Operation Capua [Bianca/Mez/Minevera]

[*]Mission Name: Operation Capua
Mission Overview: To the west of Remano, making his way across El Nagi lands, Commander Chang Yong Wen is dealing destruction to the beast tamers as he makes his way for the capitol. Wen is a master of wand and beast, using his spider, Fred, to aid him in combat. He is traveling with just under 100 soldiers, many of which are beast tamers themselves. He was last spotted aiming his troops to Capua, a trade center in the west of Reim.

The task to defend and save Savona had been completed ending in Reims Victory, though the battle for Capua was a long way off from victory. It started nearly bang on midnight at the Height of darkness only lit by the fires of burning buildings and torches, grey clouds had engulfed the entire sky and a light rain had started to fall, making the entire area very muddy and with the amount of blood soaking into the earth the ground had became more of a sludge than actual earth..

The battle had started several hours ago with a small force of Reim forces trying to defend against the first waves of attacks from the forces of Commander Chang Young Wen a strong beast master. Retreat was impossible due to the barbaric attack the Kou army had surrounded the Capua trade center and was simply using it as a training ground/prize for the most savage animals of his army. With the goals of killing every single person including the woman and children; Their was even acts of rape and torture being committed by the Kou forces not to mention the wild large Boars on a rampage eating people alive. The battle was more of a devastating bloodbath, or a barbaric funfair than an actual battle.  

As the onsault went on the forces Reim and Civilians of Capua had actually managed group together with everyone finding a way to arm themselves along with a few loyal dogs/wolfs. Presenting an actual defensive against the attackers. These weren't fighters some hadn’t even held a sword before. yet they would stand together as family. They would be ready to fight to the last breath though.The Kou forces didn't care they had plenty of prey still running around the trade center and simply toyed with the unison of Capua...Dancing around them, showing them their butts...spitting on them… bringing stray people and decapitating them right in front of them. The emotions of the unison of Capua were in a panic being held together by a thread of love. Hell had came and set up a music theater without the music.

Suddenly just before the Capua group were about ready to just charge in a suicidal attack at the entire Kou army; a small army of about 40-45 Reim forces consisting of Reim infantry,archers,magicians and a large amount of Fanalis had broke through the southern lines in a arrowhead formation; breaking through to the Center of the trade center. Several Kou troops had been wiped out in this breakthrough attack though with the loss of about 8 Reim soldiers.

The Commander of the Kou forces Chang Young Wen had ordered the entire Kou army circled around Capua to charge, with the intention of wiping out the nuisances who had turned his plaything into an actual fight. Within moments of the engagement the concept of sides became extremely difficult to comprehend, with both sides merging into a battle of utter chaos, mixing all together formations were pretty much non existent and only a few Fanalis were able to keep a coherent mind of the battlefield and where everyone was. Along with Commander Chang Young Wen  who was watching the battle unfold on top of a building; analysing the Reim forces and who would be worthy of his power.

Bianca had taken out quite a few of the kou forces including one Beast tamer with a strong right hook to the face crushing his skull into the ground. Currently  Bianca was in trouble as a borg had bitten her by the leg and was digging in with his teeth pulling down on her. Bianca leg would be damaged quite a bit before she managed to use her spare leg to crush down on his skull killing the beast. Her Leg would be left almost broken with her limb torn in several places with blood was pouring out extremely fast. Bianca would stop the bleeding using the sock of a dead kou soldier, but she would find it hard to stand for the rest of the battle. Bianca forgot she had a healing device in her pocket.

