sockets. The magic circle is located on the back side of the item. A sickly air surrounds the tool as if it is riddled with some sort of curse.

[ToM] The First Battle - Page 2 VMd6N7V

The last item was a bracelet. It is a beautiful item with a large crystal in the center that shines brightly as it captures the light. It is adorned with smaller gems and made of a white metal. The magic circle can be vaguely seen within the crystal. The bracelet seems to adjust it's size to whomever touches it.

Tsunko would wait until the chose one of the items before motioning her back over to the bird. He would help her up on top of his companion before getting on himself. This time he let her sit in front but he held her firmly with one of his arms so she wouldn't fall. He sat there deep in thought for a moment before speaking up.

"If... if you want to go home. I will let you go. You don't deserve to be in this situation. I will come up with an excuse so you can get away from here. But if you wish to stay... I promise that I'll protect you. But you must be prepared to defend yourself. We will avenge their deaths. I swear this to you."

His resolve was clear but there was still a tinge of worry in his voice. His grip on her got slightly more firm. If she decided to stay, the bird would pick up speed. He hoped she stayed though he wouldn't blame her if she decided to leave now. This war was not an ideal place for a gentle soul like her.

( Note from DM: I won’t be telling you what the items exactly do as in magic type or function until you choose one. But I did give hints as to what they might be. They are all magic items and you will be able to use it in this event thread after this round of posting. )

Lestacia could feel the pain in his words. The anguish in his voice. He was right in the end. Those people had families, and friends. They had lives back at their homes. Who would tell their families? Lestacia wiped the tears in her eyes that had begun to form and clenched her teeth. It would be hard to tell their families. Their morale was deteriorating and cheering Tsunko up wasn't working. He would soon whistle and the bird would fly down to an abandoned encampment. She'd accept Tsunko's help in getting her down as he searched the camp. He'd ask Lestacia if she knew how to fight.

"In fact, I do! I can give life and take it away." she looked into his eyes with a different expression than before. With the look of pain in her heart. "I try not to kill as much as I can. I have something to prove. However if it is necessary to kill..." She choked up a bit before finishing. "I will do so unless I feel they serve a purpose!"

She looked back on her time killing people in the past. It was pretty gruesome. She killed so brutally but it all those lives weighed so heavily on her shoulders. People she couldn't save, those beyond her help, and especially an innocent veteran obliterated by her hand. Well not hers, but a skeletal one but it was still a spell she created and used against him. While wrapped in thought she would notice Tsunko.

She'd examine each item carefully before picking the Circular Disk up into her hands and examined it. It had a sickly air about it as if it were riddled with some kind of curse, but it seemed strong enough. It looked like an offensive item and the more things she could use to protect herself the better. She made up her mind and wielded the disk in her hand with her in the other upon the staff. After choosing the item Tsunko would motion her back to the bird. She'd be in the front this time.

"If... if you want to go home. I will let you go. You don't deserve to be in this situation. I will come up with an excuse so you can get away from here. But if you wish to stay... I promise that I'll protect you. But you must be prepared to defend yourself. We will avenge their deaths. I swear this to you."

"I want to be here with you!" Her heart pounded. She liked him. Keeping him safe was her top priority in this war. No matter the mistakes he made, she would make sure he came out of this alive. "You watch my back and I'll watch yours. Just try and not to get yourself killed out there. I know you're working hard out there but if you overexert yourself you might die. I care about you!" She said fondling with the birds feathers. She would stay and fight. She was not a normal healer who would run and hide. She was one who would fight by the side of her companions till the very end. She pointed her staff toward the man and smiled. "Gaia's Might!"

"This is to make sure that you don't die. It'll protect you from one harmful attack, so try and not to get hit by anything to severe."

She gave him a smile and looked forward as the bird picked up speed. Her heart pounded hard, she was taken with him. What would she do if she lost him. She couldn't think of that now. They'd soon rejoin the battle where she could watch over him those who needed watching over.

