Ever since he had joined the rebellion, Azix had dedicated most of his time to the cause. While it pulled him away from his efforts at providing more opportunities for his workforce program, he had the support of not only the staff at Opportunity Hall, but the workers themselves. While the gears on that kept turning, the orange magician looked for other ways to assist the rebellion's efforts. One thing they had a surplus of was volunteer soldiers which lacked experience. While he wasn't much of a fighter, Azix figured he could at least provide combat experience through sparring for those apt at close-combat. If he was lucky enough to find magicians, Azix would be able to aid their research and hone their skill with magoi.

With Octavius' help, Azix spread word through the rebellion's channels that he would be offering training for any interested. 'Bring blade, axe, stave, wand, or whatever you can wield and meet at the Trusty Steed,' went the message. Everyone was to meet at the tavern in two days time.

The day of the training, Azix arrived early to prepare before his students arrived. With his Twist Reality spell, he formed an illusion of an old graying man around himself and sat at the bar. His wand was held in the palm of his hand and hidden under the long sleeves of his illusion's robe. He gestured to the barkeeper for an ale while he cast Phantasm's Redirection to create an illusion of a large warrior sitting at a table nearby. The illusory form was huddled over a book of magic and while it would make no noise, it was completely solid and felt real to the touch.

Azix clutched the mug of ale that was handed to him and slurped the foam loudly before gulping half of it down. With his preparations complete, he drank quietly to himself while he waited for people to arrive.

Having received an invitation to train, Adrastos Thanatos, a blue magician, arrived at the Trusty Steed by noon when the sun was high and business was busy in the streets. He wore black pants, a black top, a thin black overcoat, and his feet were bare. In his right hand, he held a black wooden staff with black metal at both ends that stood as tall as its owner. His white silvery hair was long, really long, at least down to his lower back, and his silver eyes looked over the people that were already in the bar.
There was the bartender who stood behind the counter, an old withering man with thinning white hair and folds creased into his ancient flesh drinking ale, and finally a large warrior that made no sound as he was hunch over, readinga magic book. Adrastos' eyes narrowed at th warrior. Why would a warror be reading a magic book? Of course, there were reasons, but he didn't seem like the type of person who would learn magic since his physical appearance screamed brute force. However, in the past, especialy in his last four matches in the Coliseum, he knew not to judge based on appearance, that a noblewoman was just as deadly as trained assassin.

Adrastos decided to sit at one end of the counter, the side closest to the old man who quietly sipped his ale. "Can I help you with something?" Adrastos looked up, his eyes locking with the bartender's. "Some ale would be nice, I suppose." Adrastos wasn't going to drink it though. He'd let it sit there in front of him while he waited. The problem was that he wasn't sure what to do. He as told to meet at the Trusty Steed With anything he cold bring. All the blue magician had was his staff, some huang, and the clothes on his body. That part had been done, but who was he suppose to meet? If they were here already, tha meant it was either the old man or the warrior who sat by himself. Hell, it could have been the bartender for all he knew. So, the question remained, now that he was here, what was he suppose to do? Wait? Approach the warrior? Approach the elderly man? Adrastos looked around discretely from the corner of his harsh silver eyes. How many more would come here because of the offer to train? It was difficult to say. All Adrastos could really do was wait.

The bartender place a mug of ale in front of the silver-eyed man then went about his business. Adrastos looked down at the mug without reaching toward it. He never had any form of alcohol. Yet now, he was half tempted to take a sip. The blue magician instead leaned casually against his staff; it wasn't enough to fall over, but it was enough to where he knew he had balance and wouldn't tilt off the stool.

It wasn't long before the Fanalis was back in Reim. He could proudly say, however, that he had experienced his first skirmish. Though it wasn't that successful in his mind. They were on their way to gaining the upper hand in the situation and then the bottom fell out on their heads. They were outnumbered ten-to-one. So, Bahir's group did what was best for them at that time... retreat. Of course, it wasn't the most 'honorable' way to end the battle, but it allowed for the strike force to still be useful to the rebellion in some form or fashion. The assassin had yet to count himself out, and he could only hope that Octavius would be able to use him in the future for more than just being a meat shield.

