A Sorceress in the Golden Empire [Open] TFiNmj2

Quite bitchy, don’t you think?” Ymir said with a chuckle but Eliza shook her head. They were watching a street fight between two women, something you didn’t saw a lot but they seemed manlier than most men Eliza had met so far so people were enjoying it. It seemed that no one cared much about them trying to rip each other’s heads off and to be honest, neither did Eliza. She had only arrived in Reim a few days ago and wasted her time on sight seeing. The Reim Empire was golden, warm and beautiful, but not as much as her homeland Heliohapt. Eliza clearly did enjoy her stay in Reim and she hoped to meet some people to learn a little bit more about the culture. “I wonder if Reim has many Magicans.” She thought to herself so that only her alter ego – Ymir – could hear it. “Whatever. You will see it, but don’t you dare face them alone. Don’t interfere in things that are none of your business and be safe.” Eliza sighed and stroke a strand of her silverish hair out of her face. “Guess you're right.” The young Sorceress turned around and headed towards the center of the city. She was wearing a typical Zou attire, a short black dress with golden ornaments that went well with her black/golden eyepatch. It was a gift of her parents and one of her faovurite dresses. Eliza was carrying her staff Archenemy in her right hand and a small golden bag over her left shoulder. She moved towards the center of the city where the palace of the King of Reim was located up. Eliza looked up to it and frowned a bit. “I wonder what kind of King he is.” She thought to herself and Ymir giggled something in the back of her head. “Certainly not a good one. No Leader or King is good. Mankind should know that by now. Yet they always have one. Because humans are weak and stupid and don’t know any better than following someone’s orders.” Eliza sighed and shook her head after hearing the hostile words of her alter ego. “Whatever.” She whispered to herself and sat down at a nearby restaurant where she ordered some juice to drink.

Lagi was sitting on his throne, but he was pretty bored with the paperwork that he had to do today. “I’ll just leave it with my secretary and get some fresh air, he already knows about the policies that I want. “Lagi would say to himself as he exits the castle, surrounded by troubled guards that started to protest. “My King, please stay in the castle. You’ll never know of who could be out there that might bear hatred. “Lagi shrugged as he continued out of the castle. “Gouki, I’m probably one of the few kings that would literally stand beside you in the heat of battle or a war. I’m pretty strong myself; I don’t think I have to worry about anything for the time being. Besides, I want to take a look at the current businesses and see how the current tax rule is holding up. “ Kohai appeared out of hiding from the back of the throne, holding his signature Kunai. Ever since Lagi became king, he had the Nagi Orai take up a more substantial position within the kingdom of Reim. “I’ll have some members shadow you.” Kohai would say before he disappeared. Some of the citizens would whisper to each other or look in awe as Lagi exited the castle and walked among the streets of Reim.

“I’ll start with this place first.” Lagi would say to himself as he walked inside of the restaurant with six of his royal guards with him Gouki was timid and held his spear tightly. He was hoping that nobody caused the king any trouble. “Let’s see here….. can I take a look at the menu please?”

Stressed out, the young Sorceress stared at the menue, trying to find something she wished to dine, but the meals that they offered in Reim where quite different from what she had eaten in Magnostadt and Heliohapt. Eliza stroke through her hair and didn’t noticed the bunch of men that were entering the room until she noticed a few people whispering and looking up to the entrance. “Huh?” She blinked a few times and turned around and spotting six royal guards and some guy in the middle who looked somewhat important. “I have no clue who that could be. But he must be important, look at everyone’s faces.” Eliza thought to herself and a smile crept over her face. “Sure, can we now get back to the important things? Like food?” Ymir’s voice had a touch of annoyance in it, she didn’t liked people who acted like they were better than other’s and had an aura around themselves that proofed their importance. And Eliza didn’t wanted to get into trouble for staring at other’s too much so her eyes reverted back to the menue. “How about..a salad? With some roasted chicken?” She thought to herself and Ymir protested immediately. “Bah! Eat some real food! You are not a cow you are a women! You could need some more flesh on your bones anyways.” Eliza bit her lower lip and rolled her eyes. “Look, I’m not going to argue about his. I eat whatever the hell you want.” “Oh yeah? Fine then, I guess I will just stop talking to you then.” “Now you are just being difficult.” It wasn’t always easy to handle a second voice in ones head but Eliza was used to it. She calmy raised her hand and waved at the waiter. “May I have this salad please? Oh and some more apple juice.” She pointed at the meal on the menue. “Thank you.” She set back and waited and her gaze went back to the guards and whoever they were protecting.

