Making Smiles [Job|Mr. Solo Dolo~]

It was a bit late in the afternoon when Tahl reached the Orphanage. He had heard news spreading around there was need for a helper at the orphanage for only a few hours. He decided upon himself to take on the challenge. Besides, how hard could it be to deal with some kids?

As soon as the gargantuan Halfling stepped inside, his face was splattered with paint. He coughed and spat out what little got in his mouth, wiping his face as best as he could while hearing the small giggles of children. Once his vision was somewhat clear, he looked down at the circle of children that stared up at him. He gave them a small smile and knelt down, holding out some candy he purchased from a cart earlier before.

They all swarmed around him; greedily taking a piece until there was no more. He chuckled and ruffled the hair of one of the boys before looking all around. There wasn't much for them to do inside, so he could only think of one solution..
"Who wants to go down by the river for a swim?,"He asked with a large smile. The children looked at each other and then up to him before bursting into loud screams of approval.

Tahl chuckled and walked with them in a single file line after helping them prepare towards the large river that ran through the city. He turned back and counted each of them as they sat down, waiting for his next command. After a careful headcount, he nodded with satisfaction and turned to them, smilng wide.
"What are you guys waiting for?,"He asked before throwing off his cloak and jumping backwards to the cool water,"Jump on in!" The children stood up in unison and jumped into the water after him, smiling with glee. The large group all played around; some playing Marco Polo; some simply wading in the water; and some engaging the long armed Tahl in a splash fight.

A few hours eventually passed and the now tired group returned to the orphanage. Tahl still had a few hours left with the children and tapped on his chin, figuring what he could possibly do next. His mind eventually allowed him to wonder into the kitchen, where a large smile grow on his face. While the children took it upon themselves to fall asleep inside of the sleeping area, he began to work on a small snack for them all. He prepared for them a small fruit platter; slices of fruit; some nuts he purchased a few days before; along with some juice he found. Tahl smiled and placed them all down before stepping outside, watching the people walk past the orphanage and waving back to anyone who did the same. A few moments passed and one of the children woke up, rubbing their eyes to see Tahl standing just outside.
The little girl walked over to him and tugged at his cloak,"Mister Tahl...?"
Tahl turned his head and smiled down before responding,"What is it, my dear?" The little girl yawned again and looked up at him.
"Did you leave us a snack..?"
"Why yes, I did. It's right in the eating area." The little girl nodded and walked off to the area, only waking up a few more children before going. Tahl chuckled and felt a tap on his shoulder; it was the elderly woman who was the head caretaker.
She spoke in a soft voice,"You may go now sir. Thank you so much for your help." She ruffled through the heavy sleeves in her garment and pulled out some Huang, placing it into his hand.
Putting the money away himself, Tahl smiled,"Thank you for the money. Whenever you need me again, don't be afraid to let me know." Fixing himself up some, he walked away from the orphanage, waving back to the caretaker whenever he glanced back.