As he was resting at his temporary home, he received a message from the very man he hoped would be able to use him. Unfortunately, the message didn't come with as good of news as the fanalis would have enjoyed. Apparently there was a veteran soldier training the members of the rebellion so that they weren't all just a bunch of idiots with sharp sticks. These weren't the words in the message, but it is what Bahir's mind translated it to. He knew it to be a fact. Cnaeus, Serelius, and himself were like that on the field. Bahir was trained moreso for stealthy assassinations, rather than head-to-head combat. Perhaps this could turn out to be a good thing. He could use this to better himself and his new arsenal...

Two days had passed since Bahir received the letter and the fanalis felt it time to move. He dressed in his all white outfit, still wearing clothes reminiscent of the standard dress of Balbadd. He walked through the city with his weapons on his sides: his triple stick hanging from his left hip and his shadow's fang hanging from his right hip, heading towards a tavern called the Trusty Steed. When he arrived, Bahir took no time in finding a seat close to the door. He scanned the people around him quickly, looking for any familiar faces from his few rebellion meetings. Unfortunately, none of the people he saw seemed familiar. He did keep in mind that not the entirety of the rebellion were fanalis. There was a completely separate faction meeting.

This made the fanalis adjust his search. Not only did he seek out fanalis soldiers, but those who seemed like they were battle-hardened veterans. His eyes landed on a man who was dressed as a warrior, weapon on hip, and reading some kind of book. Bahir figured that this was the man he was searching for. He smoothly walked over to the man and sat across from him. "Were you the one who sent us all the message?" After a few moments of no response from the man, Bahir reached over and tried to nudge him a bit to draw his attention from the book.

Aengar so far had only involved himself with Kandir and training with his friends. But he did little training outside of that with other people. But he had received a letter noting that he had been invited to train with other people on his equal level or higher this for Aengar would be exciting. The letter noted that he would have an opportunity to train with a very strong magician who works with the Reim workforce program. This would give give Aengar the opportunity to hone his ability to create spells and use Magoi, for Aengar this would bring great pleasure to become stronger and get better at using magic.

Aengar heard of this opportunity by hearing about it through the rebellion channels, Aengar normally hadn't involved himself with the politics of this human kingdom. But getting the opportunity to train with other magicians besides Kandir and his comrades. The letter itself went "Bring blade, axe, stave, wand, or whatever you can wield and meet at the Trusty Steed". Aengar had never been to the Trusty Steed but taking the journey to the place to receive training didn't bother Aengar.

Aengar entered the bar looking around he noticed a man with a wand in hand it maybe possible that he could be the magic instructor for this training he saw a man that he had met previously before during a job.

Azix tilted his head back to drain his mug as a silver-haired man entered the tavern. When the man approached the bar, Azix set the empty mug on the counter and let out a content sigh. He gestured to the bartender to fill his mug up as well and turned to study the darkly clothed man. Azix quickly noted that he was looking at a magician by the tall staff he carried with him and looked back to see that his mug had been refilled. Without hesitation, Azix took a deep gulp of the ale, his Twist Reality spell sustained so he continued to look the part of a drunk, elderly man.

A few moments later, Azix was briefly reminded of Yakuroro when an Imuchakk magician entered the room. Another man also entered, dressed in a white suit with weapons at either hip. Out of the three who entered, this man seemed the most eager to learn, seeking what would appear the most obvious target in the tavern. The note had instructed bring either the weapons of a warrior or a mage, so the warrior sitting in the corner, reading a book of magic fit that bill. The man would receive no response from the warrior, as it was simply an illusion created by Azix with Phantasm's Redirection. However, when Bahir nudged the illusions, the warrior would slowly look up with an annoyed look on his face before lurching forward to strike Bahir's closest shoulder.

At the same, Azix cast Force Wall to form a small wall about the size of a palm and sent it towards Adrastos' mug to knock it from his hands. Azix's wand was still hidden beneath his illusion and he made no sudden movements to betray his intent.

Regardless of how either Bahir or Adrastos responded, the illusion around Azix would suddenly fade away. Azix wore a black shirt and pants under a long brown coat that came down to his black boots. He wore an eyepatch over his left eye, partially hidden by his chin length black hair. He would then hop out of his seat, tossing some coins on the counter to pay for the drinks and head for the door. "You must always be vigilante and aware of your surroundings. That is your first lesson. Come, follow me."

