Imuhulk: Origins VII [Chain/Hohotaro,SolomonxKing]

Quest:

The next day Hohotaro woke up with a wide smile on his face. For him every little things seems to be brighter and more beautiful. The warm light of the sun and the gentle breeze of the air fills him with the feeling of peace. He jumps out of his bed and walked towards the window to greet the singing bird perched on his window sill. "Hey there little birdie isn't this such a wonderful day?" The bird flies away and Hohotaro takes in the fresh smell of the bazaar in the morning. He nods to himself and says. "It's such a beautiful day."

Hohotaro jaunts down the stairs towards the tavern with a spring in his step and a song in his head. He approached the innkeeper and asked for his breakfast to be served.

"Good morning mister Innkeeper! I'll have your most expensive meal on the list!"

Hohotaro smiles at the inkeeper and gave his payment then he sat down at the table besides a window looking towards the bazaar. The server sets the food and a hot cup of coffee in front of Hohotaro on the table but he is just staring outside daydreaming about his date the night before.

Hohotaro picks up the cup of coffee and pours in some milk and honey in it and takes a sip.

"Hahhh... It really is such a beautiful day." he sighed.

Solomon would be sitting by the front door of the Inn at this point, before hand having travelled first out of town to grab Largo where he had kept him as he was busy in town, then back into town as he wished for Hohotaro to see his new companion. Solomon sitting at the crack of the door as Largo ate something the keeper gave him was not sure what but Largo did not mind either way as he knew it was meat of some sort. Solomon would easily be able to notice when Hohotaro came down and he would just sit and watch he would smile from the corner of the door till Hohotaro would notice him, "So an enjoyable night?" Solomon would ask as he turned to face him, he would listen to what he had to say and discuss further into what had happened. "Oh and I want you to meet my new companion." Solomon would turn to open the door a bit more as Hohotaro would come closer. If Hohotaro would reach out to touch Largo he would growl at him and snip at his hand, if he would keep his distance Largo would come over and simply smell him before going back to his food.

"So I talked to the leader of that group last night, he will meet us at the docks when they are ready... Are you almost ready to go?"

"Morning Mon! Yeah! I can say that the date is a success." Hohotaro recalls his date with Hanna.

Hohotaro doesn't have much experience on what to do on these things so it just ends up him doing things he thinks he and Hanna might enjoy. They first went on a tour around the bazaar with Hanna as the guide. They saw countless oddities and had fun laughing at all the weird stuff being sold. At one point Hohotaro almost bought Hanna a set of bra thinking it was a cap. Hanna blushed and explained to him what they are really for.

"By the way Mon... I now know what a bra is... you sneaky..." Hohotaro looks at Solomon suspiciously for tricking him into wearing a bra as a cap.

What Hohotaro clearly remembered was when they left the bazaar and head towards the white beach by the sea.He remembers walking by the soft powdery sands of the beach with Hanna beneath the pale blue sky looking at the horizon waiting for the sun to sink beneath the waves. As they both gaze side by side as the moon replaces the sun he inches closer and closer towards her close enough so that he notice the sweet scent of lavender and vanilla embrace his senses. With his heart almost exploding from his chest he slowly reached for Hanna's soft delicate hand and slowly touched it with the tip of his fingers.

Hanna smiles as he looks up at the blushing Imuchakk trying to act casual as he gently touches her hand. She slowly brushed her hair behind her ear using her other hand and leaned closer to Hohotaro intertwining her fingers with his and resting her head on his shoulder.

"Anyway... yeah it was fun! We even held hands." Hohotaro proudly proclaimed.

"She even invited me to her home saying she wanted to make me breakfast. I was confused since it's still night time... Anyway I have to decline... I  mean breakfast here in the tavern is so good haha!" Hohotaro sips on his coffee.

"She said she would like to meet me again soon so that's a good sign right? Oh yeah. That reminds me. Hanna have a friend, she's not bad at all. Do you want me to introduce you to her?" Hohotaro teases Solomon.

"Really? Who is it?" Hohotaro asked extremely curious as to who was Solomon's new friend is.  Solomon would turn and open the door and Hohotaro would see a magnificent tiger standing right outside.

"Whoa... where did you get him? He looks so awesome! It's a he right?" Hohotaro squats beside the beast.

"Hey there big fella, who's the good boy... What's his name?" He reached out his open palm slowly but the tiger snaps at him.

"Eh... so feisty." Luckily Hohotaro managed to avoid the bite but he falls down on his ass.

"Anyway back to business..." Hohotaro picks himself up from the ground and dusts off his back. "Did you find the leader of those mercenaries at the tavern?" Hohotaro would listen to Solomon's reply.

