Finally, after two years staying at Reim, the lightning magician could finally convince herself that she was strong enough to enter the Coliseum. She needed to measure her strength again after all the things she did from training with her first mentor, studying hard at Magno and of course, surviving from that dreadful island. The black haired girl only need two things, her wand and of course, determination. She could use the coliseum match as her way to relieve any negative thinking she had right now about herself and if she won in the match, she would feel better. This was not a playground, she was fully aware of that since she could be easily killed here if she didn’t prepare herself. Waiting in the barracks that was full of the fighters made Noir tried to find the less crowded spot and closed her eyes, slowly calming herself down and meditate. As her name was called, she opened her eyes. Here we go…

Noir entered the arena with a determination shown in her eyes, she felt the same thing like when she did her Kodor Test. There was a glint of excitement shown in her emotionless face, she was more than ready to fight. Her beloved wand was already in her grip, ready to be used as a medium to cast her spells and now she was waiting for her enemy to show up. As the opposite gate was being opened, the golden eyed girl could saw a man that looked like a trained fighter. He carried something that looked like an old sword, but it must be have been by his side in countless battle. She didn’t underestimate him, she learnt much from her previous experience, even though maybe not much if being compared to the man’s experience, to not underestimate her enemy ever. I need to launch the first attack no matter what… she thought, planning her strategy mentally since if she let the man getting closer to her, she would not be able to counter his attack and even attacked back easily. That old sword might stabbed her right before she could even do anything if she didn’t think of any food strategy from now.

Before the match start, Noir stayed still on her spot and gave the man a quick bow, “Noir…” she said firmly with confident tone inside her voice. She had this habit to tell the enemy her name because of what her guardian taught her, this was the way to give respect to the enemy. The man would replied, “Rufi…” and stayed still too. The roar from the audience could be heard throughout the coliseum and they were cheering for the man called Rufi, telling him to quickly finish Noir off. The girl was not aware of that, she would rather be focused with the enemy in front of her than hearing the audience cheers. She got ready as the seconds for the match to begin was getting closer, gripping her wand tighter and tighter as the man was getting ready to in his offensive stance before the bell finally ringed.

The yellow magician whispered to the rukh and cast Parafulmine to Rufi, planning to start as strong as she could after she moved until their gap was 30 meters. Unfortunately, as the lightning strike coming down, Rufi blocked it by using his Steadfast Hold technique and ran quickly to Noir’s direction without noticing another spell cast by the girl, “Onda D’urto II”. The rukh produced a static energy wave and discharged into the man’s direction, directly hit him as he was not aware of the incoming attack. But he was not going to give up just yet, for all the years he spent to be what he was right now, he would never back down. He ran to Noir in an amazing speed and leaped forward to give the black haired girl violent slashes only to hit her borg, scattering it into pieces. The girl locked her golden eyes with Rufi’s while using the chance after she was blown around 5 meters from Rufi because of the pressure when her borg was broken, “Fulmine Lancia”, she cast and the rukh produced two lightning spears just after the man broke her borg, giving no chance to the man to counter any incoming attack towards him.

Rufi was hit by the spears and fell to the ground after letting out a small groan before darkness filled his eyes, Noir stopped herself to cast another spell to avoid killing him, making him unconscious was more than enough. The audience’s cheered loudly as Noir successfully defeated her enemy, but the black haired girl completely ignored the cheers, thinking that she might have to go back to the barracks, at least to get some rest before her next match. She couldn’t wait to enter another fight, but rushing herself wouldn’t do any good things. This is fun… She murmured to herself in an inaudible voice, feeling the fire of excitement has not been gone.