Without waiting to see if they would follow, Azix left the tavern and began heading out the city gates nearby. He would lead them out into a field before he stopped and turned around to see if they followed. Azix glanced at each individual, attempting to gauge their skill with a blank expression on his face. They all looked like they had some combat experience, but he wasn't sure how much. The best way to find that out was through a good ol' fight.

Azix got into a fighting stance with his wand held in his left hand and gestured for them to do the same. "Alright, first one to break my Borg gets doesn't have to do fifty push-ups." He stood at the ready to intercept their attacks and test their skill.

Adrastos was minding his own business, looking around to see who could have been possible candidates in the training that was mentioned in the invitation. After he had entered the tavern, a Fanalis that wore the traditional dress of Balbadd with two objects strapped to either side of his hip.The second person to walk in surprised the blue mage. It was the Imuchakk orange magician that he had encountered in two previous jobs: the one with the Gothens and the most recent one concerning the Chimeras. He also received a summons? Adrastos then shook his head to himself. It's not like the invitations were sent out to specific people, Adrastos, he scolded. His eyes studied the Imuchakk for a moment before swaying back to his mug, still keeping the other two within his line of sight in the corner of his eyes.

The man dressed in white sat down across the warrior who was reading the magic book and attempted to speak with him. When the gruff gave no response, the Fanalis nudged the warrior to get his attention. The warrior lunged in an attempt to strike the Fanalis' shoulder. Does he have to react so hostile? thought the blue magician as he gripped his staff tightly in his hand. However, before Adrastos could really react, his mug of ale tilted over, spilling all of its bubbly contents all over the place, soaking into his black pants. He cursed, standing up on his feet and looking at his now soaked clothes. He'd smell like an alcoholic for days if he didn't wash this out soon. The silver eyes of the magician searched the room to find the cause of his ale tipping. They rested on the old man who had been casually sitting there, drinking his ale.

Before his very eyes, Adrastos gazed upon the old man as he transformed into a young man with chin length black hair, black pants, black boots, a long, brown coat, and an eyepatch over his left eye. A light magician, thought Adrastos, just like the Imuchakk.

For a moment, a very brief moment, there was only silence until the young mage spoke, saying, "You must always be vigilante and aware of your surroundings. That is your first lesson. Come, follow me." He then walked out, not even glancing back to check if they were following him. Adrastos wasted no time. He didn't want to lose the man, so he swiftly followed him through the streets, out of the gates, and to an empty field. The field vaguely reminded the silver-haired man of his own personal training spot when he trained most of his earlier spells. Adrastos turned his attention to the orange mage, listening to the next words that flowed past his lips after he had gotten into a fighting stance, his wand now visible in left hand.  "Alright, first one to break my Borg gets doesn't have to do fifty push-ups." The first task had been set. It sounded like a taunt almost, which slightly angered Adrastos, but he kept a level head.

First to break his Borg, eh? Adrastos thought as he too got into his own fighting stance. He kept one foot forward and the other one back, holding his black wooden staff in both hands, pointing one end at the black haired man with the eyepatch. I can't just assume it'll break easy. If he's the one who sent the invitation, which that is highly possible if not certain, then I doubt it will break easy. Adrastos looked at the other mage carefully. What would it take to break his Borg? It was difficult to gauge his strength, but his confidence showed that he was probably strong. Unless, it's just boastful talk. The blue mage took a deep breath in, clearing his mind to focus on the task he was given: to try and break this magician's Borg.

Adrastos hit one end of his staff on the ground, casting Congelo Cado first, followed by Aqua Canno II which he used when he held his staff outward in a horizontal position. Promptly after those spells were casted, Adrastos casted two more: Aqua Fluctus and Glacies Spica. He didn't dare to smirk in case the attacks didn't work and be scolded by this man as he had when he was told to always be vigilant. Instead, his eyes remained on his target, keeping the other two in his side vision, and waited for what would come next.

What happened next was legitimately unexpected. Of course, the fanalis should have expected it after the "man" gave him the look after being nudged. His inquisition was met by the man's fist colliding with his shoulder. Bahir backed up a bit from the impact and his right hand went up to his left shoulder to check the area. The Fanalis felt no tenderness in he area so he decided the hit wasn't too powerful. The reason was soon revealed to him as the man faded. The fanalis tried to contain his anger until he heard a voice that was familiar to him. It was one of the voices that he called 'commander,' not too long ago. Bahir's eyes shifted and noticed that the old man that was at the bar was no longer there. Sitting there in his place, was a much younger man with medium length hair and an eye patch. The man's features reminded him of a Kou citizen and upon further inspection of the person in front of him, Bahir recognized the magician. It was Azix. The very reason why his mission in Ostia was somewhat of a success, and the reason he was able to escape with his life.