"That's good! Let's go meet them right away! We need to hurry we already took too much time preparing... I'm afraid what will happen to those captives if we don't save them fast." Hohotaro follows Solomon towards the docks to meet with the mercenaries he hired.

"That is good that your date went well,... and we can always get you a new bra hat." Solomon would reply as he walked over to Largo and patted his back before sitting upon him. Largo would then stand and others would be able to see that he was quite large, about 3.5 meters from head to base of tail, and stands a meter and a half tall; quite large, when considering others of its species. "Largo likes to be in charge, so if he wishes to be pet he will allow it and show it, oddly enough he allows me to be the one in charge when it comes to the two of us" Solomon would then laugh as he said, "The date was time to prepare?... Well let us go then." Solomon would then ride Largo down the street towards the docks, others moved out of the way especially when they saw such a beast. When Hohotaro caught up to Solomon he would then look to him and say, "Apparently one of these ships are theirs.... now we just have to figure out which one." They would look and see a couple of large vessels docked at the port, the port was quite busy at this time of day but Solomon did however know. "We are looking for a vessel with white and a red stripped flag."

After finding the vessel Solomon would ride Largo up and onto the ship, many of the men moved aside in fear as they saw such a creature but the leader of the group would walk up and saw, "Finally it took you boys long enough." he would nod to Solomon.

"Yeah it prepared me emotionally haha..." Hohotaro laughs awkwardly at Solomon's comment.

"Anyway! Let's go!" Hohotaro followed Solomon towards the docks to meet with the mercenary leader. Solomon seems to know what he was looking for so Hohotaro just let him do his job. Eventually they reached a ship with a white and red striped flag flying on it's mast.

"Finally it took you guys long enough." a man nodded to Solomon. This man seems different from the rest of the mercenary Hohotaro fought in the tavern. He has an air of experience on him and the scars to prove it.

"Heh... Well... we apologize to keep you waiting." Hohotaro answers sarcastically since he might not have been waiting long, it's still very early in the morning.

"So... did my friend already told you to the job?" Hohotaro asked the leader.

"Aye, we're off to rescue some slaves. The pay is good and the work is easy." The leader answered as he stands up and shouted. "Lower the planks we're coming aboard. Walk this way guv. Welcome to the Crimson Corsair" the mercenary leader grins and courtesy sarcastically in front of the two Imuchakks.

Confused, Hohotaro bows in return thinking that it's some sort of a formality in these parts of the world and follows the leader inside his ship.

"So where're we headed guv? And do ya already 'ave a plan of action?" Asked the mercenary leader as he escorted the two imuchakks towards the captain's quarters.

Inside the captain's quarters Hohotaro hands over a map with the location of the facility to the leader. "Everything you need to know is in this map. As for the plan... we don't really have a plan..." Hohotaro scratches his head.
"I guess we can knock on their door and ask them to let us in? haha..."

The mercenary leader looks at Hohotaro with piercing eyes. "Ya are talking about the lives of my men here guv. If ya don't have a plan then both of ya can leave."

Hohotaro glances at Solomon as if asking for help to think of something to say.

Solomon would stand next to Largo as Hohotaro and their leader spoke, he would laugh as Hohotaro looked to him, "Sorry, that is just how we would usually handle things with the two of us and it is usually enough for us. Judging by the strength of your crew we should probably use this vessel as more a distraction leaving you and some trusted men aboard to gain their attention but stay out of harms way, and in that time I believe myself, Hohotaro and some of your men to infiltrate their base while they are distracted." Solomon would say this as he continued to pet Largo who would purr into his hand, "And yes your coming with me, do not worry, but I will be putting you somewhere protected away from battle." The leader would look to Hohotaro and back to Solomon, "I'm willing to consider that plan, we will see as we get closer." The leader would then turn away from them and begin yelling to the crew, Solomon and Hohotaro would be able to see as they lifted the anchor and took the bridge away from the docks, they worked fast and steadily as the unveiled the sails. Solomon would look to Hohotaro, "They might be weak but they seem to be better than good when it comes to sailing." Solomon would then walk over to one of the quarters to find a area that Largo could sit and rest for the journey, he would spend most of his time laying against Largo and speaking with Hohotaro if he came to rest nearby.

The travel back to the facility was fairly uneventful. The sea is calm and the crew knew exactly what they are doing. Hohotaro is able to with Solomon and Largo inside their quarters.

"Can Largo do tricks? Like biting people's head off? Haha" Hohotaro jests as he tries to make Largo like him by giving it some scraps of food. "Or maybe can you teach him not to bite me at least."

The ship reached the vicinity of the island where the facility is located. They dropped anchor just outside of the view of the facility to get ready for the coming operation. A crewman knocks on Hohotaro and Solomon's door. "We're here, captain is waiting for you in his quarters."

