Personality: Sayaki is best described as a laid back person. She respects traditions enough to follow them in instances where they are necessary, but for the most part she does whatever she wants. Despite her heritage she is more of an adventurous spirit than anything. Her desire is to see the farthest reaches of the world. Traveling isn't simply her goal though, its more so that she believes if she sees the world she will find something to believe in. Because of her family, her loyalties are with the Kou empire, but in reality she doesn't care much who she serves. Given that she is a Magician, Sayaki is very connected with nature, which likely fuels her desire to see expanses of the world.
In social situations Sayaki is very passive and easygoing. Being that she is a bit of a tomboy and women from Kou are generally preferred to be very feminine and traditional, she has almost never been approached by a male in an romantic way. Because of this, despite not being a very shy person, situations of that nature make her incredibly awkward.
Battle is where Sayaki is most comfortable, being gifted with abilities as a Magician since a young age she has always had an inclination towards improving her magic. She was often urged to go to Magnostadt in order to reach her full potential but the academy setting doesn't really suit her style. Instead she teaches herself as much as possible, either through just practice or through studying any form of literature on the topic of Magic that she can get her hands on in Kou.
Likes:
- Adventuring - Just traveling and seeing new things is like an ever expanding source of knowledge for Sayaki, it gives her a constantly changing perspective on the world which drives her forward.
- Drinking - Probably the only way she gets through formal events without getting bored, Sayaki loves the fact that alcohol makes her more sociable and by extension she loves partying.
- Eating - A very random niche of Sayaki's is her excellent taste for food. Several famous chefs have hired her to test out their new dishes and she is well known in Kou for it. Few things make her happier than foreign foods.
- Experience - Be it learning about magic, or how the world works, Sayaki's greatest joy in the world is furthering her wisdom and evolving her perspective on all things under the sun, by extension you could say she just enjoys life in general.
Dislikes:
- Constriction - Sayaki dislikes being tied down or prevented from things. Being born into a relatively strict family was difficult for her growing up because she was always told to dress a certain way and speak a certain way, but as a young adult she has made sure to exercise her independence. One downside of this is the fact that if you tell Sayaki she can't do something, often times she'll do it anyways (or at least try to) in order to prove a point.
- Narcissism - People that are self-centered and don't care about anyone but themselves get under Sayaki's skin. She isn't necessarily kind-hearted in nature but if someone has the capacity to help someone in need and refuses to do it, it is like a crime against humanity itself to her.
- Low Quality - Anything that isn't at the very least above average in quality is alien to her. This goes for food, clothing, accessories, items, and even housing. Growing up in a relatively wealthy family caused her to become a bit spoiled to the better things in life without her realizing it.
Aspirations: This is where Sayaki is a bit lost in life. She more or less aspires to find an aspiration. Granted she wants to attain knowledge and to see the world, but she knows that those things aren't what she wants to dedicate the entirety of her life to. Sayaki struggles to find something to believe in, and that is what she really wants to find in the world, a cause to live for. She can only hope that her adventures bring it to her.

- Suffocation - Being trapped in a dark room with no air, drowning in the deep expanse of the ocean, getting trapped in a vacuum. Anything of this sort is something that Sayaki dreads. This is likely because the feeling of helplessness associated with it.
- Loss of Control - Whether its loss of control of her mind, her body, her senses, Sayaki cant fathom the idea of losing her own free will. Anything that restricts her from moving her body the way she wants or thinking her own thoughts causes her to become nearly hysterical depending on the extremity of the loss of control.

Appearance: Sayaki was raised in a very rich family with very traditional values. Because of this she walks and acts very proper, which can be quite odd when coupled with her attitude and the unseemly way she usually dresses. Her most common outfit that she wears whenever she doesn't need to be formal is made up of a short red skirt and a tight-fitting white shirt with a blue collar.

However in the rare occasions that she is dressed up formally, such as dinners events, political events, and anywhere where she has to represent her family, Sayaki wears variously colored kimonos. They usually lean towards darker colors though.