Putting that memory in the back of his mind, the fanalis spy looked at his current situation. So Azix was the one who felt that the volunteers need some type of training. At least it was someone who was well established. Bahir's focus shifted when he noticed that there was another person there who had come for the training, who had long silver hair and wore all black. The fanalis soldier took a quick glance of the person's face and perceived it to be a female. However, her frame seemed to be very masculine. It was a very confusing situation for Bahir. Was it a woman or man?! He didn't know. He wouldn't particularly care as long as he didn't have to speak to her.

As he exited the tavern, the other person was with him. Ten meters (10m) away from the two of them was Azix Niraj. The light magician issued forth a challenge to the two trainees, offering for them to destroy his borg. However, the one who actually destroyed the defense mechanism would be spared the physical punishment of fifty push ups. Bahir mentally chuckled at the number, not finding it that much of a problem. However, they did have to destroy this man's borg. Bahir had a flashback of the light magician's strength. A slight shiver went down the fanalis's spine, imagining the Azix Niraj from Ostia. He prayed to all things good that he would not have to experience that man now. Shaking himself free of those fears, Bahir noticed that the other person accepted the challenge without a word. However, he noticed that the perceived woman gripped her stiff a bit more and things started to get weird...

Another magician?! Dammit! He noticed the massive wave of ice and water and Bahir did what he had to to get out of the way of the assault. He used his Hunter's lunge to get out of the way, leaping five meters (5m) to the left in a diagonal from the waves. His quick thinking put him out of range of the apparent water magician's spells, but also decreased the gap to eight meters (8m). Bahir figured that the impacts would weaken the magician's borg quite a bit. Bahir knew that he needed a way to hit the borg hard and fast without getting too close. He used his left hand to reach for the handle of his knife and remembered his spikes. oh yeah.. let's see how fast these can go! he thought as he threw two of the spikes as hard as he could, sending them flying at 20m/s.

Aengar wasn't the only person who received a summons in the corner of his eye he spotted Neo the man who he had completed some jobs with but he also saw another man he looked to be Fanalis and he seemed mighty suspicious. Aengar watched from the backed not wanting to make any sudden moves for all he knew this could be a trap to bring the rebellion together and for them all to be crushed by a single opponent so Aengar would re frame from making any sudden moves. Aengar studied both the man reading the magic book, and the other two for now these would be his priority. Aengar watched as the Fanalis man approached the man reading the magic book trying to strike up a conversation but in some way was lunged at Aengar thought to himself “Why is the man so hostile” the man seemed like a snow wolf of the north, gentle till you touch it's tail. Aengar held his staff tighter being prepared for any possible combat that would have a chance of happening Aengar surveyed the room everyone here looked like average citizens from thet working class but only 3 stood out of the ordinary. As Aengar watched he observed the man Neo getting his cup of ale split over himself this seemed to subside the rather hostile mood of the area. Aengar then watched as Neo ran frantic trying to remove the smell of ale from himself. Neo then bumps into the man sitting at bar. Aengar watched the marvel of the same magic that Neo saw that old man became a young kicker. He was a light magician no other magic could pull such a marvel. This young man was possibly the man who had summoned them here he was a powerful light magician stronger than Aengar. Aengar watched as the man spoke and they all followed him out Aengar reared. Aengar watched as the man challenged them with a task to break his Borg. But what good would it do but show a mental prospect of what each of them were capable of.

The silver-haired man reacted without hesitation, immediately drawing tiny flocks of Rukh, but Azix stood his ground. A flutter of blue proceeded Adrastos' first spell, which caught Azix's attention. 'Ah, a water magician,' he mused to himself, reminded of Garret. 'How should I respond,' Azix hummed softly to himself as several three-foot long shards of ice started to form above him.

