Norse, as he prefers to be called, has shunned his given name, and uses the name Norse as a way of saying, I am who I choose to be. Norse has no attatchement to a particular name, and doesn't understand the people that claim things in the name of anything but themselves. Norse, in addition scoffs at the nations that would attempt to claim that either the Finalis or the Imuchakk where inferior to them, as while he has no attachment to his people, he is strong towards the idea that they are a strong people despite the lives they have been put into.
