- [ something wrong even so ] He's as philosophical as Ariel is a bookworm. He reveals to be rather depressing so most of his siblings ignore him when he talks about philosophy. He hopes philosophy might be an area he and Ariel could bond over after years of having been separated.
- [ wistful gazes across the sea ] He shares a strong dislike towards the present and wishes for the past. He's an extremely nostalgic figure. He misses his earliest years, before their large family moved to the city and lost one. Like most of his family, he has a very vivid memory of the past.
- [ cheerful smile among the deities ] If he's not being philosophical, he's extremely cheerful and optimistic. He is always teasing his siblings. He teases the oldest, Eli, for being the only magician besides their mother, making him mamma’s boy. He teases Ephraim for being shorter than any of the others. He teases Mattiyahu for his love of Kou culture and his obsession over his looks. He teases Ariel for his bookworm-ish tendencies and adopted status. And he's respects Ronnen for being the voice of reason, so he doesn't tease the middle child and mediator of their dysfunctional family.
- [ as they watch the guilt fester ] He is extremely guilty about the kidnapping of his older brother, Ariel. He use to live in constant worry about Ariel. In general, he gets rather worried about his family when he can not easily reach them. He has some anxiety problems.
- [ and do nothing to comfort us in our time of need] He is rather private about himself. He would hate to cause his family worry. So he prefers to stay quiet about his problems. Like all of the Harel family, he is especially stubborn and pretty much will stay silent to his death.

- [ so we hid in silence ] He was born a few months later after Ariel entered the Harel family. Being the youngest, he and Ariel stuck together like glue. They were practically twins, their parents often joked. As a result, when Ariel went missing, he was the most impacted. He began distancing himself from the rest of his family. The six-year old lost his usual cheerfulness.
- [ and awaited the day of judgement ] The next time he saw his brother was on his twelfth birthday. It was a surprise he welcomed. Their reunion was touching but didn’t last. Soon, like six years before, his brother was stolen from him again.
- [ when what was stolen is returned ] He found his brother among the povertous country of Balbadd. A slave with a furious frown and chilly eyes. Familiar yet so unfamiliar. Ariel glared at everything with bitterness and mistrust. Natan did everything he could to cheer up Ariel. He tried everything to return the Ariel of his memories. In the end, all his attempts were in vain. In the end, something their father said was the turning point. His brother, as bitter as ever, left them soon after their father’s death. Later on, they found out, thanks to Eli, that Ariel had moved to Magnostadt. Natan decided he would follow his siblings.