Azix decided not to rely on magic as his three students might expect, but instead get creative. He sent his magoi into his hair and it started to grow. Rapidly. In less than a second his chin length hair slithered along the ground. As the shards rained down, Azix's hair flicked left and right deflecting the attacks. Swish. Swash. Whiplash.

Of course, the silver-haired magician hadn't been idle during this time and sent a pressurized stream of water at Azix. A solid followup with an aerial distraction, but it would also find itself impeded by Azix's wild hair. Out of the corner of Azix's vision he saw movement to his right and turned just in time to notice a man throw two projectiles. His hair flicked over to deflect the throwing spikes inches from his arm. Azix spared a moment to look closer at the man and recognize him, "Bahir? Is that you?"

That distraction opened Azix up for Adrastos last two spells; the first being a large wave that was followed up by three large ice spears. Azix's Borg flared up to take both attacks, but Adrastos did manage to chip the magoi barrier. The orange magician gave the silver haired man a side-long glance, noticing the differences between this man's spells and Garret's. Azix briefly wondered if there was a reason behind it, such as a reflection of one's personality.

Azix held up his hand when he realized that the Imuchakk magician had yet to join the fray. "Hold on a moment." Azix pointed to the silver-haired man, "You did good to get to my Borg. What's your name?" After the man responded, Azix would then point to the Imuchakk. "And yours? Why haven't you attacked?"

After getting their responses, Azix would introduce himself, "My name is Azix Niraj. Now, as your teacher, I must say I hope you all have something more than this. Come on! Break my Borg!" He threw up his hands and got into stance once more with a look of disappointment on his face. Out of the corner of his eye, Azix noticed that his long locks of hair were soaked and frayed at the edges with bits of ice stuck in them.

The man's reaction time was quite impressive, Adrastos would give him that. The way he also deflected his attacks was somewhat alien, and only really familiar because of his time spent in Kou before he had ventured to Magnostadt. What was is called again? Body Manipulation? Adrastos thought as the orange magician deflected his spell his not only his Borg, but his wild hair which had grown until it almost resembled black, slithering snakes on the ground below. I can't let myself get distracted. I still have to break that damn thing.

Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw the Fanalis jump into action, probably to get out of his line of fire as well as give him some distance before attacking. However, he used no spells like himself and the other two, but rather threw two projectiles at the magician before them. That was when the orange magician had made his mistake. By allowing himself to be distracted with the Fanalis' identity, which had been  identified, as Bahir, Adrastos' last two attack had struck, only to be blocked by the Borg he had just barely managed to get up. Ha! Chipped the Borg! It wasn't a whole lot of big, talk now was it? He made sure to keep his face emotionless. Adrastos noticed a side-long that was directed at him, but was unable to tell the reason behind such a look.

The magician held up his hands, most likely as a gesture to hold our assault for now. "Hold a moment," Adrastos heard him say. The man pointed to him first. "You did good to get to my Borg. What's your name?" Adrastos kept a calm face, not giving anything away as he spoke his next words. "My name is Neo Mortem." The magician then pointed to the Imuchakk. He had yet to attack, but based on Adrastos' previous jobs, he concluded that this man was not combat ready with his hesitation to jump in a fight and should be used as a support. That hesitation could him him and future allies given the correct circumstances. "And yours? Why haven't you attacked?"
After the Imuchakk gave his name -- it was the first time for Adrastos to hear it --, the stranger finally introduced himself. "My name is Azix Niraj. Now, as your teacher, I must say I hope you all have something more than this. Come on! Break my Borg!" His hands were thrown up again as he got into his stance with a rather disappointed look on his face. Something more? Adrastos narrowed his eyes a bit in determination at the challenge, it wasn't really noticeable, but the movement was still there. You asked for it, and I don't care who gets in the cross fires. They best be quick to move.

Adrastos went into action, holding no hesitation, as he flung another barrage of spells at the light magician. The blue mage casted Glaciem Aqua Sagitta by pointing his staff directly at Azix. The arrows, first looking to be water, turned to ice before making any sort on contact. Prompty afterward, Aqua Cyclonas and Aqua Cyclonas II were casted back to back. With just one spell, there would only be ten or fifteen swirling cyclones of high-pressured water, but with both, there was twenty-five cyclones -- if you wanted to count the last few  very brief moments the first spell was still active -- that spun in a seemingly random formation before surrounding Azix closing in on him. This made the blue mage jump back, his movements as graceful as a swiftly flowing river but as cold as ice, a couple of feet back as water sprayed everywhere.

