The Beast and I [Training/Solo]

It was one perfect day for the liger to being lazy, he lay on the floor and sleeping soundly, without even noticing that the black haired girl who slept on the bed was already woke up. He would let out a satisfied growl and yawned, opened his big jaw and revealed his sharp teeth inside before shutting down his mouth. The magician stared at her liger for a while, watching him making cute face while he was still asleep and kept staring intensely. Her liger was too comfortable… maybe she should train him to keep his guard up, so she reached for her wand and whispered to the rukh. It was her own intention to let Haku hear her voice as she believe the liger could guard himself up… unless he didn’t notice it. “Lightning Shard.” She commanded firmly, saying it loud enough so the liger could hear it. But she didn’t see any sign of him reacting to her voice, so she kept quiet, letting the small shard of electricity to travel towards the liger. Just when the shard almost touched its furry body, Haku growled viciously and used his paw to smack the shard. The white furred beast would look around, panicking that there might be an ambush. He started to run around room, sniffing everywhere he could sniff and growled. Noir found the liger’s act amusing, and she couldn’t help but just observing it. After some time has passed, the black haired girl whistled, making the liger quickly sat down obediently in front of the female magician.

“Good job… but looks like you still need more training…” Noir frowned a little before giving a gentle pet on Haku’s head. “As a wild beast, you should able to keep your guard up. Just in case someone would attack you in your sleep… you’ll never know…right?” She got a soft growl from the liger and that meant that he was ready to do some training. Noir would nod and then exited the room, bringing both of them to the backyard of the inn. She already knew what kind of training that she should give to Haku, as she now was planning for giving him whole week training. The purpose was just to increase his guard up and also to make his new ability became stronger, but they would stick to the basic.

Noir would try to balance the meditation time and also the physical training for her liger, planning to make her beast having this fit figure. She would use her ice magic to create several big rings around the backyard so Haku could run around the backyard and jumped into the ring as well, she believed that it would be a good training for him. But it was not all things that they would do, as she made Haku to harden his fur forcefully by spamming her spells towards him, it lasted around two days at most. At that moment, Haku couldn’t really sleep as tight as he could before because he needed to get ready for a sudden attack from the female magician. Every day felt like a torture because he didn’t get enough rest, but this was what Noir wanted and he believed that his effort would bore a fruit of success later on. The liger’s sense sharpening gradually, seeming to be on his guard more every time the magician cast her spell towards him, making him capable to block the spell and also train his defensive skill as well as used the chance to made use of his new ability, to hardened his fur.

As the golden eyed girl gave him a day off so he could rest, Haku was very delighted and quickly rubbed his head on Noir’s leg. “Well, you did a good job. So, I think why not giving you a day off as your present.” She petted her liger and motioned him to go back to the room, thinking that they already had done enough training and she could see the white beast development. Noir could just use the bracelet that she had so she could communicate with Haku, but she refrained in doing so because she thought indulging training was more important and they could always do that at the other time. “Now little Haku… who are not so little right now.” Noir called, petting the fur of her liger gently. “I hope you were okay doing such kind of harsh training…. Because I believe that you can push yourself to the limit if you were in that kind of situation.” She smiled a little when Haku just let out a happy growl, seemed pleased by everything.

Four days of training was successfully bear fruit right now as when the girl cast her spell suddenly, the liger could sense it and redirect it. He could even fire some fireball to make it clash with the black haired girl’s spell. The fact that the training was successfully done granted the white liger with black strip something special, his ruby eyes sparkled like a jewel when he saw a big chunk of raw, fresh meat being served in front of him, making him growled happily to her master, thanking her for the gift. The white colored beast would them bite the meat and putting it in his mouth, slowly increasing his body temperature so he could cook the raw meat into his liking. Well, he didn’t really like raw meat and he rather use his natural ability to cook his own meal, the taste was tastier for him. Noir only stare at her liger that was eating happily right now, enjoying the result of his own effort even though Noir felt a little guilt for suddenly attacking her liger for the sake of enhancing his abilities. The smell of the cooked meat inside Haku’s mouth makes everyone around drooled; it really had a good smell. But Haku wouldn’t want to share because the beef was like his favorite, and now that he got the chance to eat it, he gratefully accepted it.
