Opponents:

Once again, Azix found himself signing up for a fight in the Coliseum. After his initial distaste of his previous about, the orange magician found himself longing for the adrenaline rush. He still believed it somewhat foolish to put your life on the line for sport, but the craving was too strong. The Coliseum had the added benefit of providing a quick and dirty way to gain more combat experience. Now that he was a King Candidate, the orange Azix could use all the experience he could get. Moving forward along fate's path had an unfortunate side-effect of obstacles crossing one's path.

At the registration counter, Azix set down the required huang and accepted the disclaimer a man handed him. While Azix scribbled his name on the form, the man looked the magician over. "Say, we have an open slot for a doubles match today. You had a previous victory, so you aren't too worthless. Feel like partnering up with a stranger?"

Azix arched a brow from under the hood of his cloak, the offer was risky. If the opponents were strong and his partner was weak, it would be a tough match. Taking the man's offer as a challenge from Fate, Azix nodded. "Sure, sign me up."

The man marked 'Xenos' down on a waiting list and pointed Azix towards a door. Through the door, the magician traveled down a hallway that led to one of the waiting areas. Several fighters stood around waiting for their turn and they looked up when he entered. Azix kept his face hidden underneath his black cloak and found a quiet corner to sit. While he waited, he decided to meditate and wait for his name to be called.

After several names were called and many cheers of the crowd had echoed through the gate, Azix overheard a booming voice announce that a doubles match was next. He opened his eye and scanned the room, seeing which fighters remained and which fighters had come after him.

"Our first contender is undefeated with four victories under her belt! Shelia Frocker!" When the booming voice outside announced the first contestant, but the gate didn't open Azix assumed it was an opponent.

The gate raised and the caucus cries of the crowd thundered through the room. "On the other side, we have a magician competing for the second time! His first match was a success, but was it beginner's luck? We shall see. Xenos!"

Hearing his name called, Azix grunted and stood up before walking towards the gate. He paused just before he walked through and gave a final glance at the fighters around. Azix wondered who would be fighting alongside him today. With a shrug he stepped into the sunlight to some moderate cheers from the crowd. Azix didn't expect many people to remember him, after all he had only fought once, so what cheers he did get were a surprise. Still, it was probably due to the building fervor of watching two teams of fighters compete against each other.

Xenos/Ayero VS Sheila/Calligrapher RydWbBb

Across the field, Azix saw a woman in green tight-fitting leather and a cloak. With a quiver of arrows, a bow in hand, and a determined look in her eye, Shelia looked like she would put up a challenge. Standing fifty meters apart from each other, magician and archer calculated each other with a critical eye while the announcer continued calling out the last two contenders.

When his partner's name was called, the magician would turn around in surprise and watch them enter. As luck would have it, he would be assisted by not a stranger, but a familiar face. The Fanalis warrior, Ayero, was an acquaintance that Azix had met a couple of times, she had even been hired to help him on a job at one point. Somehow, Ayero also was acquainted with Ariella, a close friend of Azix's. A close friend was an understatement, truth be told. The orange magician had slowly been falling for Ariella and if Ariella felt comfortable drunkenly nuzzling her face within Ayero's bosom, then Azix felt comfortable fighting alongside the Fanalis.

As she would approach, Azix would call out in awe, "Ayero..." With one hand raised to his hood, he grasped the fabric and ripped it from around him, letting the cloak take to the wind.

Azix smiled at the Fanalis woman, "Fate has led us to cross paths yet again."

With her most recent battle ending in a forfeit, Ayero had been itching to get back into the coliseum arena and steal herself a fair win. Though her win against Khalim technical was fair, his intention was not victory as it normally was for most coliseum fighters. As she registered for another fight, she was informed that there was a 2v2 match scheduled for today and was asked if she’d be interested in pairing up with another fighter. Raising a brow, Ayero thought about the offer. She didn’t know who she’d be fighting alongside and hoped it was someone she wouldn’t have to carry through the match. ”Hmm…” Though the Fanalis woman was wary, in the end she decided on giving it a shot. Might as well gain some arena experience is something other than solo battles. ”Alright, I’ll do it.”

This time, Ayero had decided to bring Kabu into the arena with her. They’d grown much closer since their fallout, and Ayero thought that the snake would be useful in a coliseum match. She’d allowed Vin to come and spectate as well, leaving Tomato with him as he made his way into the stands. The boy had a growing interest in learning to fight and had expressed wanting to see a warrior’s battle in the coliseum himself. Figuring that this would be the best way for Vin to be exposed to fighting without being in actual danger, Ayero finally agreed to let him watch.