Merrze was glad that she had Fluffy with her because this battle was insane. She had been fighting off some weaker soldiers earlier but now she had been surrounded by a group of elites, unlike the last mission she had surrounded her targets but now she was on the Flip side. She was thrown of by the intensity, for some reason she felt as if her bloodlust was diminishing but she had to kill these guys. She was going to make them regret attacking her. Right now she was covered in mud, the weather was bleak and everything was so messy. Since the fight had been lasting for a while now a lot of her troops where getting tired so she was ready to end this fight as soon as she could. Though since it had been dragging on for awhile she knew that they needed to end it soon or she would be in trouble. One of the Kou Elite's charged her and she flipped him over her shoulders, while he was down she had Fluffy pounce on him and bite the Elite's throat three times until he stopped moving. They were being a huge hassle but she could take them down and she knew she could. She did wonder how the others were doing. Things were probably hard on theirs end's also so she wished that they would be okay. The Kou army was bigger than theirs and most people would think that Reim had no chance but even if they were in a tough spot she was going to make sure that they didn't make it through, they couldn't get through or they would be screwed. She calmed herself down before she would be ready to take down the other four Elites but they would probably try to group up on her. She looked around and they were all surrounding her and Fluffy but she was ready to show them who's boss. It didn't matter to her how long it would take but she was going to fight until Reim won and she knew that the others would feel the same. There was no way anyone here was going to let these Kou bastards beat them and get past their defenses. SHe then began to execute her plan, she had her ten soldiers make some room around her and the 10 Kou elites, now she had an open area where she could kill them.

Minerva smirked in delight at the fortune that had befallen her. They'd brought shields, and only one mage. What a lack of strategy. This battle would be over already if they'd brought more range units. She ran past the tumbling body of an archer on the roof, launching a Volt Spear down onto a soldier in the alleyway between the buildings. The soldier raised his shield, only to find to his dismay that the explosive, condensed bolt of lightning wasn't aiming for his shield at all. There was a crackling scream that echoed up between the thatched roofs as the soldier perished.

She kicked her legs out from beneath her, sliding off the roof, landing near one of the mages that had joined her. "Maanus, take the life sorcerers and tend to the wounded!"

She spun around a corner, dropping the ring of her shock pool around another group of soldiers before blasting a shock bolt straight into the middle of the 3 men. The bolt exploded in a familiar dazzle of blue, the shock causing the men to crumple directly into the expanding field of lightning. The bodies spasmed, then lay cold as the magic from Minerva's assault wore off.

"Merrze! Bianca!" Her head whips around, just in time to catch the arrow whizzing toward her. Her body pivots on instinct, but the arrow only collides with her borg, a splinter rising around the magical barrier. "Shit...."

She grits her teeth and vanishes back in between the burning buildings, looking for more opportunities to flank. She needed to be present, not behind people. The black birds of her rukh tailed her before dissipating back to white.

The Battlefield in Capua was changing drastically, with Kou forces taking heavy loss's. They had become far to relaxed for a full on battle; Unlike the Reim forces who survival instinct was kicking in. Vision was terrible; dirt kicking into the air, creating a slight fog mixed witht the blood of the dead, on top of the darkness of night; foul indeed. A absolutely disgusting smell was spreading as time went on, the battle needed to end. The Commander of the Kou forces needed to take Capua before sun up, while the fanlis and Reim forces were getting extremely tired.

Dawn was nearly upon this bloody hell of a battlefield. The far out clouds started to shine, like fire with the sun raising in the distance; A single string of light was slowly presenting itself. This Light would seem to be the end coming of this hell, but simply would cause Commander Chang Yong Wen and his spider fred to enter the battle. Fred would head to the buildings nearby, killing everyone in his path Kou and Reim. Comander Chang Youg wen jumped down from his overseer spot. through a trading stall and into the stickly mud and would make his way towards mez, to aid his elites. Bianca currently struggling to get to her feet instantly fired [Route Bombardment] 10 binding arrows at the commanders foot, only 5 would hit but it would be enough to bind his leg to buy them time.  Though Bianca might as well have signed her own death warrent, every beast tamer left in play charged at her with their deadly beasts. Bianca fired 15 arrows killing each [4]tamer and 2 beasts, the two remaining beasts would bite bianca by her feet with Draining her energy and movement speed and started dragging her towards the commander currently preparing a Forced Light attack which would almost certainly kill Bianca if it was to hit.

It would take Bianca a second to pull what little strenght she had left,in her highly damaged legs. To use the grip on her feet agaisnt the beasts, slaming them into each other by pulling her legs apart and slaming them together, at the exact moment she would Launch [ Tr..Vain Line]a Devastating Piercing Arrow that moves at 30m/s, killing both beast and heading strait for the commander.

Kaito sat atop his horse, observing the battle below with a scrutinizing eye. He often liked to check up on his troops, even when they were sent with his best commanders. He had dispatched only the most elite of his troops to surround the capitol. Savona had been a loss, but the child-demon had ensured it had not been a true victory for Reim, either. It seemed his troops were in need of some… motivation. He gave a whistle behind him, a scout riding up.

