Conquering another dungeon was something that never crossed Noir’s mind. Her curiosity and thirst for knowledge led her to go through a lot of adventures. The journey was somewhat exciting and fruitful, although sometimes her curiosity led her to some dangerous situations as well. But as the seeker of knowledge, things like that were to be expected, no?

Noir stared at the ring on her finger, a snake-shaped ring made from black steel she picked at the dungeon. Perhaps the most eye-catching point about the ring was the fact that it was an ouroboros, a snake eating its own tail. After everything Noir had been through, it felt like the meaning of the symbol for eternal cyclic renewal or a cycle of life, death, and rebirth kind of befitting.

Now that the magician thought about it, the first time she had to train Dantalion, Yakuroro was there to guide her. The Imuchak was kind enough to teach her patiently until she was able to perform the final form, which was the Djinn Equip form. However later on she found out he had another plan, a price she had to pay in return for his guidance. Unfortunately, Noir paid him in the worst possible way, by taking his life. Well, actually. Rion did… but she was still a part of her no matter how much she wanted to deny it.

Now Noir had to try to train herself if she wanted to control Vine’s power. She was sure that even without Yakuroro’s presence, she would still able to recall all the teachings he shared to her. Of course, due to her photographic memory, she wouldn’t be able to forget.

Funnily enough, both of her metal vessels for Dantalion and Vine had the same theme, which was snake shaped accessories. Although one was an arm bangle and the other one was a ring. Now that she put more thought into it, somehow even the vibe between the two Djinns she had was similar… Dehydration magic and Earth magic sounded like desert-themed power. The magician wondered if she was a Heliohaptan in her previous life because of this. But it was simply a funny guess… Even if it might be true, she wondered if her past self was also a knowledge seeker like her. But the most important thing that she hoped for in her previous life was that they were able to be happy.

Back to Djinn's talk, Noir remembered how Vine Dungeon taught her about mercy and brutality. For Noir who used to only know about black and white, the lesson she got helped her to stand on the grey side, where she could mix both sides into one. Vine helped her to gain strength within her heart and showed her how to be harsher in life, although she reminded Noir to not lose her kindness in the process. To think that she would still get a life lesson from something like a dungeon was interesting. Well, you’d always get knowledge from a place you didn’t expect anyway.
