It was time to take another job for Zadi Medmar. He was going to go and take a higher ranked job rather than those small odd jobs from here and there. Not like they gave Zadi much to do anyway, right? Anyway, Zadi went over to the local Job Board in search of a higher tier job to take, as stated already. Just clarifying for those just joining us today on this special afternoon. Now then, Zadi wanted to take a job that required battle in some form, maybe just a tussle or two. Something worth his use of magic rather than something, well, NOT worth using magic, know what I mean?

Well, Zadi eventually began deciding between a couple of jobs on the large and almighty Job Board! The decision was between either a fight club competition where people fought against each other and the winner would get a handsome reward or a lame little fight against a bully that happened to have a sharpened sword ready to be used on anyone that he felt like bullying. Well…I don’t know why this decision was a decision in the first place! This is ridiculously easy to pick out! It was obviously…going…to…be…the…fight club competition. Yeah, no dramatic waiting and then joking that it would the bully mission. No, nothing like that.

Now that Zadi had a job picked out, it was time to get to the location of the job, the place where it would all ‘go down’ as it says on the paper. Zadi made his way to a small little tavern that had the same symbol as the job sheet had at the bottom of it. Kind of like a signature, but in the form of a stamp…and no words. Just a bloody looking fist. Zadi wouldn’t be surprised if the stamp was made out of blood. Anyway, that didn’t matter, he was there for some action and excitement was he was entering a very dangerous job!

Zadi entered the tavern and say that the same symbol was not hanging over a door. Rather…it said…’enter at your own risk’ rather than just ‘enter’ as Zadi would have expected it. The paper that had the job written on it did seem to say there would be a ‘welcoming entrance above a door in the tavern’. Well, the people that must have printed this job out might be the tough part in convincing that Zadi was a fighter to begin with. Zadi made his way to the door, hearing chants and screams as he got closer and closer. The screams always got louder with every chant…

Zadi opened the door and there was a loud burst of sound and echoes all around him, swirling in an infinite abyss that made up the sounds of the fight club that he was about to enter. Zadi gulped down his cowardice and entered the unholy underground fighting club. Zadi wouldn’t turn back now that he was right where he wanted to be…in an arena with lots of cheering fans…and target practice. Yeah, this was really just for practicing his magical skills in the art of the 7th magic, Strength magic. This would be a great way to get better at casting speed and timing in order to level up his focus.

As soon as Zadi got underground into the the fighting club, he introduced himself as the man that was taking the job of clearing the arena of all the filthy fighters. Well, there might be some clean fighters, but there were bond to be dirty fighters…if you know what I mean. Zadi was entered into the first three rounds, told that he was going to do great if he just dodged and weaved, and was left to his own devises with his staff, the Gawking Heron, and his willpower to survive. Zadi now waited for his first opponent to arrive and show himself.

Zadi’s first opponent was announced as Orion. That was probably not his real name though. Wonder what name Zadi would be given when all this was over? Anyway, Orion moved immediately after pumping up the already pumped up crowd. Zadi almost didn’t react in time, but was able to activate his Twist spell to force Orion to stumble. However, it was only for a second because Orion had major reflexes and fast recovery speeds. Even more so however, Zadi just needed one second to react anyway. Zadi used his Burst spell to knock back Orion and with the added damage of Twist, he was unable to physically move, though his spirit still lingered.

The next opponent was named Jazz, also a fake name…most likely. If not, then that was a pretty cool name. Anyway, Zadi was ready for anything that Jazz had to offer in terms of skill and power. Well, turns out that Jazz was an avid swordsman. He rushed for Zadi at 10 meters away, only givng two seconds to react, but it was enough for Zadi. Jazz was five meters away when Zadi using his Rush spell combined with his Blunt spell to knock Jazz upside the head on one blow, and then finishing him off with a blow to his back after having passed him.

Jazz was defeated which only left one more brawler…Cain…wait, what!? Was it the same Cain that Yaku defeated back in Magnostadt!? Yup, it was. Though he was using brass knuckles that sparked a little, indicating they were imbued with the lighting attribute…probably due to Lorki getting involved. Cain recognized Zadi immediately and charged with all his might! Zadi was ready though, he just dodged a couple of punches while using his Push spell followed by his Twist spell. He then followed up once more with his Blunt spell which had still been active this whole time anyway. Zadi had won and was ready to receive his reward!

After having won all three rounds that Zadi was signed up for just by picking up the job sheet, Zadi received his reward along with many cheers and jeers. Yeah, there really were some jeers, specifically those that hated magicians and whatnot. But Zadi didn’t mind so much. He got experience in fighting, so he was ok with all the jeering. And besides, most of it was covered by the intense cheering and whooping in favor of Zadi! They seemed to have recognized his strength to some degree and Zadi was very much happy about that, cause that meant he really must have gotten stronger~