“Inform my men to circle Capua. We are going to be lending a hand to the Commander. Cut off their retreat points. Go. Now.”

The scout gave a serious nod, taking off at a dead run on his horse to pass along the orders. Kaito’s eyes were on his Commander, an arrow causing a shimmer of magoi as the man’s borg was shattered by a powerful arrow. When he heard the clamor of hooves behind him, he gave a signal, three of his best archers moving to his side.

“You three, target the most powerful ones there, but do not kill them. I want their fellow soldiers to see them fall and be surrounded by enemies.”

The archers nodded, taking off at a lope to find a strategic position. They would not be spotted with the dust and dirt flying around. As the battle raged, Kaito gave a clicking sound with his mouth, his horse immediately moving forward as he pulled his scythe free. Lilly would be sad she missed this chance, but Kaito had the urge to get in a few of his own kills, something to keep him satisfied before he stormed Remano.

The battle was starting to heat up more at this point, everyone was giving their all to end it as quick as they could. Merrze was going to take down the other four elites as quick as she could now.. One of them charged her and tried to stab her but Merrze flipped him over and stabbed him in the neck twice, now that she had taken down this one she would take down the three that were left. She charged at one of them and she tried to stab him but he used Parry to stop her attack and then slashed her side, she then swung her blade at his chest and left a gash in his chest then thrust her blade into the wound, the blow caused him to fall to the ground. Now that there were only two more of them left she knew they would be more cautious with their attacks. They charged at her so that they could try to overwhelm her but that as a bad idea, She thrust a fist into both of their chests then grabbed a hold of them by their armor where she could stick her fingers under. Right as she was going to slam them into the ground and kill them she saw a wave of arrows heading her way. They'd called in reinforcements it seemed, they had to end this quick and take out the commander before they were finished off. As the arrows were headed her way she only had a quick moment to react and protect herself from the oncoming arrows.. SHe crouched down and use the two Elites she was holding as shields from the arrows, in a matter of seconds she heard the Elites scream then stop moving, she dropped them and noticed that they were dead. Now that they were gone she would move onto her next objective, they had to kill the commander now. If they could take him out they would almost be guaranteed victory, that's incase they don't find another pest to figh. She did know one thing, that the commander wasn't going to be easy to take out. He was skilled in magic and taming so he could probably fend them off with ease, she just hoped that they could hopefully overwhelm him and kill him. As soon as she spotted commander she began marching in his direction, she would try to get close with Fluffy without being noticed.

The arrow whizzed by the you sorceress' ear, smacking into the wall beside her.

Shit...Archers. She ducked around a corner, trying to meet with the magicians she had sent to support the wounded, only to come face to face with a Kou soldier. Her staff immediately flared as the soldier began to charge, a pool of lightning (shock field)
cutting his path off as she slipped around the corner again. She heard the rough crackle of the lightning connecting with the man as she ducked into the doorway, slipping past him inside the building.

She treads lightly, sticking low and slipping by a window that looks into the gap between the homes, her back suddenly pressed up against the wall beside it. She watches as the soldier dusts himself off, and slips further towards the door. Her mind races, looking for a suitable method of flanking from her position.

Without allowing herself time to think, she slammed her staff against the window, shattering it before running quickly to the door. and whipping back around the corner. She caught the soldier with his head looking in the window and wasted no time summoning her Shock Spheres and driving them into the exposed back of the soldier. He cried out in pain, whipping to face Minerva as he lowered his frame and charged, jabbing his blade at the woman.

She spun around quickly, ducking behind the corner once more, praying her timing was right. She thrust her staff around the corner, catching the charging soldier square in the face. She heaved a heavy sigh of relief, her breath coming in pants, she turned, noticing Merrze stomping her way towards the general. She sprinted after the girl, her borg shattering under the force of a rogue arrow.

Capua was going to be lost if they kept foolishly fighting. She grabbed Merrze's arm, simply shouting "Save Bianca!" Before tugging the Fanalis to the injured archer, activating Angel's Grace to shield them from view.