Aseo hadn't thought anymore. It was follow the wind. Walk until nothing else presented itself. Holding tightly onto Yating’s dead corpse. Stumping, and smashing his feet through heads, stomach, throats, and other lifeless bodies below. The crushing noises of each other person below him at first made him cringe. But as he kept getting further into the darkness it became his friend with a echoing fade behind it. ‘ Catastrophe ‘ it rung into his ears. Aseo licking his lips and swiping them across the upper portion to licked the dried blood. His mentality had been broken. He almost had a sane look upon his face when a dark figure stood alone in a sea of black rukh, guts, and fresh blood to dried.

"Ah~... it seems you've found me... Kukuku~..."

The black figure said, but Aseo hadn't made his move yet. He held Yating’s body firmly while drawing circles with the ends of his cane. Making a small rocking action with Yating so he could fully draw. Žmonijos Augimo he whispered to himself. Narrowing his eyes. He wasn't shocked to see the black figure turn out to be Sun Liang’s true appearance. Only deceitful people like him truly pisses him off even more.

My... you're quite the hardy one. Have you come to kill me, boy? Or have you come to die..?"

Death hadn't crossed his mind. Nothing has besides Yating. Translucent hands appeared around Aseo as he was the only one to know they were there. Sun Liang had made it hard for him to breath. So through his anger he took long and deep breaths in a calm fashion. Sun Liang siMister laugh from earlier rung into his head making him tighten everything on his body. That's when the winds pushed him backwards and tried to knock the wind out of him. He wasn't fazed by the attempts at all.

"Let's see how much fun you are to play with until I decide to kill you~..."

Black rukh had swarmed Aseo’s hands. In his mind he plotted something sin worthy. He let his actions take place instead of his emotions. Entering a state of fighting for survival just like in the alley way. Concentrated winds tore through the ground aimed for him. It was a straight line attack. Something easily dodged. But Aseo didn't wanna simply dodge it, he wanted to show his new resolve in a twisted way. Throwing Yating's Body at the wind. Commanding the translucent hand to enlarge the blistered and burnt flesh and armored torso. It wasn't the only thing Aseo had going. If Yating’s enlarged body had stopped the concentrated winds. He would shoot an orb of water from around the side of the body. Being in darkness played a huge factor. Blending water in a dark area was easy and could be flexible for a surprise attack to counter. Aseo aimmed the orb of water towards Sun Liang’s right hip joint wanting to ‘see how much fun they could have. ‘ if it hits.

Onslaught of your death, to your destruction, and catastrophic damage.

Aseo said in a raspy, low voice. Kicking up the dead corpses around him as he moves to the left using them for cover if Sun Liang had gotten through his surprise and ‘Corpse Party’ as he’d liked to think. Making small viewing spots leaving enough room if Aseo thought to throw one of his syringes. Keeping a good distance of 8 meter. Not wanting to draw into his range. Tapping himself everything from his footsteps to his breaths would go silent. Making him an shadow of crimson and ash due to stains on his face and clothing. Moving in darkness to make it harder for Sun Liang to actually target him. But Aseo would prepare himself and be ready if Sun Liang planned to use an area of effect based Attack by kicking up dead corpses making them inaudible as well and decoy. Won't be much fun hidden in darkness.

[ToM] The First Battle - Page 2 Mushibugyo_screen4

Is it truly okay to let your men duke it out, then once they run out of energy, die just as if its not a bother whatsoever. In the boy's head, he only cared about taking down his father now, in order to end the war in which he began. "I don't want to but I may have to..." Is what Trently'd say.

"Dad! Look at your men! Now, take a look at my men! Do you know how fucked it is to just let them die, how'd it look on us!? Not just that but we don't need anymore of Kou's men to die! They have loved ones too, ya know! If you don't go over there and end the war, I'm going to be forced to take you down! I lend no fucks of who you are! Its foul to just let those men perish on our watch! Yoshiro or Gao, I don't care, every man owns loved ones and a future ahead of them!"