Lagi was looking through the menu of the fancy restaurant and thought of all of all of the mental calculations  in his head. After a little bit of silence, Lagi nodded his head. “Hmm, it’s a good start. How about a treat guys? “Lagi would say as he turned to the guards. You can order whatever you want from this restaurant, you are now on lunch break.  We could have two separate tables. “ Lagi had a tendency to keep everyone in his circle happy  they worked hard enough for him in the weak that Lagi took the seat of the throne. The other guards looked pleased but Gouki insisted that he stay with Lagi. “My king, I would like to company you if that’s alright. “ Lagi looked at Gouki for a brief moment and then shrugged. ”Do what you like…” Before Lagi left to go to his table, he caught onto a wonderful aroma from a girl who previously ordered a salad. As a matter of fact, the girl was rather easy on the eyes as well, which made Lagi form a devilish grin on his face.  As soon as the girl sat down, Lagi slowly walked over to the table and took a seat. He put his elbow on the table as he silently looked at the girl before saying something. After those few seconds of observation, Lagi grinned. “Well….aren’t you interesting?”

After ordering her salad, Eliza leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes, crossing her legs and folding her hands to relax a little bit. She had a little bit time now to think about her next move and the things she wanted to archive in the Reim Empire. After all she had come here for a reason. Eliza was a Magican who had just started learning more about Magic. Of course, she could have stayed in Magnostadt to learn more about Magic and how to use it, but she didn’t enjoy the way they treated other people so she left. “Well, you can find knowledge and informations anywhere. It’s naive to think that staying at that one place all your life will get your to your destination. I mean, after all you are not moving a single inch, right?” Eliza smirked at the words of her alter ego. “Ymir, sometimes you surprise me with your wisdom. That was actually very true. I decided to travel the world to meet as many people as possible. To learn as much as possible and to see as much as possible. Being in Reim is my first step, and who knows? Maybe I will meet some interisting people after all?” Ymir chuckled and made a rather weird sound that sounded like approval. “Knowledge can be found anywhere in the world. Besides that, knowledge also leads to power. Never forget that your path leads you to power.” Eliza nibbled on her lower lip, her eyes still closed and the young female was completely lost in thoughts. “So called..Dungeons.. Is it true that they lead to untamable power? Is it true that anyone can have access to it, as long as they make it through the dungeon alive?” Her whole body started shivering out of excitement. “If it is.. I’m going to obtain that power. If there is something that not everyone can have, I want it. I want it Ymir.” Life was a challenge, and while Eliza was still at the beginning, she wanted to be the best. “I will definetly become stronger. Let’s not worry about that.” She shrugged it off and opened her eyes, just to see a young, handsome man sitting in front of her, saying something that she couldn’t really catch. “…heh?” She flashed him a stunning smile. “So..to what do I owe the honour of this?” She said camly and blinked two times at the young man.

“Your beauty was quite alluring, I simply had the urge to find out the kind of person that you were. Looks can be deceiving; good nature can be masked through natural appearances. For instance, some people could bow and greet me kindly, but does it mean they respect me? Some would do it out of fear; others could be cursing my name at this very moment while my back is turned. So as a reminder, I try to remind the citizens that I used to be one of the people, and I mingle among them. It’s not very kinglike right? Or maybe I’m overconfident?” Lagi would say with a smile as he looked down at the girl’s chosen meal, it was a salad. “Eating healthily, that’s always a good choice. Though I’m not much of a vegetarian myself, it makes for a good side dish if anything. So…what’s your name? Travelling?” lagi would say as the waiter brought him his meal, Gouki immediately started to taste it. After two minutes, Gouki nodded. “It’s fine sire, help yourself. “

Eliza frowned a bit as she saw the black haired man sitting down in front of her. She had never seen him before, probably because she was new to the country and the city, but the man seemed to be pretty self confident. He was commenting on her meal and complimented her beauty, which made Eliza smile a bit. “Thank you, Sir.” She nodded at him and placed her hands onto the sides of her bowl of salad. “Well, he is talking a lot. What’s wrong with him?” Eliza closed her eyes for a brief moment and smirked. “I don’t know. I can’t follow him.” She thought to herself and blushed im embarassment as she had to admit this to her alter ego. But she had indeed no clue why that man was talking so much. But his behavior, and those of his guards was rather odd. When his meal arrived they would taste it for him before he ate it. “He is probably some rich merchant or something like that.” Eliza looked up to him before she started eating. “He looks young for one.” The man would then proceed to ask her a few questions and Eliza decided to answer them. “My name is Eliza Laen.. I’m from Heliohapt. I’m basically traveling the world, trying to learn more about Magic and everything else. How about you?”