The commander of the koe forces was free of the binding, charging towards Bianca on the floor who had no real way
to escape. once within range he would use his Forced Light ability launging a beam of light at her.
Bianca Saw the attack coming and sustained her [Tra...ta train] a devistating pericing arrow. The arrow would
clash with the beam of light shreading its existance and would continue to hit the Commander his his right hand inflicting
Bteir damage. Meanwhile Bianca companion Summer had noticed the dangerous situation Bianca was in and charged to her blocking a second Forched light by thrusting his arms into the attack arm block. Bianca would lanuch 5 smoke arrows . The effects of using so much magoi would start taking effect along with her injuries

Merrze was going to leave it to Mine to save Bianca, she was going to try and pull of a risky move. SInce the commander would be focused onto Forest who was charging at her she had Fluffy sneak around so that they could chain together an attack to finish off the commander. She had Fluffy sneak up on the side of the Commander that she was facing so when he attacked him, the commanders back would be facing her so she would have a quick second to land a finishing blow. SHe then put her plan into action. She ran out of field of light that was hiding them and when she got close enough she had Fluffy use Roaring Inferno on him, but he turned around fast enough and fired Focused Light to collide with Fluffy's attack but Merrze had the advantage, while his back was turned she activated Savage Soul and lunged at him with all of her might. She brang her claws down into the commanders neck then ripped his head off. She was happy that she was able to pull off her plan. Then out of nowhere a arrow pierced her foot. She wouldn't be able to walk easily like this so she climbed onto Fluffy and had him carry her back to Mine, Merrze was in pain, and she had a commanders head with her and she felt extremely tired from the long drawn out battle. But they had taken out the commander and did enough damage to their forces, she couldn't tell if they were winning but their forces would probably be destroyed soon. She was worried about the man who had brang the archers and was wondering what he was planning to do. Right now she just wanted for the battle to be over, hopefully they had done enough damage to the enemy forces and that's all she could truly ask for right now. While she was on Fluffy she ripped out the arrow and wrapped some cloth around it, hopefully it would heal later. She just wanted to regroup with the others and would hope they were okay, sure it had only been a few seconds between her attack and now but in battle you never know what might happen exactly. "I hope the other girls are alright, we've already suffered enough loses in this battle today." she said in a sighing tone.

Kaito watched as the Commander took an arrow to his arm, swinging his scythe as he rode through the Reim soldiers, cutting them down left and right without mercy. He looked around for the three women he had instructed his archers to target but found only two, the smoke billowing across the battlefield a mild frustration. It did not slow his slaughter as he took out four, five and then six of the Reim rebels.

Gina released her piercing arrow just as Bianca disappeared from view, cursing. It was not likely that the arrow would hit home unless the archer did not move from her current position. If Bianca remained where she was, she risked losing an arm.

Shelk was several meters down from where Gina was, letting her horse settle as she tracked Merrze’s movements. The woman had disappeared briefly but then reappeared near the Commander. When the woman headed for the Commander, she released her Exploding Arrow just as Fluffy’s Roaring Inferno clashed with Focused Light, aiming for Merrze’s leg. The speed of a Fanalis was world renowned so she was careful with her aim. Just before the woman reached the Commander, the arrow buried deep in Merrze’s leg before exploding, nearly removing the woman’s leg before she could reach the Commander. If help was fast, the woman might save her leg. The smoke now billowing across the field would make it difficult for any allies to recover her, though.

Chloe frowned, she had just had Minerva in her sights when the woman suddenly disappeared from view, never seeming to reappear. She gave a growl of frustration, digging her heels into the horse’s side and driving it forward. The prismatic-haired woman was nowhere to be found, Kaito would not be happy. She settled for driving arrows into the skulls of several surrounding Reim rebels, taking out four before she joined in attempting to cut off their retreat.

Kaito jumped down from his horse beside the Commander, a wicked grin stretching across his face as he saw the woman’s dog like creature just as she tumbled to the ground with a vicious wound to her leg. Using his scythe to create a guard between the Commander and any further attacks, he kept his focus on Fluffy. If the dog approached to try and finish the Commander off, he would die.

[OOC Note: Merrze, the archers had not begun attacking you until this post, so the arrows you were blocking before would have had to of been from the Commander’s forces.]