History: A man of few words named Jie Zhèng and an elegant and kind-hearted woman named Sayaka Shishuin came together in marriage and started a family together. In time they had a little girl, the third of their children, that was given the name Sayaki. Her father was the head of security at one of the most popular entertainment facilities in Kou. Her mother was the daughter of the owner of the very same business. It goes without saying that her family was relatively wealthy, and having to represent her family name, Sayaki was forced to act and speak in certain ways. Anytime she acted improperly there would be strict punishment. The same went for her two older siblings and her one younger sister. Despite this her parents cared about their children deeply, and they were hardly abusive in any way. At a young age Sayaki became different from her siblings though. There was something about her that set her apart from everyone else, and no one really knew why. She grew up as a bit of a rebel child, she acted out consistently and had to be punished often. Whereas the other children rarely misbehaved and remained very dignified from a young age and on.
As Sayaki aged she came to realize that what her parents wanted her and her sisters to do with their lives was receive good educations and become proper women that would hopefully be married off to other powerful families and in turn increase the power and influence of their own family. The idea of this was dreadful to Sayaki, to spend her whole life as a glorified housewife was far from what she wanted to do with herself. It was around this time that her parents had her tested by a magician in Kou, and sure enough he was able to confirm that she had a aptitude for magic. This was a turning point in her life, it was an opportunity for her to break free from the linear lifestyle her parents had set out for her, and instead do her own thing, and besides, magic was really interesting to her. She had heard stories of magicians all over the world and their feats, so the idea that she could one day be like that was amazing, especially in the eyes of a young adolescent. The magician had told her parents that he could take her under his wing and teach her how to use magic and the basic principles, but they declined his offer, hoping they could try to simply ignore her abilities. This devastated Sayaki and alienated her even more from her family, her siblings became even more so detached from her and she was forced to become more or less a loner.
For the remainder of her time as a minor Sayaki lived the way her parents wanted her to. During this time though she spent a great deal of time studying books on all sorts of topics, mostly magic, but also on the outside world. As her studies continued she began to start practicing what she learned about magic, learning a few very basic spells. As her knowledge grew, so did her thirst for it, she began looking into forms of martial arts and numerous other forms of battle. By the time she turned eighteen, Sayaki decided it was time for her to leave, she told her parents that she desired to travel and learn more about magic and about the world. She didn't really ask for permission or their blessing, she simply told them how she felt and how things were going to be. Her father refused to speak with her afterwards, but her mother accepted it. Shortly thereafter Sayaki left the only place she had every been allowed to know behind and began her journey of the world, promising to return to Kou with the power and experience she needs to honor her family, but in her own way.

"Ahhhhh~" came a sigh of relief as Sayaki entered a small town, stretching her arms out. She had been on the road for a while now and she was exhausted, but she had just enough energy to have some fun. First things first though, shelter for the night. She made her way to the inn and, given the fact a lot of travelers stop in little towns such as these, the inn was pretty easy to find. Probably the most active establishments in the area, it was simple to pick out judging from the loud sounds and the constant stream of people coming in and out. She made her way inside and was welcome by the smell of alcohol and the kind of sweaty smell that you get when you put a bunch of bodies into one place. She looked around and saw that the entire first floor of the inn was a tavern. The area was pretty wide with a bar at either end and plenty of tables in between. It was pretty loud, with so many people talking and having fun, coupled with musicians playing to keep the festive atmosphere going. Sayaki took smiled and made her way up to the bar. "A room and a drink please." she said. The man turned and smiled to her, he was balding and had a bushy mustache, probably somewhere in his 40's. "Its good you came early! We are almost out of rooms, gonna be a busy night." he said with a smile. "I'm sure you're happy then." she replied with a laugh, the profits for the day were likely to be pretty good for the man. She put the necessary amount of huang on the counter and then waited for her drink, which came quickly thereafter.
~Several hours later~
"COME ON, ONCE MORE, PLAY IT AGAIN" begged Sayaki in front of one of the members of the band that had been playing all night. "Alright this is the last time though." he said with a grin as he started up the song they had been playing for at least forty minutes straight now. Victorious yet again, Sayaki climbed on top of the nearest table and went back to dancing. Her interest waned though and she stopped long enough to look around. Once she acquired her target she reached towards a man that was laughing nearby and took him by the hand, coaxing him to join her. The festivities went on until late and Sayaki stumbled to her room and crawled into bed once things had died down.