Lagi’s eyes lowered when said that. He took two bites of his food and played with his earring a little bit. “Learning more about magic huh? I know a guy that was a magician; I helped his take on a dungeon that appeared here a while back. Right now he’s a king candidate, but I never saw him again. Oh well, that’s not the point I’m trying to get across. Hopefully you aren’t one of those types that are racist towards others that aren’t magicians. “ So her name was Eliza huh? That was a pretty cute name for a cute girl. However, she asked for his name. This kind of made Lagi contemplate on whether he should reveal who he was or not. “I’m Lagi El Nagi, King of Reim…..” After that, Lagi takes another bite of his food and turns to Gouki. “Well, at least they are playing for quality service by eating here. The cooks and waiters aren’t dishonest; you can take my plate away. I’m not hungry anymore…” Lagi then turns back to Eliza with a devilish grin. "Well, lets cut to the chase. I've taken an interest in you...Eliza Laen...."

A faint smile crept over Eliza’s face when she allowed herself to look up into the boys face. Because of her shyness it was rather hard for her to keep eyecontact with other people and she ended up looking down most of the times and right now her gaze was also only lasting for a few moments before it went back down onto her salad. She continued to eat while listening to what he was saying and smirked when he mentioned the racism of Magnostadt. “I left Magnostadt a few years ago because of that reason.” She made a small pause and looked him into the eyes. “My parents and grand parents are non magicans. And they are the most precious to me. How could I be racist towards my own blood.” She realized that he had mentioned a dungeon and bit her lower lip when he did so. Eliza was a curious young woman and her interest for those dungeons was burning but she decided not to ask him about it because for some reason she didn’t wanted to reveal her interest. He would then introduce himself as Lagi El Nagi, the “King” of Reim. “The King? What would a King do in a place like this. But that would explain the bunch of Guard Dogs that are after him the whole time and his incapability to eat alone.” Ymir giggled at the spitefulness of her other half and grumbled something. “Be sceptical, but polite!” She nodded and smiled at Lagi. “Well, what brings you down to a place like this, your Highness? And why would someone like you catch interest in a normal girl like me?

“Y is a crooked letter, I would say that my intentions are more like an I. I as in, I feel that you could possibly be wasting your time by keeping your grandparents back to the homeland. You could always migrate them to Reim. As for the law of attraction….” Lagi then moved even closer, close enough to smell her perfume. “It’s nothing more than a mysterious phenomenon of emotions that pursue our wants and needs. In contrast, it’s something that’s up to you to interpret. Your either someone that I need in my life or someone that I want in my life… what do you think? “ Maybe Lagi was applying a bit of pressure, but this certain situation was fun for him in his own way. Or maybe Lagi was a little lonely at the castle and needed a nice lady friend to keep him company. Either way, Lagi’s eyes was set on having this girl for the time being.

Eliza nipped on her drink and closeer blue eye for a moment while she listened to Lagi’s words. They were rather seductive, but sounded incredible comical to Ymir. Eliza’s Alter Ego was bursting from laughter and Eliza couldn’t really supress a smirk. “To be honest, I prefer Heliohapt over Reim. It’s a beautiful place and I wouldn’t want my relatives to not be a part of it.” Eliza’s voice was calm and she had a perfect poker face but innerly she was a little bit nervous. “Good so! Show that teenage king what you think of him!” Ymir would innerly cheer for her but Eliza had a hard time ignoring her just now. “Your Highness, it seems that you already have all you need.” She nodded towards the six guards that were taking care of him. “I don’t know how someone simple like me could help you out." Eliza finished her salad and her drink and waved at the waiter. "I'm ready to pay."