As Trently'd say that to his dad, he'd start to feel the Magic Tool in his arm wrangle around and behave strangely. Then, it'd start to heat up and even fume red. As it did so, Trently'd take hold of his blade, not having unsheathed it yet.

“Would you mind showing me that arm of yours, son? I might be mistaken, or perhaps it’s merely a coincidence. Knowing Gao, though…”

"Its a Magic Tool, at-least to my knowledge that is. It enhances the user's strength by tenfold. I can show it to you but you have to stop your men, if you do, I can stop my men. I didn't come here to have my men die in vain, I came here to take down the General, you. Though, I don't want to, I just cant do it, I don't have the heart to. Its not what Grandpa'd want, its not right."

Trying to set up a deal, the boy would loosen his hold on his blade and speak to his father for he may be able to save him, in some way, shape, or form. Yet, Chen would intervene on Trently's deal as he'd then pick up his blade, ready to go up against the boy once more.

“Stand your ground boy, our fight is not yet over.”

"Fuck! You wont cut me any slack then, huh? Get your ass over here! I'm bout to end this!"

Music

"Aye! Try not to rely on your Magic Weapon, kay!? I wont use any as long you wont, lets tackle one another head on! No magic! In regards to the Magic Tool in my arm though, I cant do a lot about it so just deal, ya understand old man!?" Beyond angered at Chen for what he did back then, the boy clearly held a grudge, so Trently went on and unsheathed his two blades, grasping them both furiously. As Chen made his way toward the boy, a blue thunder bolt from the sky would serve as a distraction in order to get close to the boy. It surely did distract the boy, yet not long enough for Chen to reach him, thus, Trently was able to defend his body from a fatal blow.

"You've got guts, hya!" In an instant, Trently would block Chen's Blade, then, in his other hand, he'd swing at Chen. Yet, here is the thing, the boy would reign his blade down just a moment before he'd block Chen's blade, so Chen wouldn't be able to jump back and or dodge it.

"Ehehe! Yoroi Kame!" Then, once the boy has blocked Chen's blade, he'd go ahead and disarm Chen using the same blade that he used to block. If the boy's foe is now disarmed, Trently is to chase down Chen's blade and pick it up, taking it as his own.

So fast. Diana couldn't believe how agile this child was as he lunged at her. Luckily, she never took her eyes off of him for a second. The child had their sword extended out in front of them as if he planned to strike at her first with that. There was little time to think and her body simply acted on instincts. She moved towards him as well to get as close as possible. Despite his odd drug induced ferocity, he was still a child. *As he struck downwards, she would try to catch his wrist and attempt to crush it so he would drop the sword. This may have left her quite vulnerable but she wasn't finished. Her other arm would attempt to land an undercut straight into his stomach. She wasn't letting him get away. Not until she could figure out this situation.

The mere fact that children were killing and dying around her made her feel uneasy. Gao Yuan Zu was a despicable man for using children in a war and it disgusted her to think she almost supported him. While his cause was noble for trying to reobtain his throne. She would prefer to see him off of it. The thought of the future with him as the ruler yet again terrified her. If he won this war and she had not perished, Diana would ensure that he saw the end. By her blade or not. While the current emperor had questionable actions, she would have to give him a piece of her mind later. Right now, it was a fight for her life. There was no reason to think of the future.

It was tremendous, the level of skill butting head to head in this match. A child, not yet matured into a young man, capable of inflicting such pain on adult men and women whose entire lives were spent preparing for the heat of battle. Yet, the young Fanalis boy was an expert opponent, capable of maintaining ownership of his mysterious, fang-shaped sword. Held in a vicegrip, the sword neglected to leave the child’s hands, still planted firmly in his hand.

