Castle Town! (Job/plot)

the events of a battle having recently unfolded in the middle of the night, the high priestess of the flames knew that they would need to go right into the next step as soon as possible. She was certain that there would be another wave of enemies seeing that these attackers were not some mediocre bandits but some kind of personal guards or soldiers. It was clear to the pale lady that there were some Helio nobles that believed that they have some sort of claim to the lands that the Sacred Order of the Flames Reach has started their construction on. She was not concerned for herself but if a large enough force comes knocking they could end up destroying the process they have made so far and set them back by weeks or even months.

It would be close to a week after the attack that the second platoon of Hidden Flames would come to help with construction. Once they were on location the construction would be under way once again. This time the goal would be to create the entirety of the castle town since it would more or less one large continuous structure with a large open up center for smaller buildings and courtyards and the like. This construction would normally take a year at the last but the inner circle had made plans to try to complete it in half that time. This would be by managing a supply chain that would be constant and make sure they have a steady source of materials. It would be similar to this for the work force as well. They would have several hundred people working for about a week or two at a time before being replaced with a fresh wave of workers. On top of this, those in charge of this operation were people who knew how to handle getting supplies as well as leading and organizing a construction on such a large scale.

Gilles would be set aside for the most part since she was the religious of militaristic side of the organization for the most part. She would lead sermons daily during the twilight hours around a large bonfire to keep their moral and belief high, this was important part of their group. Gilles had the inner circle in order to plan most of these things that she had little to no knowledge in, but also so that she could do the things that she was capable of to their fullest potential. Loew Bezalel and Hemet would make sure that the convoys and caravans for the supplies would make it back and forth safely. They were intimidating and powerful creatures that could handle most of the average people that frequent the desert country under the occupation of bandits and marauders. That being said, it was of course impossible for them to protect every group that was bringing fresh supplies that were successfully attacked and plundered of their wares. These hiccups would set them back a little bit but they were still on track to finish well before a year in total of work. They would be done after roughly 9 months of hard and laborious construction.

Once the castle was complete on the level of the structure itself it would result in being a massive structure that would be capable of housing several thousand members. Like she had originally planned this would serve more as a castle town being capable of housing buildings around and in the center as well. There would be towers at each of the four cardinal directions that would resemble the Cardinal flames that support the High Priestess as her body and inner circle but also the 4 lesser flames that were servants of the Great Flame itself which the inner circle was based on. There would be smaller rises in the outer wall so that outlooks and archers could be placed when needed. The height would equate to about a 5 storied building with many floors and was thick enough to support the total weight of each section. Gilles felt certain that this would prove to be a suitable home for the Helio branch of SOFR but also be defendable against most armies barring siege weapons and large magical beasts such as the mantis of the Tartarus leader.

Once the initial construction was done they would take about a week long break celebrating their success so far with food and drinks brought from their merchant groups for this day. Once they were well rested they would begin to finish this construction by working on the inside of the structure. This mainly meant just finishing the rooms by completing the walls and decorations and painting the interior. The interior would be painted with a crimson color as well as some dark and bright oranges, the colors of their order’s sigil and coat of arms. The outside would be done up in a similar sort of fashion but this would give it more of an intense and foreboding sense of aura and appeal then on the inside.

Gilles would not take part in this much either since she was not well suited for such tasks or jobs. Her hand only knew the glories of bloodshed and fire. It was not meant for things of the civilized world and a part of her knew that. The religion she led was great and actually helped people but everyone knew it was barbaric in a sense, using fire to cull the unworthy and sort them out from the chosen of the lord of flames. Her head was always loud with thoughts, her own as well as those from the inner circle and her children that follow her. But moments like this made the thoughts dullen and she felt almost normal but that peace would never last. She was one who craved the smell of burning flesh and relished in the cacophony of anguished screams. She could not live without them and that was her reason for this, to burn for herself and her lord of Flames.
