Job Details:

It wouldn't be another day in Magnostadt if not for ambitious students causing trouble for the professors at the academy. Jobs such as these, where professors would hire other students to clean up their messes were always frustrating to Asha, but secretly she enjoyed them as she reaped the benefits of being increasingly more beloved by the faculty with each new job. Asha felt that, as a student here, she would do whatever it takes to get in the good graces of the faculty so that she might have a little bit of an easier time with her studies here--she doesn't want to work too hard. With the assignment in hand from her teachers, she walked through the south side of the city, looking for these so called "gaseous octopi" that were roaming the city and emitting dangerous fumes, causing people to vomit and be sluggish. Asha thought she should maybe have bought a gas mask or something of the sort, but it seemed unnecessary considering they were just life constructs--a skill and magic Asha was all too familiar with, although she would very much regret this decision, as the gaseous overlords of the south side of Magnostadt were just as annoying as they were smelly, and their stench could really slow a person down if need be. As she wandered through the south side, she saw an eight-legged creature scurry by, leaving behind a trail of what Asha could only assume was the gas in its wake.

"Are they...farting? This is the big problem? Farting life constructs? How do they even fart? Do they just poof out nauseating magic and pretend like the world's fine? This is OUTRAGEOUS. WHAT FREAK DECIDED THAT THIS OF ALL THINGS WOULD BE THE KIND OF THING YOU CREATE?" Asha said out loud, completely in shock that the big danger in Magnostadt was a group of farting, floating, green things. When she was done with these things, she was going to hunt down the students who summoned these creatures and give them a piece of her mind and show them the mean part of her staff and stick in their places where the sun doesn't shine. Taking a deep breath (and regretting that immediately after), Asha plugged her nose to hide the scent of decaying plants and what she could only assume was a fart that had rotted in the air and destroyed all living life around it to leave only plague and destruction. She was being dramatic, but the stench was unbearable, and she slowly moved through the city, trying not to vomit at the first sight of these creatures. She meandered around until she saw it--a lone farting octopus just standing in place and concentrating his unholy fumes in the area, as if it was on a mission to make life unlivable in the academy. With one motion of her staff, Asha commanded the rukh around her to concentrate pure hatred against these gaseous menaces, and with all the willpower she could muster, she managed to whisper out her spell Quah Alsif Zxrah, sending two thorny branches flying toward the octopus, before gagging uncontrollably and trying not to vomit at the smell of these creatures. Asha cheered, as best she could in this state, when the octopus was ripped in two and the area became clean, and less polluted with that awful odor. Patting herself on the back, she realized there were three more of these abominable creations, and wasting no time, decided it would be prudent to continue her search of the creatures before she emptied her lunch onto a wall.

"One down...three to go...where are these smelly little stink bombs..." Asha searched around, hoping for some semblance of a clue. After several minutes of very little success in finding anything that looked remotely like her target, Asha came up with the brilliant idea of just "following the smell." While this may have not been an excellent idea in preventing the god-awful smells of the creatures, she felt it was the only necessary course of action to avoid having to deal with those things so that the smell would go away. So, sniffing every few seconds, Asha followed the horrid, rancid odor of these creatures, taking a few seconds every so often to gag or dry heave, before continuing her search for the creatures by following their terrible and unimaginably rotting vegetable smell. She rounded a building, only to find two of these bad boys hovering next to each other, filling the air with their nasty fart-stink. It seemed like they were socializing almost, probably making funny jokes and anecdotes about how many people they made violently vomit in the street due to their impressive stink bombs. Asha assumed the worst of whatever their congregation was, and taking this as a wonderful opportunity to take out two stinkbugs with one spell, Asha lifted her staff up, and once again could only manage to whisper out the words to cast Rgs'ah Alurdah, sending four, thorny roses flying at the two octopi, having two of each rose slice through one of the creatures as she watched them dissolve in the sky and return to the rukh. The smell seemed to subside almost completely, but the assignment called for one more life construct, so she began her final search for this mysterious creature. Following the scent did not seem to help much, and as hard as she looked, she could not find a single trace of this octopus. Half wanting to give up and half needing to finish this, she decided to double back her steps see if she missed anywhere. After just a little bit of time searching for the creature, she realized it was moving behind her, almost...following her around the south side of the city. As she turned around and stopped, the gassy octopus also stopped and just hovered in front of her, farting gleefully as Asha plugged her nose in disgust. The octopus didn't move, and while Asha's movement was sluggish from the monster's gas, she, with great determination focused one last time and whispered out the commands to the rukh, using Quah Alsif Krmah, send two vines to rip through the creature. While it attempted to mvoe away, the vines were much too quick for the creature, and it ripped through the creature once again, having it dissolve into the rukh and disappear.

With a job well done, Asha got the heck out of the south side as fast as she could, hurrying to get away from the smell and tell the professors she'd completed the job and the farting octopi were no longer a menace to the society.