”Our next contender with three wins under her belt, the Fanalis warrior Ayero!” Stepping out into the open area, the young red headed woman inhaled deeply as she faced the crowd. Even the noise from the throngs of people caused the adrenaline to course through her veins. Standing straight with her shoulders back, she scans the coliseum grounds until her eyes land on her partner. A look of surprise shows plainly on her face as she approaches the dark haired young man that was to be her partner.

”Wha…? Azix…?” She stares at the light magician for a few moments, momentarily stunned that she’d be fighting alongside someone she knew and that it would be him, of all people. She briefly wonders if he’d be able to hold his own in an organized match, but recalls how he’d saved her from a foolish mistake in battle that nearly lead to her death, destroying the creature who had dealt the devastating blow afterwards. Shaking off her surprise, she lets out a short laugh, her eyes twinkling with an eagerness for combat. ”Call it what you may, but now’s not the time for small talk. I came here for a good fight, so don’t let me down!” She gives the orange magician a hearty pat on the back before turning in time to see the final contender as she was announced.

”Our final contender is a mysterious magician of unknown origins! The Calligrapher!” A woman shrouded in dark robes appeared on the other end of the coliseum near the bow-wielding woman.

Xenos/Ayero VS Sheila/Calligrapher RJo5nJ0

Squinting her gaze, Ayero does her best to analyze them both from her current position, but there was not much that she could take away from the other women that was not already in plain sight. While she hadn’t heard of The Calligrapher, Shelia was someone who she was familiar with. The archer had started fighting in the coliseum around the same time as the Fanalis herself and had managed to remain undefeated thus far. Ayero had heard of her great skill with a bow, and decided that she would see for herself if the rumors of her ability in battle were true.

”I will take the archer and leave the mage to you. Does that sound fair?” She addresses Azix with her eyes still glued to their opponents 50 meters away, unsheathing her blade in preparation. When the announcer calls for the start of the battle, Ayero steels her gaze on Shelia and runs in the direction toward her at 10 m/s, raising her blade in preparation to deflect anything that might come her way.

Meanwhile, The Calligrapher takes flight, soaring 10 meters above the ground and removes an ink brush from the folds of her sleeves. With a practiced flick of her wrist, the woman quickly sketches a 5 meter long tiger in mid-air using her shadow magic. The shadowed beast sprints through the air at 15 m/s, heading at a downward angle should Azix stay grounded, or straight through the air should he choose to take flight.

Azix nodded to Ayero's statement, she was right, it was time to focus on the fight, they could talk later. The final opponent was announced, a magician using 'The Calligrapher' as her name. The cloaked figure walked from the gates on the opposite side of the ring and came to a rest near her partner. Azix watched them exchange a greeting while Ayero mentioned that she would take the archer.

Azix grunted, "Sounds good to me." From his back pocket, Azix produced his Rod of Pestilence, the wand he had found among the dungeon's treasures. Holding it tight in his left hand, the orange magician took a deep breath and exhaled. Azix used his Sakeru technique to manipulate the muscles in his legs. At the start of the battle, Azix would launch forward with all the speed of a Fanalis as he ran towards the Calligrapher.

They were against two long-ranged opponents and while Azix could fight at range, Ayero was a close-ranged fighter. His plan at the moment was to try to distract both enemies long enough for Ayero to move in closer. With his Borg, Azix could also take some damge, which he expected to receive. After all, charging in towards two opponents that had the advantage at a distance was dangerous.

The Calligrapher took to the air, assisted by gravity magic and pulled out an ink brush. An odd choice of medium to use, but Azix gave her points for creativity. The cloaked magician sketched something in the air and surprisingly, it came to life. What shocked Azix the most was the swirl of black and orange Rukh around the Calligrapher are she did so. 'Shadow magic! Jagang did say there were others, but....that is my magic!' Azix thought to himself, somewhat upset that he wasn't the only person around that combined light and strength magic to create and manipulate shadows.

Meanwhile, Sheila had taken a few steps back at the start of the match, looking between her two targets. She grinned when she saw them charge towards her and her partner. Three quick arrows were fired off in succession, one towards Azix and two towards Ayero. "Don't let them get any closer!" She shouted at the Calligrapher floating in the air nearby. "Especially the Fanalis!"

