Mission
"Gurreakk !!!"
The pristine sand collapsed beneath the were-ox's lightweight frame with each step forward, repeating the rhythmic sound that had come to calm the creature over the days that it transformed. It's mind was blank, only following the will of it's newly primal instincts as it treaded around the radiated sands of Tartarus. It was an evergrowing problem in the country, with the officials doing the best that they could to ensure that the being would regain some it it's senses. This was just one of those days, this time it was Were-ox that has not taken the transformation too well and gone rabid.
" Huff Puff...grr..."
The cool breeze blew through it's long brown fur, and across it's roughly battle-scarred skin. The body of the dungeon beast was not magnificent nor great, but it had been chosen nonetheless as a result of being exposed to the radiated magic that initiated the transformation of one being able to become their true selves.
But for most that seemed to have lost themselves, the inside of their heads was nothing short of insanity. However, regardless of the appearance that these people took and how they stood among others, Lagi made a promise to himself to help them no matter what.
"Grrr......"
The moment's task required that the were-ox be rid of the taunting voices in its head to focus on its new opponent, it wanted to have a clear mind for combat whenever it came across another being that gave off the feeling of challenging it.
"G-et...UrrrrA-wa...Ahhh!!!!"
Another primal roar mixed with the difficulties of trying to form words only made Lagi frown.
The ox girl stopped atop a large dune and sniffed the air for several seconds. Lagi may have looked human, but it still knew better. As his appearance may have been, the ox still had the heightened senses of the dungeon beast form that it was. Hundreds, if not thousands, of scents, were carried on the wind, and it analyzed every one for which smelled the sweetest. A sweeter scent meant sweeter flesh, which in turn was an indication of powerful prey to the primal mind of the ox.
"Hey, are you sure you should be sidetracking yourself in such a way? No one in this direction of town is for dinner, I dislike the cannibalism of my citizens. "
The ox disappeared from atop the sand with hardly a sound, other than the static of it's unnatural A-tier speed. It was probably a side effect of the berserk status, with its abilities being even stronger than before. A scent that seemed to be stronger than average had been found and it wasted no time in considering whether or not to pursue it. Standing still would only give the ox the time to think about the overlord hunting it down, and the night was better spent on hunting. Yes, the creature just had to think of nothing but the hunt. For now, that was the were-ox's purpose and meaning.
"Get back here!!!"
With Lagi transforming into his full demon form and calling out to his demons, he decided that the best thing to do was try to cut off the ox and try to surround it. Once he was able to do that, he would start to immobilize the dungeon beast and do the best that he could to bring it back to its senses. He still remembered the earlier instances of the creature attempting to speak and form words. It made it worth it for Lagi to know that there was a little glimmer of sanity that resided within the mind of the were-ox.
After a while, Lagi managed to catch up to the creature and landed right beside it. When it backed away, The Sogaxod clones circled and stared down at the being. It knew that it was cornered, which is the worst thing you could do to a predator. Once a creature feels like it has nothing to lose, it's better to expect that it would fight even more ferociously than before. It stood up tall and glared in Lagi's direction, possibly having the idea of forgetting about its meal and taking him on.
