Sabin, the young bounty hunter, was ecstatic upon receiving hints about a secret treasure that was said to be hidden in the deepest parts of the plains. Despite having to rely solely on rumors, Sabin remained determined to use his skills to determine whether there was any truth to these claims. He made sure to pack all the necessary equipment for his journey and set out on his quest with his companion, Nar Samum, the spirit of the flame armor, by his side.

As they journeyed deeper into the plains, Sabin's excitement began to wane and he started to worry about the possibility of not finding the treasure. Nar Samum noticed the change in his young master's demeanor and spoke up, "To be completely fair, young master, this is a search based on faith. Who told you to believe in the ramblings of such a man without finding out whether it had any weight to it?"

Sabin gave a sheepish grin and replied, "Well, it's an adventure, Nar. Shouldn't we give it a good old try before giving up? As a bounty hunter, I need to be well-versed in a lot of things, not just people. I specialize in items, treasures, and even creatures."

Nar Samum understood the importance of gaining diverse experiences as a bounty hunter and did not want to discourage his young master. With renewed determination, they continued on their journey, exploring every nook and cranny of the plains in search of the elusive treasure. As they journeyed, Sabin made sure to take note of the flora and fauna he encountered, learning everything he could about the land and its inhabitants.

Days turned into weeks, but Sabin refused to give up. He knew that the journey was just as important as the destination, and he was determined to make the most of it. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, they stumbled upon a hidden cave deep within the plains. Could this be the location of the treasure they had been searching for? With bated breath, Sabin and Nar Samum entered the cave, ready for whatever lay ahead.

As the bounty hunter found himself in the heart of the plains he would begin to catch signs of something large in the area. Trees toppled over, bones scattered here and there. But more importantly were giant paw prints in the earth caused by what looked like to the tracker, a jaguar. Only problem is that jaguars do not grow to be this large. This was all proof of Tzekal, the ancient king whose mind has become feral from being trapped inside the jade statue all this time, turning him into a true jade jaguar.

Following the tracks he would find himself near the entrance of a cave, the jaguar's home. But the beast was no where to be found which would give the young man ample time to prepare.

"Empty?"
Sabin uttered these words, his gaze dropping to the ground before sweeping across his immediate surroundings. Despite his concentrated efforts, there were no overt signs of the elusive jade tiger's presence. Perhaps his focus was lacking. Employing his keen environmental awareness, Sabin meticulously examined the cave's interior, searching for any semblance of a clue that might catch his attention. There had to be something, at the very least, a lead to pursue. After all, what kind of bounty hunter would he be if he couldn't successfully track his targets?

"Any progress?"
Nar Samum's voice reverberated from the chest plate of his flame armor, maintaining a state of suspended animation while keenly observing the unfolding situation. Initially, he had dismissed this endeavor as a futile pursuit, but witnessing his protégé's fervor, he decided to indulge young Sabin and offer guidance to keep him out of harm's way.

"Not yet, but let's give it a few more hours. You know my methodical approach," Sabin replied, his tone reflecting a blend of determination and patience.

The young man was smart in using his enhanced capabilities to observe the cave that was very much so the home of the Jade Jaguar. There were large gouges in the walls with bits of jade glittering in them. From what he could see this was the same as a den of a normal jaguar or other type of beast. bones and flies infested the cave but there was also corpses piled around the large cave. Both human and beast were crushed or ripped in half but surprisingly none of them were devoured. There was also no signs of excrement or any normal signs an animal would leave behind.

From this Sabin would confirm the rumors, The great leader from history, Tzekal Khan was no more. His mind had gone to rot inside the statue that gave him power. Now he was just a beast but a beast in mind only. He could not eat or defecate and from this Sabin could gather that none of his senses work besides hearing and sight. He could not smell the rot which would mean that he could not smell the human boy either.

Looking around there were plenty of dark nooks and crannies that he could hide in without being seen. There were many possibilities here to lay out a trap of some sort. It would be clear to him that it was only a matter of time till Tzekal would return to the cave, probably a couple of hours, nightfall.

However, if he so desired to follow the beast he would be able to do so easily by the massive prints made by its impressive weight.