As Sheila and the Calligrapher's attacks flew towards their opponents, Azix conjured a a five meter Light Sphere which he used to clash against the Shadow Canvas construct in a fizzle of light. He flicked his wand towards the arrow heading his way and conjured a Force Wall, a meter in length and width. The arrow would meet the transparent wall and snap from the resulting shock.

Azix's attention was back to his opponents as the distance between his opponents continued to shrink. Picking through his options, the orange magician settled on sending a final distraction towards the archer, hoping it would serve Ayero well. Whispering a series of commands to the Rukh, Azix conjured a Solid Spear of Light at the tip of his wand. The point of the spear was aimed at Sheila before he fired it. With that he turned his attention back to the Calligrapher, seeing what she had in store.

Sheila noticed the bright spear of light heading her way and cursed under her breath. Sliding a Piercing Arrow on the string of her bow, she let it loose towards Azix's spell. The barbed tip manged to pierce through the solid spear of light, shattering it into shards of magoi. The clash knocked the arrow off course, but the arrow's momentum was enough for it to smack into Azix's Borg. Sheila hoped the Calligrapher had been paying attention and kept an eye on Ayero while she had aimed her attack. The support would be nice, especially with the Fanalis getting closer.

Azix blinked in surprise as he heard his Borg crack, but his eyes never left the Calligrapher.

While Azix dealt with the pair of ranged fighters, Ayero concentrated on using his cover the best she could as she made her way towards their opponents. Sheila’s skill as an archer showed itself when she let three arrows fly, her movements fluid and practiced. Ayero narrowed her eyes in concentration as two of the projectiles headed her way, only having roughly a second to react. She raises her scimitar to successfully block the first incoming arrow , the tip hitting the metal of her blade and snapping in the middle from the force of being stopped in mid flight. But the second arrow follows not a split second later, its trajectory slightly different than its sister. The archer woman had aimed both arrows in a way that they could not both be easily blocked by the other woman’s blade, causing the second projectile to embed itself into Ayero’s left shoulder.

The Fanalis warrior winces at the impact, the sharp feeling of the arrow piercing its way into her flesh spreading throughout her arm. The impact causes her to grunt, her steps faltering slightly as the right hand gripping her sword twitches with instinct, her mind reflexively telling her to remove the arrow. But she doesn’t, knowing that trying to pry the projectile from her arm would waste time and cause the wound to bleed worse. Instead, she swings her blade to the side and cuts off most of the body of the arrow, leaving only the head and about 2 inches of the shaft sticking out from her shoulder. As she does this, she continues towards Sheila while gathering the magoi in her legs, bursting forward with her Fleetfoot speed enhancement technique just as Azix sent his Solid Spear of Light towards the archer.

Silently thanking the light magician for his distraction, the Fanalis woman speeds towards the enemy fighters as quickly as her legs would allow. While Sheila had been distracted with Azix’s assault, The Calligrapher had caught the Fanalis’ quick movements. As Ayero began to close in, the airborne magician began to mutter commands to the rukh. Pointing her calligraphy brush at the ground, the cloaked woman flew forward until she had distanced herself from her partner enough before casting Shadow Arms onto the ground below. Black tendrils seemed to seep to the ground’s surface from below, quickly taking the shape of human arms and hands. These arms reached up and wound their way around the Fanalis woman’s legs when she was 5m away from Sheila, effectively immobilizing the red head.

Lurching forward as she’s suddenly finds herself immobilized by the inky shadows, Ayero struggles against them for a few short moments before she catches a glance of Kabu’s large red eyes at the side of her face. The snake had been silent and largely immobile until this point, as he generally always was until he felt as if he needed to step in and aid Ayero. Knowing that his time had come, Kabu contracts his muscles before launching himself forward in a Lunge towards Sheila.

Should he make contact with her body as intended, the black snake would then deftly slide along her bow arm, across her torso and over to her other arm. Should he succeed, his Struggle would immobilize both of Sheila’s arms, leaving enough of his upper body free for him to maneuver and sink his fangs into her shoulder.

After successfully stopping the Fanalis woman in her tracks, The Calligrapher turns her attention to her fellow magician. Raising her brush-like wand towards Azix, a hint of a smile can be heard in her voice. ”Surely, I’d be able to find inspiration in another orange magician…” As an answer to Azix’s light spear, the female magician conjures a smaller spear, this one made of shadows at the tip of her brush. Extending the spell to its 3 meter maximum, The Calligrapher launches her Shadow Spear in the direction of the orange magician.