Minerva looses track of Merrze, assuming the girl could handle herself in the fray. She keeps her course, breaking into a sprint and shoving Bianca out of the future path of the incoming arrow. The projectile buried itself to the fletching where the archer's arm once was. Minerva grunted, dragging the injured Bianca back behind a small stack of crates that had tumbled over in the conflict. She was sustaining the invisibility, but that didn't mean they were silent.

She motioned for the girl to stay quiet as she fished through her pockets for the tool that the Magnostadti magicians had given them. The pulls the Amulet of Life from the woman's pocket, pumping her magoi into healing Bianca so that she could at least move about of her own will.

Minerva jolted as the sound of an explosion rocked her ears, looking up to try and glimpse Merrze only to see the cloud of smoke shrouding where she had been. "Shit..."

After reporting for his mission from Ostia, Azix had overheard that the operatives on Capua's front had yet to be heard from. The orange magician's brow furrowed in concern and offered to  check in. If there was trouble, Azix could travel quickly with his magic carpet, but he hoped it was fast enough. Before he left, he looked around to see if he could find someone strong to support him, preparing for the worst. By Fate's grand design, he ran into Ayero as she reported in from Tibur's front.

Azix grabbed the Fanalis woman by the shoulders and spoke in an urgent tone, "Octavius said that the Capua team hasn't reported back yet. I was going to go check up on them, can you come with me?" He waited for her to agree before he practically dragged her outside and pulled her onto his magic carpet. As soon as her butt hit the seat, Azix launched the carpet skyward, towards Capua. As an after-thought, Azix glanced back at Ayero, "Do you know how to fly one of these things?"

With Ayero piloting the carpet, they arrived over the battlefield just in time to witness Prince Kaito cut through the Reim forces to get to the Commander. "Tsk! Kaito...that's not good..." He kept his voice to a whisper so only Ayero could hear. As he scanned the rest of the battlefield, he recognized a familiar Fanalis get hit with an explosive arrow. A shimmer of light caught his eye and he looked closer to see two girls hiding behind a bubble of invisibility.

Azix tapped Ayero on the shoulder and pointed to Merrze, "When I say go, you grab her." He then pointed to where the two invisible girls were, "I know you can't see it, but there are two girls behind an illusion spell there. Get them next." He then gestured for the woman to descend over Kaito and pulled out his wand. When they were nineteen meters above, Azix cast Flicker which conjured a bright ball of light. It streaked down towards the Prince and Commander which would blind everyone in a five meter radius.

As soon as the ball was cast, Azix grabbed his metal vessel and began chanting, "O' Djinn of Plague and Pestilence, create a catalyst of change that infects corruption. Lend me the power to purify the world anew. Spread, Cimeies!" With the chant spoken, Azix stepped off the carpet and signaled for Ayero to go.

The King Candidate flew downwards with his sword outstretched and used the momentum of his fall to slice through the Commander, landing behind him. As soon as he landed, Azix spun towards Kaito and slashed his sword at the man's leg. He had no intention of staying and fighting with the Prince though, this was simply a distraction so Ayero could get in and out. His own exit would probably be a bit more problematic though.

As soon as he finished his attacks, Azix flew upwards and spared a quick glance to see where Ayero was. Keeping an eye out for arrows, he then headed towards some nearby woods to lose the enemy over the treetops. There he could regroup with Ayero and see about saving any of the others.

After relaying her report to Octavius upon her return from Tibur, Ayero spied Azix as she made her way through the corridors of the rebellion’s hideout. She was about to greet him when she noticed how rushed he seemed, grabbing her by the shoulders and speaking in a critical tone. The surprise left her face and was replaced with a knowing look as she nodded in affirmation. ”Of cour—wah!” Startled, she fumbled with her steps before falling in line behind Azix before he pulled her onto his magic carpet. ”I uh, yeah.” She stammers out, still trying to get a grasp on the situation. As they sped towards Capua, Ayero gathered her bearings on the situation. ”Minerva…Merrze…Bianca…I hope they’re alright. The opponent must be strong, if they’re having trouble…” Worry for her companions caused her heart to beat rapidly, knowing that she and Azix were likely going to enter into a difficult situation.