His eyes never left Azix as he wondered what the man would do. He hoped he had taken out the Borg, but even with his earlier flurry of spells, he had only managed to chip it. Now what, Azix, Bahir, and Aengar?

Bahir watched as Azix deflected the first half of the water magician's spells and Bahir's spikes. He could only curse himself mentally and think of another way to combat the magician. He was starting to understand why Octavius and the other Fanalis of the corps despised magicians. They were ridiculously tricky to combat. At least, when there were more than one around. He knew how he WANTED to assault Azix... but there was one thing that was getting in his way. Bahir was torn from his thoughts when he heard Azix's voice. So the man finally recognized him. He grinned and nodded at the magician and caught the ice and water from the corner of his eye. The Fanalis flipped backwards to get a bit more space between him and Azix, and whatever debris from the water magician's attacks.

After the air cleared a bit, Bahir could notice that Azix's borg was starting to chip. Hm. I guess that massive barrage was pretty effecting. Bahir grinned at Azix's comments and his right hand went to the hilt of his dagger, pulling it out and getting in his fighting stands. His right hand was brought up so that his dagger handle was in line with his mouth and his forearm was parallel with his shoulders. His left arm was brought up and extended passed his right, almost as if he were reaching for something while keeping his elbow bent. He kept his knees fairly bent, his body low to the ground, with his left foot in front. He almost looked like he was in a sprinting position. Bahir leaned forward to charge Azix until he saw more water be conjured by the other magician. dammit... wait... The Fanalis narrowed his eyes and drew two more of his spikes.

Bahir watched the water castings and timed his throws to between between the castings. With his spikes moving at 10m/s, Bahir planned on taking away any down time Azix would receive. Planning for his spikes to hit in-between Neo's spells.

Azix smiled at the man called Neo reacted without hesitation and pointed his staff at the orange magician. Little flickers of blue Rukh proceeded the formation of ten water arrows which launched towards Azix. As they approached the orange magician, the arrow's state would shift from liquid to solid. That bit of info went unnoticed by Azix who was busy casting his own spell. A Large Force Wall ten meters in length and width formed before him. To Neo, he would see the wall radiate a black, inky light, while Bahir would notice a translucent shimmer streak through the air. The two spells would clash against each other in a burst of magoi.

As expected Neo continued his stream of spells, conjuring nearly two dozen water cyclones that filled the space between him and Azix. The orange magician looked in awe at the creative use of the blue magician's spells while his mind searched his options. Most of the spells he had available to clash against the cyclones would catch his students in the crossfire. While it might not pose a problem to Neo, the magician had a Borg, but Bahir did not. Instead, Azix stood his ground as the cyclone grouped up and slammed into his Borg.

While the cyclones distracted Azix, Bahir sent two spikes at him which also struck his Borg. Between both students, they had managed to destroy the magical barrier. As the dust settled, Azix began to slowly clap, "Congratulations, you succeeded. Except the Imchakk, I still haven't seen you-" Azix blinked and looked around, where had the Imchakk gone?

He gave up and shrugged his shoulders, "Oh well, where was I? Oh yes, I was lying before. You both have to do push-ups still." Azix flashed an evil grin before dropping to the ground. He spread his arms to shoulder-width apart and his back straight before pushing his body up, counting out as he finished the movement. Then he dipped his body down and continued the process, watching to make sure his students were doing the same, until they had performed fifty push-ups.

Afterwards, Azix took them on a light jog around the outside of the city walls, for several laps. The rest of the day would be spent performing various exercises to increase their cardio and body strength. If Neo asked how it would help him learn magic, Azix would simply smile and ignore the question. It had a purpose, but the question would remain unanswered until he revealed it.

At the end of the day, Azix led them to a tavern where he paid for food and drinks. He would wait till their bodies were full before dragging them outside to sit under the stars. Azix would gather them around a campfire and clear his throat. "This next part of the training will be for the mind. There will be magic theory involved, I hope you don't mind, Bahir. You might find it helpful to learn, even if you aren't a magician. I promise I will teach you something you can use by the end of it though."

