After selling off all the loot he'd obtained from the dungeon, Yakuroro had opted to stop traveling by flying carpet. The Jade Mountains were a beautiful place to travel by foot, but the reason behind this change in mode of transportation was more practical in nature. From here on, Yakuroro would be heading deeper into the Zou empire's territory where a duo flying by magic carpet would stick out as potential threats. Here in the mountains the would be able to easily out run and hide from any outposts or patrols that spotted them. But past the mountains that task would only become more and more difficult as reports of intruding enemies spread throughout Zou's efficient information network.
Being on foot negated the risk of these problems and would allow Yakuroro and his traveling companion to be a bit less conspicuous. Of course, this was assuming a Finalis and an Imuchakk traveling together wasn't too suspicious on its own. As Yakuroro pondered this issue he eventually came to a solution! Or at least the general idea of what he'd need to do. It would be impossible not to stand out, so Yaku and his party needed a cover that would allow them to stand out in a more natural manner. Ideas on how to go about this had been tossed around Yaku's mind over the past three days spent selling off the gold from the dungeon across several smaller villages hidden in the mountains.
Today he was walking on a dirt path that zig zagged through a heavily forested valley. Yaku's flying carpet was neatly tied around his waist in place of an obi to keep his blue robes closed and his appearance somewhat more decent. Much of his chest was still exposed including the Seabeast tattoo's on either breast. The weather was pleasant today and there weren't many travelers on the road. It was rather peaceful, or at least it would be so long as Vasilias didn't open his yapper. But Yakuroro knew that it was inevitable so he set out two hours earlier than they'd agreed upon the previous evening. This would ensure the Imuchakk had at least SOME time to enjoy the peace of nature without interruption. However with his slow pace and Vasilias' determination to watch Yaku, the blue mage was sure it was only a matter of time before the Finalis caught up...