However, the Fanalis woman’s fist connected with the child’s stomach, sending a formidable blow to their chest before they regained composure quickly enough to peel her hand off his wrist. The boy somersaulted over the warrior maiden, keeping firm grip of the fang-like sword in their grasp. The child landed behind the silver-haired warrior, holding his arm, his face grimacing like one could only describe as someone trying to forget about pain. The little boy’s eyes would glow red with conviction and lust for blood. As if they were letting out a fierce battle roar, the child stomped his feet on the ground, letting out an exasperated scream subduing the approaching soldiers around him in impressive fear. For how little the child was, their build was more sturdy, their body more hardened and suited for battle, as if all the child knew was war and bloodshed and violence.

It was no secret that former emperor Gao Yuan Zu was a terrible man, capable of introducing such heinous acts like sending out child soldiers to do his bidding. Though the child was fierce and taken over by the lust for battle, there was a gentleness in his eyes. The Fanalis child from earlier who died at the hands of the soldiers’ spears, for a minute, had a touch of humanity in her before falling victim to their blades. It was faint, and subtle, but she resisted the want for battle and could not viciously kill as she did earlier before.

Standing before the silver-haired maiden now, the Fanalis boy held his sword in his hand and dashed forward the woman, zig-zagging through the earth between hoping to draw attention away from his movements. Soldiers onlooking the battle attempted to cut the boy down, only to find their body slashed without remorse. Limbs flew flopped in the air as the boy rushed toward the Fanalis woman, attempting to slash at her legs. For all that was rabid about the boy, it seemed he did not lose the ability to fight strategically.

Sun Liang was surprised at his reaction. It teased a bit of laughter out of the man. The boy was morbid enough to throw his comrade's dead body into his attack. Yet these winds tore straight through the enlarged corpse with ease but dissipated upon reaching the blue magician. He would only have felt a strong breeze. Pieces of Yating's dead body blew into different directions. A small orb of water curved around the meat shield as well which glistened in the dim light. Due to the small size of the orb, he let it collide with his body. The damage was laughable. The white magician didn't even flinch. He just gave Asehi a mocking laugh accompanied with a cocky smile. His expression darkened as he watched the boy try to sneak around him. While he was not audible, he was most certainly visible in the corpse ridden plains.

"Do you really think you could sneak around me? Ha! You truly are a fool. I will show you what I am known for, boy! But I'm afraid you won't live to tell the tale. It's a shame."

The corpses ruptured beneath his feet as he ran around Sun Liang. Asehi's attempts to kick them up only made them flip over and cover his feet and legs in bodily fluids. They were much too disheveled to be used as a meat shield and some pieces were too heavy to even lift. His enemy stayed in place, turning his head and body to keep watch on the boy. Sun Liang began to fan himself, waiting on Asehi to make a move. He was impatient. The master of wind would swipe his fan out in front of him and his eyes grew wide. Winds began to pick up in a large radius around him. Any projectiles would be useless in this gust but there was an eye to the storm. An area of roughly one meter around Sun Liang was not affected by it. His fan pulsated with a great aura of dread and malice. Black rukh swarmed around the man.

"Dance!"

Asehi would suddenly find that his clothing and skin were beginning to tear in small cuts upon his body. The radius of the hurricane was massive, reaching thirty meters away from the caster. The more he stood in the current of wind, the more cuts he would get. Sun Liang would wait until his next action. He wanted to see the boy suffer.

Kasai watched as his son went on about the war, trying his hardest to convince him to switch sides. He couldn’t help but feel somewhat bad about it all, yet Trently should know very well that what he was asking was simply impossible. “I have put my faith in Yoshiro, and it will stay that wait until the day that I die.” Kasai would state, with a heart made of stone. Watching as the red vapor seeped from his son’s arm, he couldn’t help but feel slightly more nervous about it. He was correct after all, about it being a magic tool given to him by Gao. If things got out of hand during the fight, he would be forced to intervene. He couldn’t risk losing either Trently, or Chen.