When the waiter came over, Lagi gave him a look and raised his hand. “There’s no need for that, you can just put her bill on my tab. “ Lagi then looks back at Eliza with a stern look on his face. “You asked for your check so quickly, was my company unwelcomed then? That’s fine, don’t worry about the bill. You need money for your travels anyway if you don’t plan on sticking around. I just thought having you around the castle for a little bit wouldn’t all that boring. Oh well..” Lagi stood up and brushed off his black pants with a small look of disappointment. He could easily just take the girl, but he wasn’t in much of a mood. “Well Eliza, you know where to find me. I hope you find what you’re looking for. “ Lagi would say as he shifted over to the other guards that were eating. Gouki gave a small courteous bow to Eliza as he followed Lagi.

Thank you, my King.” She said camly when Lagi offered to pay for her bill. However, for some reason it seemed that he was upset with her wanting to pay for her meal so that he stood up and wanted to leave her. Eliza was still sitting on the chair and didn’t moved for the moment, she just looked after him while wondering what was with his attitude. “You probably hurt his pride or something like that.” Ymir said with a chuckle and Eliza sighed a little bit disappointed. “Well, that’s what happens when you try to not get into trouble with the King of a Nation I guess.” She nodded at Gouki and decided to stay a little bit longer to see how he would leave.

“Alright guards, I’ll be heading out. I’ll contact you if anything, ok?” Lagi would say casually to the guards as he stopped by Eliza before he departed. “Do you like animals?” This was probably a strange question, but  Lagi had his own reasons for it, on the fact that he was a dominance user  kind of made him want to take Zygus for  walk. “I was going to take my pet for a walk, you’re welcome to come and join me if you like.” If she didn’t come, it didn’t matter much. Eliza had her own journey that didn’t have the time for detours. Though, Zadi was a magician and he had a pet. There was a saying that those with kind hearts are well liked by animals or something like that. Maybe that’s who Lagi used to be, but he’s somewhat of a different person now. Anyway, Eliza was attractive and Lagi wanted to get to know her a little more before he split.

It seemed that Lagi wasn’t leaving yet. Instead, he turned back around to Eliza and asked her if she liked animals. Of course she did. “Who doesn’t?” She replied with a faint smile on her lips as she stood up and followed him. "The way someone treats their animals says a lot about their personality, don’t you think?” Ymir exclaimed and Eliza removed a strain of hair from her face. “Then let’s see what kind of person he really is.” She walked up next to Lagi, wondering what kinds of pets he was keeping. “Sure, I would love to go with you.” Eliza never had the chance to have a bit, she had been too busy in her life to take care of one.

“Right, follow me then.” Lagi had no clue as to how Zygus would behave around new people. Zygus wasn’t much of a people person, but he liked kids. He also liked people that fed him, but he mostly liked Lagi. It was the kind of partnership that they had, Lagi and Zygus had been friends for years. As Lagi left the restaurant and went to towards the back of the palace of pings, there was a little courtyard of where they keep all the horses and other trained animals. Lagi then whistles at the sky, beckoning for his beast to show up. Zygus with his amazing hearing came soon after, landing right next to him. That metallic bird stood at five meters in size, a very intimidating height for pet. “This is Zygus, my partner.” Lagi would say to eliza.

Eliza quickly followed Lagi as he walked through the streets of Reim. They entered the property of the King of Reim – the palace. Eliza hasn’t seen a Palace like this from close ever before and she thought of herself as a lucky girl that she was able to do this kind of sightseeing. Ymir was less impressed. “I wonder how they keep this giantic space clean. No, seriously, how?” Eliza smirked at that comment and continued to look around. There was a little courtyard with all kind of animals, just like horses and whatnot. She looked over to Lagi when he whistled as when he was calling for his pet. Eliza expected a dog or something like that, but certainly not a giantic metallic bird that came flying at them. Girly like she was, Eliza jumped backwards and released a high pitched scream from her mouth. “KYA!” She immediately moved behind Lagi and looked over to Zygus. “He is not cute at all!” Ymir exclaimed and Eliza agreed. “W-well, n-nice to meet you, Zygus..” She looked up to Lagi and grimaced a bit. “I kinda expected him to be…fluffier?

“What was you expecting? A poodle? “ Lagi would say as he laughed at Eliza’s reaction, that’s how most normal people would react to the arrival of a giant metal bird. However, Zygus was trained well; Lagi taught the bird not to act out of order. On top of that, it’s been five seconds and Zygus had no reaction to the girl, she was lacking the smell of blood.” So I guess she hasn’t killed yet. “Lagi thought in his head as he hopped on Zygus and looked at Eliza. "How do you feel about flying?"
