Job Overview: The Sokka clan, minor lords within the Toh clan, were targeted by a strange woman for talks. Eight has gone to talk about how he can help the clan, in exchange for any amount of help. Eight offers the Toh clan slave workers to help the Sokka Clan produce more drugs or even test their newest concoctions, allowing for more development of the drugs. In return, the Sokka clan will provide a small portion of the excess drugs to the Kogata clan.
Hyperion, having now changed his name after the Birthday Fiasco with Dalia. Having lost one apprentice, but gaining another. He would bring Manaka with him once more trying to get her accustomed to his ways of doing business. They would travel over the lands of Kina with relative ease on his flying carpet, with a blistering pace. From the Kogata territory and travelling to the Toh Territory that he had already gotten familiar with during the festival, by pledging allegiance to their clan. He recalled how easy going the people of Toh were when he had come to join them after the Toh clan had decided to make a formal alliance with the Kogata clan along side the Kazeharu and the Morihana clans.
Hyperion had caught wind of one of the clans responsible for the productions of drugs within the clan. It was a closely guarded secret, and Hyperion had no need for those drugs or that information. And if he did it, Jynx had the Dark Hand at his beck and call to provide whatever illicit substance desired. Hyperion would meet with the clan head of the Sokka clan, a young adult in pure black leather that seemed to be similar to a taoist robe, with polarized lenses. The man had been awaiting Hyperions arrival for some time now, but as he saw the slaver descend on a flying carpet, he opened the door to Hyperion and his guest.
Once they were in a little home, Hyperion seemed to realize the village was rather desolate, very few homes, lots of trees, and even less than the basic necessities, but there were some obvious reasons for it as he would soon realize as the clan leader lead him into his home. The home was mostly subterranean. "I'm sure you understand our position. The kogata spies are simply too resourceful, we must keep what little original knowledge we can to ourselves, and the medicine we create here is a vital fluid to our way of life, but I only care of one thing, how you can help us maintain our lifestyle? Things will be changing here in the near future, when you've been around as long as I have, you get a knack for these sort of things."
Hyperion was aware, but the blunt man made things easier, but he was clearly no fool as he had already anticipated Hyperion's angle of negotiation. It had seemed to him that he was still too much of a novice when he had been so transparent, but Manaka took charge and offered the Sokka Clan head a document, detailing information on what the slaver was willing to offer him in exchange for sharing some performance enhancing drugs to the Kogata clan. The document showed how labor costs would be reduced, and they would also have more test subjects to study the effects of their substances with the slaves being offered. The Sokka clan head would accept, quickly making arrangement for the delivery of the slaves to this hidden village.
"We'll continue to be in touch. I don't know if this'll be enough for us, so we might have issues with our deliveries." Those words were practically saying that the deal would not go through smoothly even though he had accepted... but the ease and the person behind this clan could possibly be a big thorn in his side. He would accept and wait for future demands, eager to have accomplished the task at least at it's most basic level.
