Apollo Corvus AfnhCQD

Name: Apollo Corvus
Country Affiliation: Reim
Race: Fanalis Dominant - Human Recessive
Tier: D-Tier
Class: Beast Tamer
Age + Birthdate: 22 | January 11th
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Demisexual
Personality:

 • Irritable - Upon meeting Apollo, one's first opinion about him might be "damn, that guy is a total grouch." this is due to his low-tolerance for foolishness. It does not take much to put this guy in a bad mood.

 • Proud - Similar to most in his family, Apollo is very proud to be apart of the Corvus clan. That, and the fact he has Fanalis blood flowing throughout his veins. Apollo will often demonstrate this pride inside of the coliseum, which in turn, can easily be used to frighten his enemy due to how renown the Corvus are.

 • Outdoorsman - Tying into his extreme love for animals, Apollo in general can't get enough of Mother Nature. If he isn't fighting within the coliseum or bartending, he is most likely spending his free-time in the more rural parts of Reim. It's hard to find him cooped up inside a building for long. That was, until Diana decided to go run off to Kou. Apollo now spends a good amount of his free-time caring for their ill mother, whom he simply can't entrust to anyone other than his younger sister.

 • Pessimist - Even though Apollo is confident in his own strength, he will often back-out of a fight if things begin to take a turn for the worst. This is a fear he fights with every single day, as he has come across many overwhelming foes inside of the coliseum. Even with this rationalized fear, he always does his best to fight it off and come out victorious.

Likes:

 • Bartending - When Apollo isn’t spending all of his free time fighting in the coliseum or hiking, he’s most likely performing a display of bartending skill in some local pub, doing fancy tricks with the glasses. He finds great joy in serving alcoholic beverages to paying customers in a flashy way, always making their coin worthwhile.

 • Animals - Just like any other member of the Corvus family, Apollo is incredibly fond of most if not all animals he encounters. This goes a long way for him, as he would rather save the life of a stray dog than some innocent human bystander.

 • Traditional Dueling - Even though one might argue that the coliseum is nothing but bloody entertainment containing no honor, that would only be half right. Apollo has taken part of a couple matches that have been strikingly similar to traditional dueling. It is rare to find someone honorable enough to do such a thing, but there have been a few times it has occurred.

 • Puzzles - While most wouldn’t consider Apollo an intellectual, he happens to have a burning passion for solving puzzles. Some of his fondest past memories were of him and his older sister, Diana, competing in puzzle races as children.

Dislikes:

 • Arguments - Apollo has an extreme hatred for arguing, so he will avoid it at any cost. There isn’t really a deep reason behind this hatred, other than the fact it simply gets on his nerves.

 • Eggs - Diana’s most favorite pastime, eggs. Her genuine love for eggs absolutely appalls him, especially since she was the main reason behind them eating some many eggs as children. Every meal of the day, she wanted eggs, eggs, and more eggs. She was a lunatic and he will never be able to forgive her for it.

 • Boasters - It’s hard to say if this is actually a like or a dislike for him, as one of Apollo’s most enjoyable things to do in the coliseum is to crush all the pompous showoffs. He hates anyone that is overly full of themself, though he knows the difference between overconfidence and regular confidence in one’s self.

 • Greed - Greed is something that disgusts Apollo even more-so than eggs, even though his hatred for eggs is seemingly boundless. While simply wanting fame and fortune isn’t a crime, if that is all one seeks in life it becomes a problem for the Fanalis.

Aspirations:

 • Coliseum Champion - Apollo has been fighting in the arena for quite a long time now, though, he isn't anywhere near the top-dogs. He plans on obtaining the title of Coliseum Champion one day, just as his father had obtained before him. Once he obtains this title, he plans to never let it go, no matter the hardships he might have to endure because of it. He hopes to have obtained the title by the time Diana returns, in order to impress her with how far he has gotten. Becoming champion would also prove to be a great feat for the Corvus family, as Apollo truly believes that the title belongs to them as a whole.

 • World Travel - World travel is something always on Apollo's mind, yet, is a seemingly unobtainable goal at the time. With Diana gone and his mother sick, he feels as if he is bound to Reim forever. If he were to finally leave country, his alliance would most likely stick with his homeland. However, his family is far more important to him than Reim is, so if there was ever a reason for him to go against his own homeland, it would be because of his family.

Phobias/fears:

 • Dishonoring the Corvus - Apollo's biggest fear in life, is letting down his beloved family. While it is not likely to happen, this one thing could easily throw him deep into depravity. However, he won't bash/curse himself if he simply makes a mistake, or is incapable of doing something. This mainly goes along the lines of him not being able to protect those who he loves, or if he beings to go against his family in any way.

 • Losing more Family - After the tragic loss of his father, Apollo realized how important family truly was to him. He always took them for granted, acting like they would always be there for him. This fear of losing more family is a major factor in why he hasn't left Reim to travel the world, yet. Even with that being said, he would have done just about anything to have left Reim with his sister, but unfortunately, someone had to take care of their ill mother. While he doesn't actually hate her for leaving, Apollo is ready to run Diana's ear off once she returns.