"Welp, here we go, is your cat coming?" Hohotaro grins at Largo. They then followed the crewman towards the captain's quarters.

They reached the captain's quarters and see the mercenary leader looking outside with a use of some kind of magic tool. "Hmmm... you failed to mention that we're infiltrating a military base." The mercenary leader greets Hohotaro and Solomon with a gruff. "I guess that's understandable. There are more soldiers than you Imuchakks can count." The mercenary leader shook his had and paced the room. "Change of plans." He slams his hand on the table and points at Hohotaro and Solomon. "Both of ya can go alone and make sure the gate is open. And THEN we'll follow."

Hohotaro scratches his head in confusion. "Eh? Then what's the point of us even asking for reinforcements if we're just to go in by ourselves."

"You two can sneak in and open the gates and we'll help control the whole facility." The mercenary leader replied. "It's the only way we'll help."

"Fine..." Hohotaro answered exasperated at the circumstances. "But since we're taking the most dangerous mission then we'll have to take a bigger cut on the payment."

"It's a deal. No amount of gold can compare to the lives of my men." The mercenary captain turns around and gestures for the two Imuchakk to leave him alone.

"Heh... that sucks... Well at least I'll get to use my new cap haha! You better keep your eyes on me Mon or you'll miss it!" Hohotaro puffed out his chest as they board the rowboat to go towards the island.

They traveled towards the island and found themselves at the side of the facility. They are quietly hiding besides some bushes. They can see 2 guards patrolling the wall and other guards manning the towers. They just need to sneak in and open the gates. The infiltration mission has begun.

Solomon shrugged as he heard what the leaders response was, "This is how we usually do it anyway, not that big of a deal, I just knew we would need a vessel of sorts to possibly save the slaves." He would then turn to to Hohotaro as they prepared themselves to leave, Solomon would reply, "Same with you Hoho, watch the earth and make sure I do not accidentally hit you." As they finally hit land they would both see a facility, and they would couch of the nearby bushes as they would see two guards patrolling the wall and other guards manning the towers but Solomon was not the most stealthiest and he knew this, at this time it would be good enough as the distance between them and the guards where good but if he were to get any closer he knew he would be seen. "So what did you want to do Hoho?... I think if I go any farther I would be seen and I'm assuming you would like to do this as stealthily as we can, or did you wish to charge in?.. I am just worried they may attack the slaves if we are noticed." Solomon would await Hohotaro's reply as he would then tie Largo to a nearby tree so he would be a safe distance away... If largo wished he had enough force to break free but he would listen to Solomon's command. He would then turn back to face Hohotaro, "If you think you can get any closer, I may be able to hit the nearest guard with my thorn ability, but as for ranged I do not have much else."

Hohotaro focused on a space just behind the wall of the facility. Using his Hunter's Cap he tries to detect any living thing within 10 meters of that point. He sensed 2 of the guards that's watching the wall as well as 6 more resting inside their quarters.

"We're just beside their quarters there are 6 inside not counting the two on top and the other 4 on the tower... We should find a different place to try to get in." Hohotaro tarted sneaking towards the other side of the facility sticking close to the wall so that the guards on the tower would not easily spot them. When they reach the far corner of the facility Hohotaro raised his arms gesturing Solomon to stop. He would then slowly peek around the corner to see whether any enemy can be seen.

Hohotaro cannot see any enemy on this side of the wall but to be sure he signaled to Solomon to stay where he is while he go on ahead towards a thick canopied tree nearby. He climbed on top of the tree to get a better vantage point of the facility. He would use his Hunter's cap to hide his presence and blend with the canopy of the tree so that the he cannot be seen as easily. He can no longer sense the guards from before, probably because they've traveled too far and the cap can only work within a set distance.

While on the tree Hohotaro can see a lone guard just on top of Solomon. Hohotaro thinks that he can reach the guard, the branches of the tree is close enough and it also helps that his ability camouflaged him. He slowly climbs towards the guard and as soon as he's on top of him he jumps and pushes the guard off the wall towards Solomon. He would then look down the wall and signals for Solomon to climb up since the place is clear of enemies.

While Solomon is climbing the wall Hohotaro would look around the area more. He would look at the compound and see countless soldiers training and patrolling. He cannot see the lock of the main door from where he is standing. It might be a good sign since that could only mean that it's not clearly visible from the outside and they have a chance to sneak in and break the lock without alerting the countless soldiers on the grounds.

At this time if Solomon succesfully climbed the wall Hohotaro would say pointing at the soldiers on the compound. "So... we certainly don't want to disturb the beehive." He would then points towards the other side of the wall. "The main door is over there... so I guess we might have to fight a couple of guards on our way." Hohotaro frowns and scratches his head. "My weapon is very bright since it shoots fire arrows... It will alert everyone like a flare." Hohotaro sighs. "Do you have any ideas Mon?"