Azix took a deep breath before continuing, "Now, as I'm sure you know, Neo, there are eight 'elements' of magic. Each element has it's own uses, some more powerful than others. Each element appears naturally in the world and can be differentiated by the color of the Rukh. Neo, I imagine you noticed a flutter of black Rukh when I cast that earlier spell, yes? You'll see the same in nature at times, for instance during the rain you can see flocks of blue Rukh if you look carefully.

My earlier spell was a strength spell which sent a wave of force outward. Strength magic is used to harness the same forces of the world, like gravity. Next, we have light magic which has a plethora of uses from creating beams of light, disguises, illusions, etc. Those spells give off orange Rukh. There is also life magic which is purple. It is a strong magic type that can be used for healing, detecting life forms, growing life forms, and more. Sound magic turns the Rukh green with a few uses, such as creating loud sounds and muffling dialogue. Water magic is blue and can be used to control water and ice. Since you are familiar with that one, I won't go into more detail.

There is also wind magic which gives off a white color and gives control over wind, obviously. Lightning magic is scary and has a yellow tint. The last is Heat magic, which gives off a reddish tint. While mainly used for creating fireballs, there are other uses."

Azix exhaled and shifted into a more comfortable sitting position. "There are a few other basic magics, but those are the most common. With those basic elements, more advanced magicians can combine them to increase their potency. For example, I can combine strength and light to create shadow magic." Azix's wand appeared in his hand and he cast Shadow Spawn. Suddenly, a ten meter large tentacled creature stood beside Azix. The creature's appearance was horrific with its tentacles writhing and an inky substance dripped down its body. It vanished as quick as it appeared and Azix hummed to himself. 'I need to think of nicer things...'

Azix looked between Neo and Bahir with a grin on his face. "Now that I have properly bored you with a lecture, it is time to teach you something you both can find useful. I am going to show you how to meditate which allows you to alter your state of mind. The breathing exercises you will learn have been beneficial to me in many different circumstances. In stressful situations, it allows me to drown out the distractions of my thoughts and emotions, helping me focus on my objective."

Azix straightened his back and inhaled a slow, deep breath through his nose. Holding it for a few moments, Azix exhaled and equally slow, deep breath. He instructed them to do the same and provided pointers before telling them to close their eyes. "Still your mind by imagining your thoughts as a river coursing through your inner landscape. Now imagine them floating away with each breath, the river appearing further and further away, until there is nothingness.

The training regimen would continue this way for the next few days, sparring in the mornings, exerting themselves physically, and then meditating in the evenings. Bahir and Neo would find themselves drifting off to sleep easier at nights after meditating. They would also find themselves more conscious of their body and its reactions.

On the final evening, Azix would look to Neo. "You asked why you had to do these exercises? Try using a spell now." Azix would watch as the blue magician called to the Rukh and waited for Neo to feel the difference. While working himself not only mentally, but physically, Neo's control over magoi and the spell itself would feel stronger. Azix would give Neo a knowing smile before signaling for them to begin their last meditation session together.

Adrastos watched as Azix blocked his arrow spell with a wall of jet black light. Soon after, his cyclones his, along with a glimmer of light that bounced off of a thrown projectile. Damn that Fanalis, thought Adrastos. However, in the end, the orange magician's Borg broke due the the combination of both students' attacks.  The man gradually applauded the performance of the blue magician and the Fanalis. "Congratulations, you succeeded. Except the Imuchakk, I still haven't seen you-" Azix stopped mid-sentence to looked around with a bewildered expression almost. The Imuchakk had left. Weakling, Adrastos thought to himself. I guess he got scared and ran away.

The blue made watched as Azix shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well, where was I? Oh yes, I was lying before. You both have to do push-ups still." A deceitful smile spread across his face as he fell to the ground and got into a push-up position. Adrastos followed suit immediately, gearing his mind for training that wasn't all that different than what he was use to. This was the start of a long series of training exercises and lectures, most of which that probably bored the Fanalis since he did not know magic.

For days, Adrastos allowed himself to be trained by this magician. Of course, most of it he had learned from his first official magician trainer while in Kou and in Magnostadt. He didn't utter a single complaint though. For awhile, he listened to the dull monotone teachings that he had heard millions of times. Hell, he even meditated along with him. But he was tired of magic for now. He felt like he knew enough. Now, he was interested in something else.