As Sheila turned back to the Fanalis warrior, a gasp caught in her throat. Ayero stood before her, five meters away, though she was tied to the ground by strange shadow hands. She gave a silent thank you to the Calligrapher as she drew back another Piercing Arrow. From this distance, the arrow would easily hit its mark and seriously wound Ayero. At the same time she loosed the arrow, Kabu lunged from his place around Ayero in an attempt to attack the archer. The arrow's barbed tip would slice along Kabu's side, but it would be enough to prevent the arrow from striking Ayero.

Sheila hadn't expected the snake and as such, froze for a moment, which was enough time for Kabu to wrap around both arms. The archer refused to drop her bow, even if she couldn't move her hands. Instead, she dropped her center of gravity to perform a Dodge Roll fifteen meters to the side of Ayero, getting some distance in case the Fanalis broke away. During the roll, Kabu sunk his fangs into her shoulder and she stifled a cry. Breaking into a run, she tried to put some more distance between the Fanalis so she could come up with a plan to deal with Kabu.

Meanwhile, with Azix's focus on the Calligrapher, he missed both Ayero's immobilization and the resulting scene with Kabu and Sheila. He was busy watching the shadow magician's wand form a shadow spear and send it towards him. 'So you really want to play with shadows? Fine!' Azix thought to himself. The three meter long spear would streak through the air, but never find its mark.

With a flourish of his Rod of Pestilence, Azix used his Kage Youshiki spell to conjure two shadow tentacles before him. Both seven-meter long tendrils would swat at the encroaching shadow spear, causing both spells to explode in a mist of magoi and force. Azix wasn't done there, though, he continued to sustain Sakeru and ran to get as close as possible to the magician. At the same time, his hair started to take on the appearance of a long, wild mane of a Crazy Horse. His hair grew at an insane rate till it was twenty-five meters long. As if it were alive, the growth of hair was directed like a snake up and towards the Calligrapher in the air. The sharp point was searching for the Calligrapher's Borg to shatter it. If Azix's calculations were correct, it would be enough to destroy the automatic magoi defense that came natural to magicians.

While the hair traveled towards the Calligrapher, a strange thought came to Azix. His God's necklace had the power to not only revive someone as had been witnessed a few times, but he had learned it could heal as well. Before he had left Reim for Imuchakk, Azix had a meeting with Lagi in which he had healed the King's wounds and pride. What occurred to him though as a natural Light magician is that while the power of life and light magic combined could heal, it should be able to damage as well. The power of the Gods was bestowed upon this necklace and while it could bless with the gift of life, shouldn't it also be bestowed with the wrath of the Gods?

While he had this thought, the God's necklace seemed to warm against his chest where it rested. Slipping his free hand in his shirt, he pulled the cross pendant free and trickled magoi into the magical tool. Unlocking the last hidden ability of the necklace, Azix directed Il Illah's Wrath below the Calligrapher. A fifteen meter wide ring of light formed and launched upwards into the sky, which would consume the Calligrapher if she didn't move. The cylindrical beam of Holy light would deal extreme third degree burns and if the Borg had been shattered, would leave the shadow magician in extreme pain.

Assuming his attacks had been successful, Azix would then turn to Ayero to see how she was managing in her fight.

Recognizing the look of surprise on Sheila’s face as she turned to see the Fanalis woman closer to her than she had probably expected, Ayero feel a bit of smugness well up in her chest. Not a lot of people were thrilled about facing a Fanalis warrior at close range. But the archer had notice not just Ayero’s presence, but the shadowed hands that held her in place. Making the most of her opponent’s immobilization, Ayero watched as Sheila let one of her barbed arrows fly directly towards her. It so happened that the other woman’s attack had been launched at the same time Kabu took to the air as well, the arrow meant for Ayero striking the desert snake along the length of his airborne body.

Ayero watched in momentary awe as the projectile caught along the side of the snake, who writhed and hissed in pain but still had the drive to complete his assault. He hissed and spat wildly as his enemy ducked in to a roll while sinking his fangs successfully into her skin. Blood seeped from the deep would along his side and the snake shuddered, his grip loosening on the woman just slightly as she ran.

