Personality: Despite appearances, Fenriris (sometimes called “Fen” by those close to him) is kind, compassionate and gentle. He is often misunderstood for a delinquent as he tends to scowl and frown when he is nervous, or simply in general. However, Fen is incredibly shy and though he wants nothing more than to make friends, he finds himself freezing up and getting his tongue twisted in the presence of strangers. Once he is given enough time to come out of his shell and is given the chance to get to know another, he becomes thoroughly attached. His level of loyalty can often seem limitless and unfortunately, it is this trait of his that has led him to be taken advantage of. To the few people he has managed to open up to, he has found himself betrayed in exchange of his trust more often than he has experienced warmth and kindness. While this has made it even more of a challenge to get close to this elusive Imuchakk, it has not once deterred his desire to find lifelong companions and friends. The betrayals wrought in his past have only manifested through fear of being hurt again, and his flustered behaviour in the face of uncertainty is a testament to this. Fen has little room for hate in his heart; he is both a loving and hopeful being, wishing for nothing but to spread both to all those he meet, never expecting to have it reciprocated, but always wishing.
Likes:
- Animals: Fen has a near obsession for small, cute and fluffy things, and this includes animals. He has a particular fondness for kitties and puppies, though given his enormous size, he is always far to scared of causing them harm to approach them. It is for this reason, Fen will often shy away from such creatures and will purposefully scaring them, all the while his heart shatters into pieces at the sight of them running away. However, he will never hesitate to offer a helping hand to the ones in need, feeding and sheltering homeless animals and while they are frightened to begin with, they are quick to warm to him.
- Sky, Sea and Earth: Fen has an immense appreciation for the world around him, whether it be people or otherwise, but what he loves the most about the world is simply what it has to offer. He loves nature in its calmest and wildest forms. His favourite pastime is to laze about in open meadows or watch a storm rage around him. While he is sometimes known for his cowardice (or aggressive shyness; one can never underestimate the glare he uses to disguise his fear), he often walks willingly into typhoons and storms, simply because he finds them both fascinating and calming.
Dislikes:
- Children: Surprisingly, despite Fen’s love for all things cute, children are a major exception and depending on who you ask, this can be both a mysterious or understandable fact. The reason is purely simple: children can be ruthless bullies. Overcoming their fear for the unknown and giant, Fen has been subjected to various throwing projectiles from the hands of “harmless” children on more than several occasions, sometimes daily. While the Imuchakk would never dream of causing direct harm to children, and will in fact lay his life down to protect them, he will go at extreme lengths and fear no costs to avoid the little cretins.
- Hunting: A trait that has led Fen down the road of an outcast with his fellow Imuchakks is his inability to come to terms with the consumption of animals in order to satisfy hunger. His love for animals means he detests the Imuchakk tradition and culture of hunting and fishing, and his diet is completely plant-based.
Aspirations: A wish tried and tested throughout his life with countless obstacles, but has never diminished, is Fen’s desire to be surrounded by people he cherishes and cherish him back. Through a series of remarkable and slightly comedic misunderstandings, Fen came to the conclusion that he needed to establish a gang. While he has had little to no successes in attaining his aspiration, his determination has only increased with the passing years, but little can be done for his shyness and lack of confidence. Another, possibly equally challenging aspiration, is Fen’s desire to bring lasting peace to the world. Having witnessed much bloodshed, war and corruption, his compassion has led to do everything in his capacity to achieve what most people consider impossible.
Phobias/fears:
- Darkness: Being unable to fully grasp his surroundings is Fen’s largest fear, so potent a fear that he must sleep with a reasonably sized light source available in order to achieve a decent slumber and even then, he often find himself waking fitfully in the middle of the night. His fear stems from childhood trauma, having been subjected to being locked in a dark cellar as punishment for misbehaviours he didn’t quite understand. While he has left his childhood far behind, the phobia for the dark is a lasting remnant that continues to haunt him every day and night.
