- Job:
- Job Name: Construction
Job Rank: D
Job Location: Merridia
Job Reward: 50xp,3khuang
Job Prerequisites: Resources-lumber
Job Overview: After gaining the resources requested it is time to build the structure and statues for the client
The artistic duo, the architect and the sculptor, were currently on their way through the dense foliage of the jungles of Merridia once again. This time they were heading out of the thick, untamed landscape and going for an open spot in the plains not too far from here. Their destination was to be the site they would begin their construction on top of.
Once there, they would be greeted by a bunch of laborers that were hired by the patron of this project. They were brown with red border clothes and brimmed, straw hats that seemed reminiscent of Kina style. While the duo was working on gathering supplies and materials they had been working on a path to reach the site of construction. The client wanted to use a steep plateau as the location of their estate so they had been making a path in order to transport everything easily.
Building on top of such an imposing landform was going to be an interesting and exciting turn for Ustad. It was nothing as massive or intimidating as the mountain was but it was still something that would leave a strong impact on those who saw it. He was practically drooling as he thought about what this would look like and how many people passing by to or from Merridia will see his work.
The architect would begin his work once he had traversed to the top of the plateau. He had already made the construction plans and blueprints prior to this so they were able to get right to work. While he normally did the work himself he decided to focus on instructing more, focusing on handling the more minute or important details himself.
The workers would lay down the foundation and then start to work on the framework for the walls and roof, making sure that they were built into the foundation and not a separate piece so that they are sturdy and firm. While they were working on the foundation and the framework, ustad would work on the brickwork for the walls themselves, along with making mosaic tiles for the top of the flooring.
The flooring was done in the style of Balbadd, with a mosaic pattern of spirals with light blues and yellows. The walls were more rounded, in the style that seemed popular in Merridia. Several towers would be made throughout, with onion dimes in a style that was reminiscent of both cultures.
Josser would be working on his sculptures during this. He wanted to make some reliefs in the outer walls but the Balbadd style of architecture clashed with that. It was more common in Riem buildings. So instead he was making ones that would decorate the towers. They were made in the style of meridian demons, creatures with bulging stomachs and frightful faces. The client wanted something fearsome but with Josser's delicate touch there was a serene beauty to them.
It would take a few months till the project was done. Once that had happened hey were invited to meet the mysterious patron. In the dinner hall of the new structure they were face to face with a face of a scholar, one who was focused on books and art more so than combat. They would converse, the man happy about the work that they had done. But as they ate and drank, they would begin to lose consciousness, their last veiw of that of a enormous man with a halberd and a wicked grin.

- Joss the Sculptor:
Name: Josser ‘Joss’ Tabaaq
Tier: C Tier [Plot NPC]
Damage Required to Defeat: C Tier + Borg
Description: A former student at the Magnostadt academy, Joss dropped out because he had learnt everything he wanted. Proficient at Water magic and teaching himself Strength and Life magics, he went back home to Balbadd and set up a sculpting workshop in the capital’s outskirts. After years of sculpting, however, Joss decided to travel across the world - because why not! - and met Ustad and Dasom. He now wants to create and display a sculpture at the highest point of every country to showcase his work to everyone in the entire world!
Joss is quite the eccentric - surprise, surprise - and loves his sculptures more than anything else. If he sees some inspiration, he will often stop whatever he is doing and start sculpting at a moment’s notice! It might have been this trait that made his Magnostadt professors so frustrated. Joss has such a charming personality, however, that nobody can resist laughing at his jokes. This has been useful in his line of work, as he can easily talk a potential model into working for him without much hassle. Joss has a high opinion of himself as well, both in terms of skill and looks. While it is true that he is rather handsome, with well-kempt hair and a wicked smile, his taste in fashion is often outdated or bizarre. He has a love for the fez in particular, but will go hunting for new hats whenever he travels to another place for the first time.