As they arrived over the battlefield, Ayero shook the initial shock from her face as a stern mask settled over her features. Her eyes searched the ground for red hair, her gaze first landing on Kaito as Azix pointed him out. She frowned at the expression the man wore, recognizing it as one of bloodlust. When Azix pointed out Merrze and the two women hidden behind an illusion, Ayero nodded in affirmation. She memorized the spot which Azix had gestured to, hoping that they wouldn’t move before she was able to get to them.


She watches in momentary fascination as Azix performs his djinn equip, able to hear the full incantation for the first time. Unfortunately she wouldn’t get the chance to observe it this time around, her focus snapping back to the task at hand as Azix signaled for her to rescue the women. Gripping the fabric beneath her harder, Ayero drove the carpet down towards Merrze, dodging stray arrows to the best of her ability as she did so. She mentally thanks Yakuroro, wherever he is that he’d given her the chance to practice driving his own magic carpet in a much less dire situation.


She heads in Merrze’s direction, making a beeline for the other Fanalis. She had seen her take an exploding arrow to the leg and knew that she would likely lose the limb if she didn’t get help in time. That, and she was in close proximity to the Commander and Kaito. Leaning over the edge of the carpet, Ayero grabs Merrze’s arm and hauls her onto the cloth in one swift movement. ”We’re going to get the other two.” She grunts, rushing in the direction of the two invisible women Azix had described. Had it been nearly anyone else, she would have questioned rescuing something she couldn’t even see. But the situation was dire and she trusted Azix.


Bringing the carpet into a low dive again, Ayero calls out to the other two women. ”Minerva! Bianca! If you’re here, hurry up! We’re getting out.”  She vaguely recalled that Minerva had chosen a magic tool that granted invisibility and hoped that she had the Fanalis archer with her as Ayero was unable to find her when they first came upon the scene. After helping Minerva move the injured Fanalis onto the carpet if needed, Ayero catches Azix in his equip out of the corner of her eye, the man flying towards the woods.


”Minerva, you control the carpet. Follow that flying man!” Unsheathing her blade, Ayero moves to deflect any arrows or attacks that might be headed for them, stray or otherwise.

Bianca had been saved for the most part by Minevera.. though she was two weak to stand up though she could hear the voice of a friend calling out to her and Minevera. Bianca injuries were being heal but she was still exhausted from the lack of Magoi. But yeh she could not stand but her awearness had came back for the most part. She would reach up tapping Minevera on the shoulder pointing towards the direction of the voice. "Its Ayero" she would say in a very light voice in order to conserve energy.

Meanwhile summer who was charging at the commander had ran in a slightly wrong direction due to the smoke covering the field, and ended up on the edege of the circle with a line of Kou Elite forces standing in front of her. Summer turned around and couldn't see Bianca but with could somewhat tell Bianca was going be ok. Summer would take flight and unite with the flying Carpet.

Merrze was happy to be saved by Ayero and what seemed to be another person, but right now all she could really focus on was the pain that was overflowing her body. She was mad at herself, she couldn't believe that she made a mistake as simple as running from cover, she was normally smarter than that and din't know what had overcome her, it was most likely because she was tired and wanted to end things quickly, she felt as if she was failure for getting hurt. She was going to have to make up for this failure in the future or it was going to haunt her for awhile. She knew she couldn't win every battle but still that didn't make her fell any better about getting hurt. She did know that she had to get Fluffy out of there, she whistled as high as she could and had him run in their direction hoping he could avoid all incoming fire. Minerva grunt's rolling Bianca onto the carpet, the bleeding beginning to lessen. She dropped the barrier as she leapt onto the airborne cloth, exhaling as it suddenly lurched forward and up. Housed had burned down to nearly their bones by now, and the inner frames were collapsing. They'd killed the general, but Minerva couldn't shake the feeling that their time here was merely an even trade at best.

She grit her teeth, letting Ayero parry the incoming arrows as she directed the carpet over the trees, swearing every curse that came to her mind under her breath. Those were soldiers she had led, and they had died today. Her features hardened, the determination on her face seeming to radiate of her body along with the boiling rage around her.

Her mind flashed to the aristocracy, safe in the inner sanctum of the empire, refusing to do anything until the war had been brought to their steps. "How...How can they do nothing in their positions." She grit her teeth, the black birds flocking among the white, a few remaining behind as the flash of anger subsided.
