Setting a foundation for our future (Job/Nom)

There was a spark that was now lit in the country of the magicians. An ember that would be fed and spread by the winds of change, the winds that assisted the flames of the great lord of the eternal fire. Gilles was that wind, doing the work of her great god in order to purge this country of its wicked way and to lead the chosen ones that survive the aftermath of the trial. She had already started this process and was excited to see it come to its full potential. Soon magno would be blessed by the flames and become one of the children of their lord, under the guidance of Gilles Maru the High Priestess of the Flames Reach.

Gilles had just finished by building 5 churches all spread out through the main city of the country of magic. These churches would serve as a place of meeting, worship and safety for all children of the flames and even those not associated but instead simply need a place of sanctuary. There was one for each of the cardinal directions that represented the Cardinal Flames of the Sacred Order. The center church represented the lord itself, the great flame that gave birth to this world. However, it was not going to be enough. This was good for the existing members of the church that reside in Magno but would not do too well with gathering new members at first. She would have to do something to get the ball rolling for her order to actually begin to grow out of the small pot it started inside of.

The next step was to start an orphanage for those youth in magno that are misplaced and without anyplace that they are able to call their home. Also, it would be a sanctuary for those outside of Magnostadt who have magic and are ostracized from their own towns and families for that knowledge that they contain. Of course, this was more than just out of the kindness of her own heart, this was what made the most sense for her religion. She had spent her youth in a sort of orphanage whose purpose was to train future soldiers for the nation of Sassan. She did not mind being used for the country of Sassan however. In the orphanage she was taught about the greatness of sassan and that it was their sole duty to protect and serve the country as well as their lord Solomon. Herself, like the other orphans in the establishment took this to heart and became some of the most staunch and proactive soldiers for their country and god. So as an homage to her old home she wanted to attempt to recreate the same outcome with an orphanage of her own. An establishment that will influence the children into what they believe and what to do, all in order to serve the flames. This would be to make the perfect worshipers and followers for the Flames Reach.

Gilles would instruct her followers to start with the construction of the next building. She would have to mostly write what she had to say instead of physically voicing her desires. This was because she had taken a serious wound to her vocal pipe while she was at the great naval battle in Heliohapt. This did not prevent her from being capable to talk but it made it significantly more difficult to do so as even the slightest sound sent shocking waves of great pain through her throat. So she would find ways around this in order to communicate to those who required her guidance. She really needed to find a new voice of the Flame that would serve as a sort of interpreter for the High Priestess.

The same architect that made the designs for the churches that the organization made a few weeks ago. It would be in a similar gothic style that the churches were made in but also going for a much more welcoming style then the large, imposing structures of the churches. They would be a warm red color that would be welcoming to the children that will be residing there. The inside would have several large bedrooms that would house the children as well as a cafeteria and a classroom along with various other rooms for faculty and activities for the orphaned children. However, unbeknownst to most there will be a secret underground room that will be used for the more special training of the children to make them true children of the Flame and of Sassan both.

The Merchant companies that were underneath her sacred order would handle the documents and permits for the orphanage since they were much more accustomed to all of this than Gilles herself was. It would take a couple of weeks till they had full approval for the construction of the site which would be near their central church and would also be on land that the merchants of Magnostadt owned through legal means of course. Once they have approval, they quickly undergo with the construction of the orphanage itself.

Once she knew that construction was underway she would send out her hidden flames throughout the country in order to find any homeless children or just those that did not feel like they belonged where they were. Gilles herself would go and talk to some orphans from an overcrowded orphanage nearby. No matter the layout or structure of a country there will always be an overwhelming excess of children without families or nay place to call home. And due to this fact there will always be overcrowded orphanages that will jump at the chance to lighten their load. Also with this religious organization attempting to help with this situation they will be seen in a much better light, one whose goal is to help those when they are in need. Her meeting with the children in person was also part of this, no one trusted someone who hid their face behind others, they preferred a face to go with the name so here she was now.

The orphanage she went to was ran by the owners and not by a larger group so it was in poorer shape than the institutes that are funded by the government or others like Gilles religious order. The orphanage was dilapidated and in sore need of repair. She would frown at the site of the place, this would definitely not do. She would see a group of kids playing out in the front of the orphanage and would smile remembering her time in her own orphanage. It was a time when she was her most isolated, people avoided her due to the manner her parents died and how she constantly talked about the flames finding her family unworthy. To most this would be a traumatizing childhood but she found it to be a defining part of her life and actually sees it as an extremely happy childhood and is unable to understand how awful it actually is for most.

She would walk up to the children who were fascinated by this woman who looked more like a doll than a person with her porcelain like skin and pale hair. She would laugh and begin to play with them, enjoying with them as she was fond of children in a childlike manner. Children were pure innocence and were the most moldable state of humans, easy to twist and shape. She would play with them for a bit before taking a break and going off to find the owners. The owners were an old couple of magicians that clearly could barely afford to keep the orphanage running. She would talk to them about how she would like to be a benefactor for the orphanage and would pay them for the orphanage itself and to have it repaired and everything as long as the Flames reach Name was attached and her own people were made a part of the staff. The couple seemed grateful as they wanted to keep taking care of the children but were actually planning on closing next month. Gilles would grin and hug them with her singular arm, happy to help them. With this she would be able to have 2 orphanages now and be able to use both with her special training methods. The children would be taken care of but would also have to go through physically taxing training as well as mental training to become perfect followers. However, to those who look at it will see a normal orphanage along with normal kids, nothing would look suspicious on the surface level.

After the purchase she would return to the construction site and schedule her members to begin remodeling at the second site as well. It would take a few weeks but with the majority of her Magno branch they would be able to complete both the construction and the remodeling rather quickly. Once done they would have a grand opening and reopening for both of them. This was so that the name of the Flames Reach would spread as a religious organization that brings good to this country. When the opening was done Gilles would go and play with the kids along with some of her members who were now staff for the orphanages, ending this part of her oncoming change for magno.