Seeing her companion take a hit for her and continue fighting despite his grievous wound cause a flame of anger to flare up within the Fanalis woman. As the archer began her Dodge Roll, Ayero began hacking at the shadowed hands that held her to the ground. Stabbing the tip of her blade into the arms closes to her legs with a Fierce Jab, she watched as the arms released her and began to fall as if wounded, eventually fading as they touched the ground and the spell was broken. Wasting no time now that her enemy could not temporarily reach her weapon, Ayero continued the flow of magoi into her legs to sustain the enhanced speed of her Fleetfoot and closed in on Sheila as she tried to put more distance between the two. With her blade in hand, she allows the magic gems embedded in the weapon to pull at her magoi, using it to fuel her gravity magic technique of Extend. With her eyes focused intensely at her target, she lets loose two slashes from her sword aimed at Sheila’s legs.

[Trained: Struggle 500+/500]

The Calligrapher hadn’t noticed anything that had happened between the two warriors below her after immobilizing the Fanalis woman, instead turning her attention back to Azix. A look of pure surprise came across her face as the male magician conjured a pair of shadow tentacles and sent them to intercept her shadow spear. In all her travels, coming across another magician capable of using the combination of orange and black rukh to create shadow magic was a rather rare event. Despite having her spell parried by another, a spark of light shone in the woman’s eye at finding someone who used the same type of technique as she.

But The Calligrapher didn’t let her surprise last for long nor did she let it take her notice from Azix, immediately flying backwards at a speed equal to his own. To her shock, the orange magician had more up his sleeve than shadow magic. Her eyes widened as Azix used body manipulation to grow out his hair at an insane length and speed in her direction. Grasping her wand, she moves to perform another Shadow Canvas in haste, sending a sketch of a 5m tall gorilla at the other mage just as his hair pierced her borg. ”Now…that is something I have yet to see!” Her comment sounds amused and partially impressed as she’s able to see the hair up close, seeming unhindered as her borg is shattered around her.

Aware that she was now at a disadvantage, the female magician sends another Shadow Spear down at Azix in an attempt to slow him down before taking flight to the left, away from Sheila and Ayero. She kept her eyes on Azix, wary of any more surprises that he had in store. As he gripped his cross shaped necklace, The Calligrapher quickly sketches two cobras with her Shadow Sketch and flicks her wrist, sending them down at Azix just as he launches Il Illah’s Wrath upwards. The beam of light obscures her features as it consumes the magician, any screams of pain unheard. When Azix’s final attack would fade, the Calligrapher would descend from the sky, her body and clothes charred from the holy light.

While his hair managed to pierce through both shadow gorilla and Borg of the opposing magician, Azix had to account for the magician's fleeing movements. With her trajectory in mind, he was able to catch the Calligrapher in his final spell. Unfortunately, he traded concentration for his Borg, letting the Shadow Spear shatter it into dust. Her last two spells managed to get through Il Ilah's wrath and streaked towards him.

Azix sustained Kage Youshiki to reform the shadow tendrils, sending each to intercept a shadow cobra. An explosion of light and force burst outward as the two spells clashed. With the magician defeated, Azix turned to Ayero to see if she needed help. In the back of his mind, he did feel inspired add more creativity to his shadow magic spells in the future. Molding the shadows into thing other than hands and tendrils was clever.

Sheila felt the slack in the snake give out and spared a moment to thrust a knee upwards at Kabu, while simultaneously lowering her wrists, in an attempt to dislodge the snake. If it were successful, she would look up to see Ayero charging towards her with an enraged look upon her face. This time she didn't hesitate and quickly fired off a volley of ten Explosive Shots. She aimed the arrows so they would form a ring of explosions around Ayero when she would be within ten meters of the archer to prevent any further movement without risk of serious damage.

She followed up with a Piercing Arrow towards the Fanalis warrior, as Ayero sent two slahes into the air. Without the eyes of a magician, she smirked, thinking the Fanalis woman daft. She was soon corrected of her mistake as two transparent slashes extended from the blade towards Sheila. One slash knocked the arrow off course, removing some of the feathers along the blade and lost momentum. The barbed tip of the arrow lodged in the dirt nearby Ayero's feet harmlessly. The other slash ripped into Sheila's breast, shattering her rib cage and sent fragments to pierce into her heart.

Sheila fell to the ground, clutching her chest and coughed blood violently upon the dirt. It was apparent who the victor in this match was.

Azix turned to find Ayero standing a ways from Sheila, who was lying on the ground. Kabu was also on the ground nearby, bleeding profusely. With the speed of a Fanalis, Azix ran to get closer to Ayero and Kabu. He stepped behind Ayero and placed a hand on her shoulder. He caught his breath for a moment before speaking, "I can heal you two if you want."