Face-Claim: Ginko - Mushishi
Hair Color: Platinum Blonde | White
Eye Color: Cobalt
Height: 175cm (5'9ft)
Weight: 88kg (195lbs)

Appearance: His face is generally blank and expressionless, unless infuriated. It's hard to tell by expression alone whether he is agitated (which he typically is), or when he is happy. His posture is often very slob-like, slouching/hunched over most of the time.

Apollo is an averagely proportioned male, standing at around 175cm tall. His body is quite toned, due to him getting a lot of exercise in while fighting at the coliseum. His short white hair goes about to the nape of his neck, his bangs covering his left eye completely. Apollo normally isn't one to care about his overall appearance, usually found wearing an overcoat, a monochrome shirt, and a pair of faded slacks. However, he always makes sure to adorn his custom-made golden armor in battle, flaunting off his Reim pride. His lower lip is often pierced with a silver stud, signifying his Fanalis heritage.

Rukh Alignment: White
Special Features: N/A

History: Born on a cold January day, the clouds were pitch-black and raining cats and dogs. He was the second born among their household, only being about three years younger than his sister, Diana. His mother was an average human woman, with no actual talent in combat. However, his father was as strong as they came, bearing the crimson red hair of a Fanalis. The Corvus household was a loud one, never really sparing a moment of peace when father was around. Despite this one downside, he loved his entire family with all of his heart. This love would begin to root inside of him, giving him the false idea of his family always being there to protect and comfort him. This false idea, however, would become apparent when his father died brutally within the coliseum. The worst part about the entire thing was, both Diana and Apollo were forced to witness this grotesque scene first-hand. Despite this traumatizing both of them, Apollo's opinion on the coliseum would not change. He knew very well that fighting in there had it's risks, and he was prepared to take those same risks once he came of age.

Growing up a member of the Corvus, Apollo was given the chance to prove his beast-taming abilities upon maturity. Minerva, his aunt, sentenced him into the wilderness. He would be stripped of all of his possessions, leaving not even the clothes on his back. He was given two very important tasks, tasks that every Corvus must eventually partake in. One, he had to survive. This one was obvious to him, as the only way for him to get stronger, was to continue surviving. Two, he was to bring home a beast worthy of the family name. It didn't matter what it was, as all animals were technically sacred among the Corvus. This animal would from then on represent Apollo's personality, or so he was told.

As Apollo reached "adulthood", he would have officially joined the coliseum as a full-blown gladiator. Training along-side various members of the Corvus family, and his main instructor, who was a full-blood Fanalis, Apollo would begin rapidly raising through the ranks. However, this sudden burst of strength would suddenly come to a stand-still. It was finally time for Apollo to go past the limits of a normal gladiator. Training with his superiors would only net him so far, as Apollo tends to learn things much easier by himself. From then on, Apollo would make sure to spend plenty of time training each day with his beast. Power wasn't the only thing he needed to increase though, as his communication with his beast needed to be worked on before anything. He hoped to eventually impress his Aunt, Minerva, as she would one day grant him one of her custom-bred beasts. However, he needed to become much stronger than he currently is to obtain one, to become strong like Diana.
Even though Rima didn’t hesitate to knock on the door, she was not at all prepared for what was behind it. The silver haired man awaiting inside was unlike any man she had met prior, with silver eyes that pierced into her very soul like a sharp blade. Both her face and the Rukh around her turned a bright pink color, giving her a much more lively appearance than normal. The way she felt was strange and new, especially for someone who typically liked women instead. She tried to think about it for a second, but this was undoubtedly the first man to have ever made her feel like this.

A cold sweat began to form on the back of her neck as she continued to stare at him, even as he made his way over to the table and was pouring a glass of water for her. Instead of saying anything, she stayed quiet as she fast-walked over to the chair he had pulled out for her. Sitting down, she was surprised to find that the gentleman began pushing her in, as if he were some fancy waiter in an expensive restaurant. Her eyes then peered over towards the suspicious glass of water he had poured for her. She did her best to remember what Diana had warned her about beforehand, but she couldn’t quite remember the exact word she had used for it. “You didn’t impale this drink by any chance, did you?” she asked him, nodding her head as if to verify what she had just said.

Without even waiting for an answer from him, Rima would grip the glass in her hand and bring it up to her light-plum colored lips. The cold water entering her mouth was almost orgasmic, as she rarely had the chance to drink anything other than lukewarm water. “Delicious.” she would say, slamming the empty glass with a lipstick stain on the table. Clearing her throat, she would finally begin her brief explanation. “Um, this is my room, the manager gave me this slip of paper.” she would say, placing down a piece of paper with the number nine on it, or perhaps it was actually the number six. As she awaited his response, she would begin tapping her neatly manicured nails against the table.
