Appearance: Once worn by the legendary Yamato Jimmu, known as the mythical founder of all Kina, this gold-flecked armour has been gifted to Silva as thanks for aiding the Hinamoto clan. Flecked with bright gold-leaf, and decorated with branch-like patterns which evoke the Ame-no-Mihashira, nobody could miss the armour’s wearer and their dazzling display. The entire set is formed of a cuirass made from lamellar plates, two shoulder-pieces which fall into position when the arms were raised, a skirt made from linked flexible plates to protect the thighs and lower abdomen and mail gauntlets with solid plates attached for increased defence. This armour truly befits a Kinan hero.
Weapon Tricks:
- Sun’s Prayer - Decorated with dazzling gold-leaf, this armour would have easily stood out in battle, inspiring the Kinan samurai under Jimmu. This bright design also has a more practical use, however, since it has been intricately fashioned so that the gold-leaf captures incoming light from all directions. As such, when this armour is worn outside during the daytime (or with an appropriately bright source of light present), the user may strike their chest and cause a brief burst of light around them which may blind anyone within ten metres for one post. This basic action may only be taken once per post.
- Ring of Champions [D Tier] - As ancestor to the Hinamoto, Jimmu has always been involved in Kinan legends about how sumo wrestling began. Whether or not he actually was, this armour seems to clearly have loops where a wrestler’s band of victory could have been inserted, suggesting that the stories might be more truth than legend. This feature allows the user to bring in the Makuuchi’s Braid into any thread without taking up an item slot, so long as this armour is being worn as well.
