Walls (Job/Plot)

The up and coming architect from merridia known only as Ustad Maru was currently in the middle of a lunch break. He had just spent the past couple of hours working on patching up the roof of an extremely neglectful homeowner. He had chosen this particular structure in question because it was the one that he saw that clearly needed to be attended to the most. So here he was eating a sandwich that he had prepared himself while sitting on top of a stranger’s roof.

Once he was done he would climb down from the roof and go to the front door. The people who live here just so happen to not be here at the moment so he would have to force himself inside. He was only doing this, not for something malicious such as committing a burglary but simply just so that the architect and construction worker could be capable of fixing the house in it’s entirety.

So here he was working on the door in order to open it so he can slither in. Thankfully due to his experience in constructing such structures he was capable of opening the door by force without damaging anything related to the door or the integrity of the house itself.

Once inside he would see the poor shape that the interior was, furniture thrown about, garbage of various shape and size strewn across the floor and raised surfaces. This was something that would annoy the peculiar architect but he would not do anything to fix this scene that is before him. He would design the interior of buildings that he makes himself but cleaning up something like this was definitely below what he was capable of doing.

Now that he was able to get a clear look of the inside he could see that the walls were in need of repair similar to what he had just done a couple of hours ago up on the roof. The construction worker would not waste time and start working right away. He would make the same mixture that he had earlier using the remains of what he had brought, creating a plaster like substance which he would use to fill in the cracks and holes that would frequent the surface of the walls throughout the home.

Once done he would make a fresh batch of plaster to coat the whole wall in a fresh coat so that it would be one consistent color. In total this task would take a bit longer than the roof due to a larger area to fix and coat so it would take 4 or so hours with no signs of anyone returning here yet.

Once he was done he would take a break and use this time of find out if anything else was wrong with the house through a thorough inspection. He would not find anything else beside a floorboard that was loose which could be a sign of problems with the base of the structure or rot of some kind so this would end up being what he would do next before leaving.