Adrastos looked at Azix and Bahir for a moment in silence on the final day of their training. "Learning all of this has been enlightening, Azix, and I thank you for giving me the time to train with you, but I'm afraid I must ask a personal favor. From both of you." The blue magician gripped his staff tightly and took a deep breath. "Recently, I have found that I need more than just magic to fight my opponents. Not only that, but I wish to know how to fight with my hands and a sword instead of only water tricks." He bowed his head, mentally hating this gesture since it showed him as a weak individual most likely. "It would mean a lot if you could help train me to learn such skills that would allow me to wield a blade."

Some time had passed in which nothing was said. Neither Bahir or Azix responded to his request, giving the blue mage the impression that they were unable to teach him the way of the sword and how to fight in hand-to-hand combat. It was a pity, but luckily, he had a back-up plan in case there were no other options. Adrastos cleared his throat. "Actually," he said, "I think I have stolen too much of your precious time as it is. I thank you for allowing me to partake in this training. Perhaps one day we shall meet again."

Adrastos bowed and turned away, spinning on his heels, and walked away. Before he could learn how to fight with a sword, he thought it was time to learn another magic type. Only one person could do that, and he was located back in another country. As the sky darkened to ink, the blue magician made a decision to travel the world and train from the masters he had chosen while he was first in Kou. The training would be dangerous. He wasn't guaranteed to survive, but that's what made it more enjoyable. His first stop: Magnostadt.

Bahir was a little surprised that his and Adrastos' efforts to break the borg were successful that time. He actually expected Azix to blow them away finally. He had seen a bit of what the light magician could do, but the Azix he saw in Ostia was somehow different from the Azix before him. He wasn't clad in the green armor like before and his sword wasn't present. Perhaps there was something extra to him? It seems as though that "extra" was what Bahir had seen. This man seemed like a standard, skilled magician. This was made doubly apparent when the borg shattered completely. A grin grew over Bahir's face. Got it! A few seconds passed and he came to a realization... which one of them dealt the last blow?

His question was soon answered when Azix said that they both were to do pushups. Bahir took this as they either hit at the same time... or Azix was just playing a game with them from the beginning. Bahir figured it was the latter as he dropped down without a second thought and started doing the pushups. The exercise was basic and it was something that Bahir was completely used to doing. He was seemingly blowing through these push ups and did sixty for good measure. He knew that it would be easier for him than Adrastos, if he was your garden variety magician, and wanted to get the same amount of fatigue from it. He figured ten extra would be enough. Azix seemed to be full of energy, though. After the push ups, the magician started to take off in a jog. Bahir raised his right eyebrow at the gesture and watched as Adrastos soon followed suit. Bahir chuckled a bit to himself and shrugged before following after them.

When the exercise was said and done, Azix sat the two of them down and started some explanation. At first, Bahir didn't understand what he was talking about, but started to hone in once he realized that it was information pertaining to one of the few things in life that he had no idea about: magic! The words that seemed to be muffled to the fanalis quickly became clear and he was absorbing the information. So... rukh is the key to magic? Hm. I've gotta find out more about this rukh.. he mused as the lecture continued. Bahir was eventually informed on the different styles of magic and what magic Azix used. He noticed that the so called 'orange magician' didn't speak on the green armor that he had before. Even so, Azix seemed competent with both Light and Strength magic. Things Bahir would also have to look out for.

Soon the magician started speaking about meditation. Finally something Bahir had some sort of knowledge about again. He joined Azix and Adrastos in their meditation and allowed his body to relax. As he closed his eyes, he opened his ears and let all of the sound around him be his clue for safety.

After the three of them finished their meditating, Adrastos asked for a favor from Azix and Bahir. He wanted to become less dependant on his magic and allow for his body to be a weapon as well. Bahir thought this request over. Should he really teach a magician how to be handy with a blade? He didn't even really know the man. Before he could give an answer, however, Adrastos retracted his request and made his leave. Bahir watched the man go and sighed a bit. Perhaps it was for the best. Bahir wasn't done, though. He looked to the Orange magician with great interest. "Now that it is just us... I have a question for you..." The fanalis crossed his arms and looked the magician in his eyes. "That power you used in Ostia to take out the commander... what was it? You didn't mention it while you were describing the magic... and it was different from what you did with your hair earlier. Apollo did something similar, though the color scheme and effects were different. Was it magic?"