Sheila’s knee was successful in removing the already weak snake from her limbs. Though the blow didn’t do much to harm the serpent, it had enough force behind it to cause his muscles to retract and slide from her arms.

As the archer regains control of her arms and fires off a round of arrows towards the Fanalis, Ayero stops in her tracks as she’s roughly 10 meters from the other woman, poised in the middle of the ring of arrows. She lets loose her gravity magic enhanced slashes as the explosions go off, obscuring her vision momentarily as she raises a hand to shield her eyes from the light. As the blasts died down, Ayero was treated to the sight of a gravely injured Sheila clutching at a bloody would along her chest.

The triumphant look in Ayero’s eyes was soon replaced with worry as she heard the weak hissing of Kabu several meters away. The snake writhed faintly on the dirt ground, blood still seeping from the laceration to his body although less than before. Still in battle mode, Ayero’s heart beat rapidly as she took a step forward towards her fallen beast at the same time Azix put a hand on her shoulder. Ayero had been too distracted by her own battle and Kabu’s injuries to spare a thought towards the two magicians, almost forgetting that she was partnered with the orange mage. Unfortunately for Azix, his good intentions would be met with Ayero’s innate combat instincts.

Wasting no time, the panting Fanalis pivots on her heel while simultaneously lowering her body before bursting upwards once she was fully turned towards him. An outstretched fist would catch Azix in his groin as she continued to turn, the force of her fist sending the man sailing through the air.

”GGRAAAAHHHHH!” The woman would should as she reached the apex of her attack, not yet realizing that she had just delivered a harsh blow to a pair of allied gonads. The cries from the crowd had begun to die down after Azix and Ayero's victory, and only a distracted murmur could be heard as Ayero launched her fist into her partner's jollies. Cheers began to erupt from the audience; they had come to see warriors duking it out in the arena and this was a confusing yet pleasing turn of events.

Ayero's quick movements had barely registered in his mind. As he started to speak he was cut short as a Fanalis fist caught him in the goods and his voice turned to a squeak. "I can heal youuuuuuu-!" With a high-pitched cry, Azix was thrust upward, along with his jewels which crunched painfully and sent in an arc away from Ayero.

He landed in the dirt with a painful whimper as he clutched his now broken family jewels, which were lodged in an unnatural position. He writhed on the ground feebly, as he tried to make sense of the agony in his abdominal region. The cheers of the crowd barely registered with the orange magician.

If Ayero approached, Azix would try in between gasps to convince her to gather Kabu and herself nearby. When she did, the orange magician would fight through the agony to reach to his God's Necklace and conjure a Blessing of the Gods around him in a five-meter diameter area. The amount of magoi required for the spell would put the orange magician dangerously close to exhaustion, but it would heal his honor as a man and the wounds of his partners in a bright flash of light.

Afterwards, Azix would lay panting on the ground before pushing himself up into a sitting position. He shook his head at Ayero, "I think once we defeated the other team we could have stopped fighting." With those final words, Azix passed out into a deep sleep. He would wake up later in a bed, well-rested before making his way out of the Coliseum.

It took a few longs seconds for Ayero to finally register who she had hit, the intense look on her face dropping to an expression of shock as the poor magician is sent upwards while simply trying to help the Fanalis and her wounded partner. Covering her mouth with a hand, she takes a few steps towards him before she remembered that Kabu was still likely writhing on the ground behind her. As she pauses in conflict, she’s surprised to hear Azix call out to her, instructing her to bring both herself and the snake near. Nodding quickly, she sprints over to the snake who had since gone still, passed out from exhaustion and blood loss. Nervously, she gathers the beast into her arms and makes her way back towards Azix who still seemed to be in pain.

As she knelt beside him, the magician wrapped a hand around his pendant and raised a cylindrical beam of light around the three fighters. It was over quickly, and when Ayero blinked the spots of light from her vision she was surprised to see that not only had her arm wound been healed, but the gash alongside Kabu had seemingly faded as well. Now awake and more alert, the black snake carefully wound his way around Ayero, still tired from the battle.

”Erm…sorry about that, ahaha.” The Fanalis woman gave him a sheepish smile while rubbing at the back of her neck. ”You just startled me, is all…thanks for healing us. You’re not so terrible in the arena after all, huh?” As she spoke, she noticed that Azix began to fade, passing out shortly no doubt due to exhaustion. With a small chuckle, she hoists the man into her arms and heads for the arena exit.