Solomon would just watch as Hohotaro acted like a monkey then somewhat camouflaged himself, "hmm nice, so that is what you meant." Solomon would watch as Hohotaro crawled across the branch to reach out for the guard, he conviently fell directly towards Solomon so all he would have to do is move and Basic Kick the guard towards the wall where he would leave his limp body out of sight from anyone else. He was surprised it was a guard rather than a archer, which he knew meant that most of the archers manned the towers then, he would look up to see Hohotaro gesturing him up and then would look back to the guard, he was unconscious which was enough for Solomon he refused to kill anyone he could avoid killing. He would however use the body of the guard to help him climb the wall as he stepped on him, finally reaching the top of the wall he would look around and see the many men as Hoho spoke to him. Solomon would think out loud, "We definitely should have brought someone who specializes in stealth for this so your arrows are too bright and my abilities would be too loud, I only have one ranged skill I could possibly use for a distance shot but it would have to get them in one hit.... I think we are stuck using our hands for most of this buddy. I am thinking we should take out some of the archers in the towers before we move towards the gate, it would not be good if one of them saw us... I'll deal with the towers if you wish to go for the door."

Solomon would then quickly and quietly run across the wall towards one of the towers, it made it slightly awkward as the towers were taller then the wall but separated as its own building, but Solomon would jump from the walls they were on to grab the side of the tower, it would take him some time but he would eventually make it to the top where he would see the firsts archers back. He would climb his way into the opening but the archer would turn immediately as Solomon was not the best with stealth and his axe clanged off the side, however it was too late for the archer as Solomon already diving towards him first grabbing his mouth so he did not scream out, the bringing down a Basic Attack upon his face. He would be easily out cold as these archers seemed to be even weaker then the guards. Solomon was able to see the next Archer quite easily from this tower and even though he did not wish to kill this was the most reliable way at the moment, "Sorry guy." he would say to himself before raising his arm using Thorn which shot a thorn out of his palm towards the archer as 20 m/s which even if the archer did notice it was much to late to do anything about it. The last image in the archers mind would be this wooden thorn which was 1 meter in length and 15 cm in width, he would be able to reach up and feel the hard wood merge when his neck and his own warm blood spilling out. Solomon would stand and watch for a moment as the guard did this and then when the guard would fall Solomon would jump back down onto the wall and make his way for the next tower.

He wouldn't have two thoughts about what he did as he was much too busy, this left two more towers, one just above the gate and one at the other corner, Solomon would decide the hit the farthest one first as that one would most definitely be watching the tower at the gate, as he climbed up he guessed wrong he would be face to face with the archer, he would let out a, "Oi!" just before having his face meet with Solmon's Rampaging axe as a Basic Attack, Solomon would sigh as he clanged onto the side of the tower, "Another one" he would say to himself, the archers yell was not loud enough to bring any attention to Solomon. At this point Solomon could feel that he was getting sick of killing people, and he believed he had too because he was weak, if he was just strong enough to trap them he would do that. These were the thoughts that crossed his mind as he went for the last tower, but they slipped away as he noticed that last tower archer signalling one of the guards towards the gate, Solomon would be able to see Hohotaro climbing down the wall towards the gate and so must have the archer, Solomon would race up the next toward to grab the archer from behind who already had his bow drawn, Solomon would not even wait to see what the arches arms did next as he was already in the process of falling backwards using Castle Toss, which would throw the archer out of the tower and over the wall they had climbed over, surely the wall killed him too if not he would consider going to heal him afterwards. Solomon noticed that the guard had lost his guide so he was not sure where or what he was looking for but he was close to Hohotaro at the main gate and that was enough to make Solomon decide to jump from the tower he was in towards the guard, he would successfully take the guard to the ground also taking D-tier falling damage to his chest where it had impacted the guards armour, the guard would only find himself in darkness after, and Hohotaro would be able to see Solomon using Wardens Grasp on the guard pushing his face into the ground to the point of suffocation.

Abilities Used:

Hohotaro would follow Solomon through the facility walls staying under the cover of darkness. He watches as his companion systematically dispose of the guards on their path. As soon as the path is clear Hohotaro would again use his Hunter's cap to double check whether there are guards hiding within the perimeter of the main gate. He focused just before the gate to detect and life forms around, there was no other guards within the immediate vicinity except for those Solomon had already taken out.

Hohotaro would then sabotage the locking mechanism of the gate by just punching it multiple times to break any moving parts it may have. Now the gate cannot be closed and if they attack then it would be easy to breach the walls.

Hohotaro would then signal Solomon that everything is done and he would climb down the wall and return to the Mercenary ship to plan the next step.
