The sunlight was shrouded in clouds. It was an overcast day, and it had been raining heavily across the horizon, where the clouds had concentrated their path. However, overhead, it was merely a drizzle of precipitation. Her hair was sleek and moist, her fingers took advantage of the conditions to style her hair back.
Chimera was calmed by the motion as she continued through the plains. But now in the distance, there was a family of four, mother, father, son and daughter, stampeding towards her.

Chimera was able to notice that they were terrified for their lives, and they also seemed to be coming from the direction of the rainstorm. In pursuit, was a large, grizzly bear, trotting right behind them at full force, equally soaked by the rain.

Chimera's lips curled up into a smile as the rain grew more intense and the drops dense. The rain drops pooled across her face like dew and started to race down her face as they could no longer sustain themselves along her face. She signaled the family in the rain with an arm raised, telling them to come to her, with her fingers.

The father pulled his son and wife together, while the wife carried the youngest one in her remaining arm, their feet kicking up mud, with hope in their eyes as if they might actually survive this encounter thanks to this mystery woman.

There was a split decision from the parents, the mother wanted to keep running away with the children. However, the father has a bit more confidence and he stopped both his wife and his son from going any further. Turning to his wife, and then overlooking Chimera's shoulder towards the rampaging ursine. Chimera's face was calm despite the rain and the beast. For some reason, it gave the father confidence and as he gripped his wife's hand tighter. "No, I think we should stay... she can do this."

Chimera took a few steps forward towards the beast, a little more motivated than she was before.

The bear came as fast as possible at her as if Pouncing at her. Charging full speed exceeding it's sprint speed by a small margin, closing the gap. The family moved away to give Chimera a bit more space for combat. Chimera took a small hop, raising her right arm against the beast. It transformed, as scales slowly formed across it. Right Serpent Scales came out at about the same speed as she blocked as she moved in the same direction as the bear to time it easily. She was quick to follow up with her other arm, which engorged proportionately with the tissues that formed it. As she smacked the beast across the snout with her Left Lion Paw, and following up with a kick to the muzzle as well.

The bear was stunned for a moment, and the family let out a unified holler of their own, celebrating the combo that Chimera had unleashed on the bear. They had hoped perhaps that was the end of it and the bear would run and stampede back to its home in the plains in fear, but now the bear was twice as furious and let out a plain-trembling roar across the fields, which instantly hushed the family as if they were trapped in headlights.

Chimera was no longer excited now that she knew the beasts strength from the last strike. It was clear that she had this in the bag, but now the bear came with an even more intense, power-filled Claw Attack. She used her Right Serpent Scales to block the brunt of the damage, but it was too much for her and she felt the pain across her arm.

With a final smile, she knew exactly what had to be done to finish this bear, and now she also had a reason to.

The pain across her right arm lingered as she tried to refocus herself. Chimera's eyes looked the the muddy ground, and aimed to take advantage of it by using her Underground Railroad. Her arms coiled up in a moments notice, and she dove into the ground. The rain had left the soil saturated with water. As Chimera dug through the ground, mud clods were flung through the air, hitting everyone in the vicinity. Leaving the poor family in complete disarray. They pivoted swiftly realizing their hero had left them.  The bear had realized its opponent had vanished, unleashing another roar in anger. At first it tried to Claw at the hole but to no avail. It then continued to prowl around the hole, but the family's running activated the ursines instincts to chase after its prey, but Chimera had been traveling underground in the same direction as the beast. The bear went to Pounce on the family, but a spike came from beneath the ground, piercing the bears underside. It was Slaver's Whipcrack from beneath the floor. It had lifted the bears carcass into the air as she used her hair to help assist her emergence from the ground. She was soaked with the bears disemboweled entrails, and the pool of blood. As she breached the bloods surface, she put her hands into the soil, and her hair flipped the bear off of her so she could rise to her feet. Her whole body was covered in mud and soil stuck to her body, her calves and her midsection weren't completely drenched in the mud, but still had collateral splatter sprayed across them, and then caked over the mud was the bears blood and some of the intestines hanging off of her body.

She looked up into the sky with a smile as the rain began to wash away the evidence of violence away, the entrails slipping off her body and into the hole beneath her. The family... looked even more terrified of her than they looked from the bear. They stood still, but eventually the father threw some spare gold coins he had to the floor and he sped off with his family afraid for his families life.