By clearing his throat, Kasai would continue to speak directly to his son. “There is one thing I don’t quite understand about you, what is it that you see in that man? Gao, that is. It’s hard to imagine someone young as you, to be entranced into his old-fashioned ways. He is a corrupt and evil old man, it would be much more simpler to just join Yoshiro. Out of all the people here, I’d expect you to be completely against the slavery he endorses! Yet, here you are..” Kasai would shout out to Trently, only to be interrupted by Chen’s actions. Yoshiro’s general would simply step-back, to begin admiring the fight from a distance. To further Trently’s growth, this was a fight he would have to carry out to the end. However, Kasai would not drop his guard, not even for a second. Just in case things took a turn for the worse.

The Smiling Swordsman couldn’t help but grin at the Trently’s response. “You can’t possibly think that I’m the kind of man to use the same trick twice, we might as well get some entertainment out of this!” Chen would shout out, having his blade blocked by Trently’s own right away. The boy would then attempt to disarm Chen during this process, failing to do so. This would force Chen to immediately pull his blade back, swiftly kicking Trently in the stomach. This would cause the young general be knocked back a bit, yet still capable of standing on his two feet. “You’re gonna have to do better than that!” Chen would yell, positioning himself away from Trently once again. However, this time his stance was meant to do something different entirely. This was Chen’s counter-stance, Dǎ Hǔ, by far his most renowned technique.

"I want to be here with you! You watch my back and I'll watch yours. Just try and not to get yourself killed out there. I know you're working hard out there but if you overexert yourself you might die. I care about you!"

Her words struck him deep in his heart. He felt anxious yet his mind was put at ease. Tsunko removed his mask since his face was heating up. His cheeks were flushed with a light blush and his eyes looked somber. Since the start of this war, he was drawn to her. He kept an eye on her ever since he laid eyes on her at the camp. She was placed into his care and they experienced horrors together. They would see more of this war in the hours to come as well. Yet he found this peaceful serenity in her company.

At first, he wouldn't have believed her if she told him that she cared for him. Tsunko was smitten with her. He kept his arm around her in a gentle embrace and rested his head against the side of hers. There was a bit of an urge to kiss her but he refrained. If she did not share his feelings for her, it would only distance them further. His heart was racing and she would be able to feel it from his chest pressed up upon her back. He was unsure what to say to her. There were no words to convey his current emotions and the battlefield wasn't a good place to kindle a romance.

"Don't worry. We'll get out of this alive. Thank you for looking out for me."

He wanted to tell her that he wanted to run away from here with her after it was all over. But his scar pulsated with pain and hatred for that man. Perhaps it would be a good time to tell her of his past as they soared through the skies. But they reached the battlefield too soon. He withdrew from his romantic embrace and returned the mask to his face. The scene below wasn't as horrific as the one they had come from. Surprisingly, many of the men who hadn't climbed the mountain organized themselves in this location and were in combat with the enemy. Tsunko let out a sigh of relief when he saw most of his forces alive.

"Let's land in a safe spot and join them. I won't be known for a coward and neither will you. It'll be over soon, I promise."

The hawk veered off away from the thick of the battle and landed in a safer location. Though it wasn't as safe as they would think. There was a small bit of battle going on around them. The hawk gave the surrounding soldiers a bit of a scare. It was enough to buy them time to get off of the bird. There would be no time to talk. Men from all sides went to attack them. Tsunko would be practically back to back with Lestacia, unleashing heavy arrows into the few men that assaulted him. His hawk took to the air again, swooping down to the ground and picking up various soldiers only to drop them to their demise.

Three soldiers would come charging towards the young woman. They were trained but their actions weren't as precise as one would expect. It was clear they were simply fighting for their lives and saw her as a threat. She could see in their eyes that they did not want to attack her but their instincts drove them to kill. It was kill or be killed out here and Lestacia would have to put her morals to the test.

One of them slashed their sword at her while the other took his own and stabbed. They both came at her at the same time. The third would stab his sword in between the other two in order to get more damage on her. That is, if they could get close to her.
