Type: Glaive – Naginata subtype.
Appearance: A six foot long pole with a foot and a half long head; composed of an inch and a half lacquered cypress pole and an iron head. The half-inch thick head of the weapon has been gilded with a thin cupronickel coating on top of a further copper coating that continues onto the pole itself, giving Benzaiten’s Kiss a uniform blood red hue and increasing its overall durability. The fastenings and pole cap are comprised of solid steel, with a six foot long purple silk tassel at the end. This tassel is further adorned with two small gold bells, giving Benzaiten’s Kiss its trademark chime with each movement. Benzaiten’s Kiss’s lethality comes from its forged edge and generally lightweight composition, enabling even the least martially trained to be able to lift the weapon.
